I'm so happy with this design that I am just finishing 120 of these bunnies for my granddaughters school for 240 Easter smiles as Lock Down has been hard on us all but these will be brilliant to see the smiles on faces of the children (and no money has been handed over as I have Donated them in)

This was my second crocheting attempt. My bunny turned out way too big for an easter creme egg... or maybe ours are smaller in Canada! lol I used a medium 4 cotton yarn. What did you use and what would you recommend?
Hi, sorry for the late reply, i have only just seen it. I used an acrylic double knit yarn and a 3.5mm crochet hook, sometimes just using a smaller hook can help. It can be a problem when different countries have different yarn sizes. Hope all goes well next time and i hope your creme eggs are not smaller :)
Hi, Sharon, thank you for watching :) The eyes i use here are just small black beads that I bought a string of from Ebay, they are approximately 3mm in diameter. If this gift is for a young child though i would recommend just sewing on eyes with either, black yarn or embroidery cotton and not using the beads at all. Hope this helps 😊

Ive just came across this video and tried to make it but once ive done the 7 rounds my creme egg is too small for it, even with the two decrease rounds its still way too big for the creme egg whereas yours fits in nice. Am i doing something wrong?
Hi it is hard to tell without seeing it, firstly just checking if you are used to american or uk patterns. Next double check your yarn size are some do vary quite a bit, also if still no good try going down a hook size. Please let me know how you get on and i will still try and help ☺☺
Hi sorry just had a look and yes i dont go into the sewing up detail. All you need to do is using the loose end from the ear position wher you want it and using just a couple of stitches sew into place. I don’t understand when u say just in double crochet 🧶? Also I think you should put the camera a bit closer so we can see the loops properly and explain more in depth. But nice video and crochet egg cover 😊
Hi, if i remember when i said just in double crochet i meant that that all the pattern was just done in one style of the stitch, the UK Double crochet, hope that makes sense. Thankyou for watching and for making a comment, all comments help me improve my videos😊

I feel like the host was racing to prove it could be completed quickly rather than concentrating on teaching the technique. Not great for a beginner.
