Corvin is what happens when a tank is scaled to keep aggro in a game where high numbers are very possible.
How to use Corvin:
Step 1: Press A, B, X or Y
Step 2: Watch things die.

So glad Corvin gets a spotlight, he’s my favorite male blade in a game dominated by female blade waifus!
I thought Corvin was pretty weak but then I understood he's very versatile and he's very easy to use against Elma. What I don't know is if using Corvin, Dagas and Patroka (or Adenine) is better than Corvin, Adenine and Patroka. Dagas has the Kaiser Zone but Adenine and Patroka both have that elemental debuff 100% which is rather nice. My doubt is for Elma Redux.
@@juanjosedelpinorivas7099 If exploiting an elemental weakness, the combination of Patroka and Adenine will always be stronger than replacing one of them with Dagas.
That said, if not exploiting a weakness, then Dagas will be better.
@@codename618 I had the doubt because I don't remember if Galactic Strike can hit all the clones or not using Dagas, but Ghost Factory can be glitched with a level 3 special iirc. It's the same idea as hitting the gogols in right before Carlos using Dagas to expand the AoE. I haven't tried this yet, it's been months and I kinda want to reduce a bit my personal times in many challenges.

How to lower the difficulty in XC2:
Route A:
-system > setting > choose a lower difficulty
Route B:
-awaken Corvin
-equip it to Rex
Lmao. However, it doesn't have to be Rex. I placed him on Morag, and was just as effective.

XC2: DE needs to give us an unlockable Pneuma we can kit out and level up... the dream.
Honestly, when Xenoblade: the Zohar collection (and if not that, a port of Xeno 2) is released on a future console, the only, ONLY, change I want above all others is Xenoblade 2 finally getting good tutorials. People old and new deserve to finally be walked through how to play the game right, it’s the least this game could do.
Hopefully she can be used permanently in new game plus, maybe with her party crit buff nerfed a bit

I never used any of the dlc blades much, but now I feel like picking up the game again to try them out. I’ve been meaning to go back and get the rest of the rare blades that I missed for awhile now and these blade guides are motivating me to play it but I feel like I should finish definitive edition first
The only downside to corvin is how slow his specials in my opinion

I love how I'm going back to playing XC2, prepping up for NG+ after feeling so daunted by the sight of all the quests needed to be finished [looking at you, Ursula], the superbosses needed to be defeated, blades needed to be obtained, cores to farmed, basically EVERYTHING for years now, and here you are, my angel, uploading videos pretty much just when I gave the whole "who should be used by who" and "how to use x" hullabaloo a shot. Despite moon matter being his best core chip, I like the tachyon chip because his normal sword looks so cool. Fortunately being completely optimal isn't necessary unless you're going for very fast kills 😉
Tachyon is also best if you're going for best overall rather than focusing on one stat.

Corvin is so good. I really wanted to hate him cause of the character designer, but the design is actually pretty dang good too. All round great blade.

Just got back into 2 a few days and decided to do some optimizing for Bringer of Chaos, and I never realized how awesome Corvin is! I ran him on Rex for the smash art forever, but now that I've switched him to Morag he's really proving his worth.

He almost seem a little too broken for my tastes lol. I love the hype that you get when you see an auroboros drive from Ophion and micromanaging to get either a level 4 blade special or chain attack. By far my favorite blades are Pyra/Mythra/pneuma, Perceval, kosmos, and Poppibuster. They just appeal the most to me

Enel I was inspired by your solo Brighid vs Ophion so i recreated it for Corvin by using: Max Affinity attack 4, Reflect immunity, and Jade Orchid Brighid. Also i used a little bit of Mythra for Foresight and Fiora for Warrior Valkyrie and my time is 19:53 on Bringer if Chaos with pictures of proof. I see now why Corvin is a top tier now 😅😅😅, BTW I love your content, i addicted to watching it, and seeing you play SMTV made me so excited that you play more JRGPs and your Xenoblade vids are so funny and useful and educational you inspire me so much and taught me so much😢😊🥺, i may be late to the party with getting Xenoblade 2 this summer 2023 and SMTV for Christmas last year but i love these games to death. Corvin really is a Blade that can do almost anything you want him to. Need an Evasive Tank? He does it better more than any other Blade. Need healing? His Level 1 Special does that. On top of being a powerful attacker that draws Aggro who evades attacks during his specials. There is almost nothing Corvin can’t do.
Wasn't Corvin illustrated by the person who illustrates SAO? I don't know, I never seen it. I think his toolkit is good as is so I wouldn't change it.

Corvin saved me when I did the challenge battles on BoC, I used most of your strats, but when I did a BoC NG+, I didn’t even use him until the chapter 9 boss.
Funny how I played for almost 70 hours (even beat XC1) and never understood driver arts, then I understood how to do them and all I can say is Morag/Tora break ~> Rex Topple ~> Zeke Launch ~> Rex Smash is a game changer.

Corvin is a cool blade in general and he is good personality wise, but his face... the dual swords... it just brings back some memories of a not very okie-dokie character.

I solo’d Elma redux with Mòrag using Corvin Brighid and Perceval about a year ago can’t recall what my equipment was but I did have critical healing and special recharge up pouch items

FUCK YEA A NEW BLADE GUIDE
A super OP blade that has infinite evasion and that is what you need for bringer of chaos difficulty. That is just proof as to how unbalanced that difficulty is. I could barely beat those bee enemies in Mor Ardain for one of the sidequests in BoC difficulty. I can't even imagine how insane a regular new game is with that difficulty setting. Although, you might only be able to play in BoC in NG+. it has been a while since I played this game.
You can start a fresh file on BoC.
You have to be an absolute sadist to seriously want to, but it is possible.
Sorry for reviving this thread, but I once attempted a fresh new game playthrough on Bringer of Chaos.
I gave up once that Aligo Boss in the Ancient Ship with Cursed Cuisine repeatedly brought me close to 0 HP and I couldn't steer the fight into a more positve direction.
(For a NG+ playthrough, I imagine you could just cheese the fight (I mean I guess you kinda have to unless you grind levels) with evasion arts and so on.
I'm not an expert or anything on the game, but beyond that one Cursed Cuisine the Aligo uses right at the beginning, the rest of the fight should be manageable.

Love these blade guide videos. Currently trying to grind out to level 99, and gear so I can grind out legendary crystals for the remaining 10 or so unique blades I still don’t have. Anyone know what’s the best way to get the last 10 or so levels?

Ok, honestly, I'm a total casual, and it's very noticeable lol.
But I at first looked up everyone's Uchigatana arts on a wiki and as soon as I saw 'AOE/Evasion/Smash' on Zeke's Galactic Strike, my face literally went pog and I just had to put Corvin on Zeke.
What I originally just did for the meme actually turned into a proper strategy.

I remember just using Corvin at first cause I really liked his design because he basically looks like Eugeo from SAO, and then later on finding out that:

I never heard of Sword Art Online, but I got this game and the dlc as a gift, and when I got Corvin, I was like "whoa". I actually didn't learn orbs, blade combos, or driver combos till much later in the game because of him lmao.
I heard others call him the Kirito of XenoBlade.

I did use the evasion strat with Elma BoC version but without Corvin. It took me 58 mins to do that. I was pretty much sweating by how close I cut it.

These DLC blades feel like they were balanced around Bringer of Chaos difficulty.
When you get to the Level IV Special, you say that the Driver does physical damage while Corvin does ether damage. However, when I looked at the data mine, it seems to be the other way around. Was this an error or am I misunderstanding the data mine?
