I spent a solid 40 seconds waiting for the classic "Hey everybody, it's Chuggaaconroy!" before realising that this is, in fact, not a Chuggaaconroy video but instead a crossover
Fun fact: Patroka's voice actress, Laila Pyne, also voices Herald and Agate. While I've seen criticism of her performance as Patroka, I rarely see anyone speaking ill of Herald and Agate's vocal performances, and more often see people who like them! Let it be known that her less-than-stellar performance as Patroka is not standard for Laila Pyne, and she voices other characters in XC2 very well! (Also, Patroka is perfecly fine in the heart-to-hearts in my opinion, and it's really just the main story cutscenes where she's not amazing. Which are, of course, the most prominent appearance of Patroka, but. Whatever. I personally think that there were just weird directing choices made for Patroka in the main story cutscenes, and that's the reason for her weird performance- especially since Laila Pyne also voices characters from other games that I love, like Xayah from League of Legends!)
Yeah, iirc they did a blazing fast run of the voice acting for the game to get it out on time and the whole game had pretty mediocre voice direction imo. I think they had more time to refine stuff for ng+ and torna though which is why the voice acting in that content seems better
Voice acting aside, I wish this game would let you view Heart-to-Hearts in Scenario Events like every other AV clip. 😕 They have some of the cutest and most touching moments, such a waste.
@@gaymerjerry if Jin was usable in the base game, he'd be amazing. His skills are kind of ridiculous (although the vanguard switch skill would obviously need to be changed)
Honestly, one thing I don't like about Torna is that Mikhail, Akhos and Patroka (especially these two) spend the entire game being Team Rocket and when they finally explain their backstory they are about to die.

"Anything weak to Earth element will get absolutely destroyed by Patroka" This includes her brother by the way. In _both_ fights. Illusory Bloom is her best Special because she slaps the opponent which actually does damage.

More people are starting to play XC2 because of Smash, so I’m glad these guides are here to provide them with proper tutorials since the game didn’t really seem to get the memo to have them itself. I was one of those lol. I actually got Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Torna: The Golden Country and all other dlc's last summer for my birthday, but didn't touch it till Pyra/Mythra got announced for Super Smash Bros Ultimate. I finished the story before Monster Hunter: Rise came out, and plan to 100% when I'm done with Monster Hunter: Rise. 😁
I like to imagine the thought process in conceptualising Patroka's character went something like this: "Uh oh, looks like Nomura-san accidentally gave us some concept art of a scrapped costume variant for FFVII Remakes' Tifa." "This again?! I can understand the guy's being pulled in all sorts of directions at the moment, but he already presented us with the Cloud x Sephiroth hybrid-clone concept that is Jin." "Well, if this Patroka is gonna be another Square Enix reference, we might as well make her personality similar to a character from a different IP that Squeenie has published..." "In that case, how about this Kainé chic from the niche title Nier? We might have to tone down the profanities a bit, but **shrugs**"

Well, here we are. The end of an era. And what a high note to end on. A word I've used to describe most of the Torna blades is reliable, and I feel that word describes Patroka more than any other. Her damage output is nuts with no bad skills and a great weapon type for damage. She's pretty much a better Adenine and that's absolutely beautiful. Character wise I think Emile best described how I feel about her. Not good. Since we're at the end I feel like listing my three favourite and least favourite blades in descending order of how much I like them: Favourites: Sever, Cressidus, Theory Least favourites: Newt, Electra, Godfrey Thank you so much Enel for providing these videos for us despite the issues you've been going through. I hope for the best for you! Also thank you Chuggaaconroy for playing through my favourite game of all time and helping to introduce this wonderful game to more people.
Patroka is a fantastic blade, bit what I want to know is why the heck her core chip is so much better than the other Torna blades. A lot of blades would kill for a core chip like that.

Now that the Blade Guides are complete, I wonder if there is going to be a revised blade tier list will be happening soon. The process of making those videos seems to be quite a nice learning experience on how lesser-used blades fare in higher level settings. There was also a few (significant) things that were discovered in the making of those videos (Cressidus' lvl 4 topple stack shenanigans, Newt's mistranslated skill, etc.). Either way, this video series was quite a fun ride. Keep it up!

Well I wasn’t expecting Emile here. That is great, been following him since like 2009. He lasted my whole school life from elementary through high school love him to death.
I think now that the blade guide series is done, it might be cool to see guides on each level in challenge mode. I think learning the speed strats or just general guides on how to beat each level in bringer of chaos would be super cool to see.
This has been a really great series to watch! I’m sure you’ve got ideas for where to go next, but one thing I think would be cool/useful as a “guide” would maybe be videos on optimal team setups for challenge mode missions or specific areas of combat?

Did not expect to see chuggaaconroy collab on this finale! That was a surprise. This series was excellent, you did a great job on these videos. I forget if you got asked, but are you planning on re-doing any Torna guides? I've noticed compared to the main game Torna seems not focused on as much.

Emile in the intro threw me off so bad lol. Definitely had to double check what video I was watching. Hell of a series. I also want to acknowledge how you wrote all of these guides to be able to be watched independently. Which sounds obvious, but small things like mentioning in every video that L4 specials freeze combo timers and make you invincible. Or why certain accessories are really good. How easy would it have been to assume we knew that and skip that information? But you made each guide accessible to anyone, which is super cool

She is the *last* blade I need. I have been working day and night to boost Nia’s compassion. I have used compassion boosters. I have used all of this, PLUS legendary core crystals. I hate her for this, but I know as soon as I get her, I will be jumping for joy.
If anyone is in trouble with Elma: Redux, try Corvin on Mòrag and KOS-MOS on Zeke, with both ether modifier blades, and Rex with Mythra and Patroka, that equals victory assured.
Tl;dw The worst thing about Patroka is her level 2 special. Thanks for providing these guides for us, Enel! They really help people get into Xenoblade and understand its mechanics. I know they helped me!

I did not expect Chuggaaconroy to be in this video, I was pleasantly surprised by that. I did not find Patroka's character, though her toolset is great, especially Fatal Blow and Swallow's Flight. If I were to improve her in any way, Great Garland would gain an additional 2 hits to make it more useful. @Enel I know this is the end of the blade showcase you have got going on and I am a bit sad about that. I am curious if you are going to a guide for the team in Torna: The Golden Country?
Enel, can you please cover the different common blades, I'd like to see all their different specials/damage ratios plus what king of interesting combination of abilities you can get to optimize them. It's fine if you can't be bothered to bust open enough core crystals to get the perfect common tho.
