My employer acquired one of these. I used it for the first time this week. Dude! I love it! We have pneumatic impacts that weigh a ton. This thing weighs near nothing and killed it busting 1" bolts. I love this tool!
On something that big and rattling that much you cant expect the battery to stay still without it practically being bolted to the tool

@@nuclearexplosion5841 Even the generic 1/2 inch midtorque guns with 500 ft lbs still have this issue, which i'm pretty sure other brands such as snap on do not have. I like milwaukee but i'm sure they could find a work around to make them a little more stable. I'd be willing to pay another 20-30 bucks for R+D if the batterys would just stay solid and not feel cheap
Bailey Hatfield your exactly right. I’ve got a 1/2 high torque and brand new it jiggles around. After time the tool gets worn and it gets so loose that it looses contact with the battery and doesn’t work at times. M12 doesn’t have that issue. I’m sure it’s really only an issue on the impacts because no other tool other than maybe a recip saw makes that much vibration.
Its a funny thing, I was watching reviews of the new 1" (non D handle) the other day, and thought it wouldent be long before they released something like this :)
Sweet baby Jesus. That behemoth makes the 12A battery look like a 2A battery. I don't need one but I want one. Does anyone know if they make a 1" drive to 3/8" drive adaptor? LOL

I put these lyrics together to cheer me up when I hear it. Now it is about a dad telling his kid that what mom would really like for Christmas is power tools. And the kid innocently talking about how his mom will be busting some nuts tonight. A big, lug’s nuts.
It's not made for iron work or construction that is what the other 1" gun is made for. The videos clearly show what it's intended for which is heavy machinery fitters. Doing up new bolts doesn't require a massive beast of a gun but undoing bolts and nuts that have been in service does becuase they take like 4 times the torque to undo. You don't get that in construction all the mechanics/fitters out there know what I'm talking about.
I call BS on that bolt count. But this is a very nice tool. My earthquake "extended" 1" earthquake with a 100' 1/2 hose straight connected for the RV is a bit to lug around... This tool would be much nicer for portability. I bet they will sell the crap out of these. Prolly could use a better battery stabilization design tho. Tks for sharing! Nobody else is talking bout this..

Pretty sure from a basic drill to the impacts they got the same battery system...and it do be kinda floppy and makes the tool seem cheap. Great tools which i love but come on like get the battery situation sorted and i can't see much reason to go with other brands if you're looking for the best bang for your buck
Yea portability is great. But for heavy use air is still better. It's like all good cordless impact guns though they're good for portability but won't last as long as air in a heavy use enviroment. So for mobile field guys that have to go out and do a fix they're awesome but get back from mobile to the work shop and 10 hours on the gun doing wheels or something and cordless would die in a year. I have cordless drills just like everybody but I still use my air drill for long continuous work loads like wire wheeling stuff. Both have their place.
Omg foot pound is pound foot it's the same. The difference is a duramax diesel engine makes power which is torque x time, so 1000ftlbs x 1000rpm = 190hp. Where the impact wrench is different is it will take time to get to a final torque valve. So is you get a big bar say 10ft long then put 100pounds of weight on that bar that's 1000ftlbs of force tightening a bolt. The impact just does this without a bar but little impacts and might take 10 seconds to get to that number. The duramax however constantly has torque coming out and it uses that to spin stuff how many times it can spin stuff in a given time is it's power output.
@@zedman442 it could be but milwaukee had problem with batteries coming off....you can see them on youtube. I had bought a milwaukee 1/2 impact wrench and the battery was kinda loose so i return it and bought a makita.
Milwaukee makes some AWESOME products but I do worry about durability and longevity though. Is it a lazy, easy going muscle cat of a product or is it like a highly strung Indy Car racer pushed to its limits?
Somewhere in Milwaukee headquarters: milwaukee engineers:yes,we will listen demands of mechanics and we will fabricate what ever they come up with, and we will fullfill every their desire,in meanwhile somewhere in japan in makita hq:makita engineers talking to makita ceo,hey boss milwaukee beating us we need to come up with something,we have nice ideas for a new tools,we spoke with daily mechanics and they gave us some good ideas, makita ceo:wtf i don't want to listen mechanics and their nosense,we will produce coffee machines, portable fridges, jackets and useless things and you will stick to my plan or you will get fired, makita engineers laughing who gives a fuck we will do like boss says produce shit which is useless.regards from:croatia.
Your always going to trade something. A 1" or Spline Drive impact with a 1/2" air hose with free flowing Chicago fittings has a ton of power available. But a battery tool trades the torque and speed for portability.

Dang. No good.
I needed 1901 ft lbs fastening tq.
I'll wait for the next one.
Turn it with your hands while you tighten it 🤣
Just get a 1000 foot breaker bar and put 1.901 lbs of force on it🤣

big chungus tape on a 1,000$ tool to hold the battery still? Hard pass
They need to rethink the battery holding system.... just look at that rattling battery:)
Ever held a 1" impact gun? Everything shakes. Even you. And my m18 fuel high torque 1/2" impact does the same. Still works strong..
Provably done one purpose to protect battery from vibration
Sebastien Hache that’s the point. Makita does it better and so does Bosch. Battery retention I mean.
bente pacaa I have the same theory. The battery might be isolated to protect it. If not...

I dont like the way the battery was rattling around when he's hammering on those bucket blade nuts
Best one yet but that design won't last so long...look at the violent vibration at 0:43 the battery placement is going to break off
Lololol gee some people have no idea.
The battery is desgined to do that as it has a moving tray to dampen vibrations in the battery pack.

Why didn't they use their 28 volt battery and have a real monster in the same size package?

It’s like that for a reason. It has the flex in it when the big torque kicks in.
