Learn to crochet Easter egg cover with a chick design. It is fast and easy. This is sure to make kids smile. It's perfect for a little surprise on an Easter Egg Hunt. This little chick is a great way to use up small amounts of yarn and makes a fun decoration.
I used store bought plastic eggs to put inside my chick Easter egg cover. I can fill my plastic eggs with different candies. You can also use a Cadbury Easter Egg, the kind that are already wrapped in foil. It fits into the Easter egg cover.

With a chain stitch, work some loops around the bottom base and you now have grass for the chix to sit on.

It's supposed to curl. You are going to sew it up and stuff the head and the bottom has the egg in it. So you want it rounder.
