Fall Tour of the Smoky Mountains in the 911

- Fellow RUclipsr @JAYREAD and I organized a second trip to the Smoky Mountains this October to get together with some like minded Porsche nuts for a long weekend of driving around the region's many spectacular views and challenging roads. For those who couldn't make it and for those simply interested in following a few Porsche nuts on their quest to slay the (tail of the) Dragon, tune in and enjoy!

So Glad you could make the Tail Of The Dragon! . I didn't make it. Health Probs ! However, I can, while you are in our area, lead you thru "The Little Tail Of The Dragon" here in North Georgia.. If you can spend one more day. You will love every minute of it! I promise !You guys are welcome to stay at my house and love some old outdoors simple living. You guys are SO welcome to come to my home ! I would be honored to have you guys at my home.

Excellent video, James! I would love to join you guys on this trip if not fall 2022, then 2023 for sure. Maybe I could meet up with Alberto on I80 (I'm in Fort Collins, Co.) and then we could meet you somewhere on I80 or I70 en route. Bucket list trip for sure!

@@AutoAmateur Jay and James, well, this does sound intriguing! I would be up for both trips perhaps. If there is anything I can do to help you on my end, I'm happy to do so. I'm not much of a "party planner" but will do what I can. One comment...you said "spring 2022" for a rocky mountain trip - Most high passes (Independance, Trail Ridge Road, Mt. Evans, Pikes Peak, etc.) here are typically snowed in until after Memorial day, which might make for more of a "summer 2022" trip! Not sure what you have planned but I had to throw that out there. You both have my email, so let me know if I can help!

being a 997 driver myself....still surpised not to see any G-models or even F-models...ist that because they group up themselves as aircooled or is ist just the power gapp to 996/997/991?
Just the luck the of the draw this time! We had a larger combination of 911s last time, for some reason we just had the water-cooled this time!
