    This is so incredible to see as an Arab speaker whose first language is English. Me and my dad look Arab through and through, we never catch people off guard. My mum however is from a place in Lebanon with caucasian people, and she catches Arabs talking behind her back all the time and they get so caught of guard that a white blonde women with blue eyes speaks better arabic than them. Its the same thing with my dad when we go to Croatia, he initially talks to them in English and then catches them off-guard in Croatian, I mean an arabic guy speaking Croatian has to be incredibly rare surely! Your Arabic seems impressive.. With that being said, I grew up the metro Detroit, Michigan region, which has the most Arabic/Middle Eastern population outside of the Middle East. (I'm actually from *The city Dearborn itself which is Arabic central). Most people have the impression of what Arabs look like, but they have a variety of looks. Many Lebanese/Syrians/Palestinians are almost indistinguishable from your everyday white person. (Only if one looks like they have slight sharper features with deeper set eyes). With those individuals sometimes you can only tell if they open up their mouths, and if they're very Americanized... be surprised lol. Most of the Middle East in the greater broad general sense are Caucasoids/a branch of Caucasians... On the other spectrum, I've met some Yemenis and Omanis who look like they might be mixed Sub-Saharan Africans.
    So my point is there are some Arabs (not even rare), who identify as much, who do have your very light European phenotypes lol.

      Yes, there are definitely Arabs that look very Caucasian. 😁 Though brown/blond hair and blue/green eyes is much less common for sure.

    • @abuasher
      @abuasher  11 месяцев назад

      It depends if you want to learn a spoken dialect or written Arabic. They are quite different, but written can be learned at any university or through many online courses. Dialects though would be better to learn either in the country of the dialect or with a personal tutor.

    Ya Abu Asher, I've been having a problem with my Arabic. I have no one to speak with, and I'm unconfident about my vocabulary. 1. Should I just try to speak with people at the Masjid, or in public, or should I ask a friend? 2. How do I know that I have enough vocab to be able to speak?
    BarakAllah

      @@abuasher for only one year MashAllah you seem to be pretty fluent. How did you learn? Did you take a formal class and focus on vocab/grammar? Or was it more of a informal class. Did you go to a proper markaz?
