Great tutorial! For stuffing I buy an inexpensive pillow at wal-mart for about 4.00 and tear it open and use the fill. I can make so many things with that. Way cheaper than buying a bag of stuffing.
I know it’s not Easter now, but I am working with a group of children that are exploring birds and I’ve been crocheting some wee birds for them. These are the perfect eggs 🥚! Thank you, you never fail me when I’m looking for a pattern for anything ❤
Hi Crystal. Thank you once again for sharing. Nothing creepy, you are just improvising. These are good Easter decorations. They can be used for garlands, wreaths, etc. Have a great weekend!
That is so cute ! for Easter I’m going to make a couple of them for my grandchildren they are 2 and 3 years old only thing is I’m going to do differently is put a cat ball that has a bell in it and put that in there with the stuffing then when they shake it it will make noise 👍 😊
This is perfect. Thank you, you're directions are wonderful and so easy to follow, you're so clear about all the steps. And by the way, it's not creepy, I do the same thing, take apart older stuffed animals and reuse the stuffing, it's called "upcycling" :D
Love this pattern, I decorate a pencil tree for each holiday during the year, and these make great decor to hang on the tree for Easter, thank you, love all your videos
I made these for my grandchildren's Easter baskets. They are so much fun to make; they are addictive. I kept saying, 'I will make just one more.". One more turned into several more! I love them. I want to crochet a basket to put them in. Thank you so much for this tutorial! It is great!
Omg yaaaaassssssss 😍😍😍!!!!! Thank you soooo much for this tutorial Crystal! I've been trying to do something cool for Easter and this is egg-cellent! I'm sorry I had to😉🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for your excellent teaching. I’m just learning to make things and have found that you always teach as if a person is learning for the first time to crochet without being boring. I can’t believe I made your egg! I thought I was hopeless cause I started three times and then realized I do need to count my stitches cause I kept adding or skipping each time and then closely listening to you. Thanks again.
Yay eggs crystal your not strange re using old toy stuffing I re use old polyester bed pillows for my toys ect you can get lots of filling from those I'm all for recycle x
Thank you for the video today! I love the Easter eggs I have seen others make & some are even embroidered with decorative pieces. These are very cute & just the right size.
These are the last thing I thought I'd ever make but you make it so easy! I have a half dozen already! Very quick & I used an old sock cut up to stuff!! I would have never thought of that except for you & the comments!! Great way to use up my dishcloth left overs. Thanks, Crystal!!
Crystal these are adorable. I`m all about reuse, recycle and repurpose and so your no stranger than I am. Although I am a beginner I go to thrift store and purchase the torn ( unthreaded) blankets & afghans, (saving them lol) then mind them to pass onto those who need them, even furry friends.
I've told you this once but it bears repeating. I've been fighting breast cancer and your tutorials have given me an outlet. Thank you so much for sharing your craft.
Love this tutorial!! Great project for using up scrap yarn and I used quilt batting scraps for stuffing. Thank you so much for what you share with us on RUclips and please know how much I appreciate your teaching.
I made these for our annual family Easter Egg hunt for the kids. They loved them! Then today I was babysitting a 3 year old little girl who found one of my grandson's eggs and wanted it, but he didn't want to give it up so I made one on the spot for her. She sat in front of me watching as I made it. I handed it over to her as soon as the last stitch was in and she was so excited. She carried it around and would not put it down. She wanted me to make something for her Mommy and I just happened to be working on a small basket so I finished that up as well and gave it to her Mommy. Mommy loved the little basket and several ideas for it until baby girl came in the room and saw it. She took the little basket from Mommy, put her egg in it and said, "My egg basket!" and then proceeded to take off with it, lol. Thank you so much for teaching this pattern. You made a LOT of children happy, especially a little three year old who lost her Daddy to cancer a year ago.
I almost spit my coffee across the room when you said you dissect old stuffed animals to reuse their stuffing... so funny. Totally something I would do. Love it Crystal!
Love love love these, I laughed so hard when you said that you use the stuffing from old or ripped stuffed animals I have all the stuffing from and old couch that I use...lol so awesome. Love your videos they are easy to follow and that is so helpful. Stay amazazing and please keep making great videos. Xoxoxo
You know, crafters are amazing for the environment! We repurpose, reuse, and renew everything, lol. From bread ties to toilet paper & paper towel rolls, cardboard boxes to old plastic paint cans. Yes, I repurposed/ reused/ upcycled an old 5 gallon plastic paint can and turned it into a beautiful umbrella stand once. No one can say we don't go green, lol.
These are cute and safe for little ones to play with. Using the stuffing of old stuffed animals is not creepy it’s smart. Thanks for a very nice tutorial. Happy EASTER Crystal and family‼️
I love these Crystal, I just found out I going to be An Great-aunt and they are having a girl so happy and crocheting all your Dresses and girl thing I'm over the moon :)

I was looking for crocheted eggs and came across this one. Yay. My favorite crocheter too!!! You were making me laugh about the stuffing. That's not crazy at all. Stuffed animals are no longer in my house but old pillows are. I rip them apart and put the pillow stuffing in a plastic bag and that is what I use when I need stuffing. LOL . It's called recycle! LOL. Stay safe and God Bless.
Great tutorial! For stuffing I buy an inexpensive pillow at wal-mart for about 4.00 and tear it open and use the fill. I can make so many things with that. Way cheaper than buying a bag of stuffing.
Great idea!
You're my person! Love this idea!
Old socks or tshirts for stuffing repurposing
Laundry lint works as well. ❤
I used my son's old coat. He accidentally melted it standing too close to the fireplace.
These are going to be cute in all of the Easter baskets I've crocheted for my family.
I know it’s not Easter now, but I am working with a group of children that are exploring birds and I’ve been crocheting some wee birds for them. These are the perfect eggs 🥚! Thank you, you never fail me when I’m looking for a pattern for anything ❤
