I have no particular reason for learning Arabic I just find it so beautiful but, I got really interested in the Egyptian Arabic dialect
Also if I was to learn Egyptian Arabic and i go to a country where they wouldn’t speak Egyptian would they understand me?
Would Arabs understand me if I speak MSA?
@@WhatIFWonders-F ok I guess what you mean by MSA is the slang language or the informal arabic so to speak right?
If so the the answer to your other questions is yes but not most of the time.
Because its not the same MSA in all arabian countries, for example me as an egyptian I find it extreamly hard to understand the Moroccian MSA etc..
But if you're asking whether people from other arabian countries would understand egyptian MSA? The answer is maybe (it depends)

At first I was uncomfortable, but then I realize they were just trying their best to speak to me with the few phrases that they knew
So I'm a Egyptian and I speak English very well and I am only 12 years old. So in some schools in Egypt they don't teach students english that good because these schools poor people enter it

Sneha Arvind Egyptian Arabic is same like the arabic fusha but different words and accent but Egyptian Arabic very easy to understand Egyptian Arabic is more popular like in movies most of it in Egyptian Arabic btw we Egyptians understand so there is no confusion I’m from Egypt 🇪🇬

Egypt Dialect is the most widely understood Arabic in the Arab world. Why?
Cuz most movies and soap opera are in Egyptian dialect. A bit like bollywood is in Hindi dialect I think. So, all Indians or south Asians understand it.

I learned Egyptian Arabic in the Army and was fluent. As an American traveling in Arabic-speaking countries I often had to repeat myself in Arabic, not because what I said was unclear, but the locals just couldn't believe it was coming from a European-background American.
I get the same reaction in Barcelona when I speak Catalan though obv I could never upstage you. Catalan is a very easy language and Arabic seems pretty mind-blowing so well done.

@@MR.73 they teach every language u could imagine. for such a big country its important for intelligent reasons i assume. they also learn about coultures and customs,,,, how otherwise could u understand the meaning of what someone is saying…. and maybe it have another meaning in a specific context, and so on 😀

Just ask them to speak slowly and use common/easy words.. Middle eastern dialects are all very similar.
You could also speak in standard Arabic and ask them to do the same!!

Yeah, I was working on a offshore vessel in the gulf of suez. We had some egyptians onboard doing preassure testing of pipes on the sea bed. All of them spoke mostly good English.
However some welders we had onboard didnt know anything. They thaught me some words in arabic tho so I could help them out finding their way.
