Rocky Mountains Up & Down Tour with a group of 911s (991, 997, 996, 993)

- This has been a tough video to make, not simply because of the sheer volume of content I took during this five day trip around the Rockies, but because while I was away I got word that my step-father, Anthony, suddenly passed away. What made this video particularly special for me was that just 2 months prior to leaving on this trip with my friends, my mum and Anthony were visiting us in the US and we did almost this identical trip together in my truck. It was one of the best experiences we had together as a family - the open road, the scenery, no schedule to keep and days upon days of time to talk and laugh together.
RIP Anthony Doyle of Birkenhead, UK. 1948 - 2022. You were an incredible man, father figure and husband to my mum, your wife, Lyn. Thank you for loving her and being her rock for the last nearly 25 years. Thank you for all the support, love and guidance you gave me throughout the years. You are missed and will be forever in our hearts.

So glad to see you back on YT, James. Sorry I missed you on the trip. I wanted to make it. My dog, Annie, just passed this week on Wed. night. She kept me home-bound for the last several months and is the reason I could not attend. I'm sorry for the loss of your wife's dad. Every now and then, life sucks! -Tom.
James, missed you for Pikes Peak and more Rocky Mountain driving, hope you’re able to make it back in the future. Independence Pass in July is nothing short of breathtaking as you make your way into Aspen from the south. My condolences on your loss, god speed.

Great to see you again buddy. So sorry for your loss. Your step dad will be incredibly proud of you. I had some terrible news today as well. My best friend lost his son who drowned on holiday. We are absolutely devasted as he was only 4 and loved playing with my son cameron.
Oh man, that’s awful, what a tragedy. I’m so sorry to hear that news. I’ll be giving my kids extra kisses at bedtime. Cheers. 🙌♥️

Is the road noise that bad in the 911’s? My cayman and panamera were not that noisy..
Oh yes. The cabin noise was reduced somewhat in the 997 and I think they got it right with the 991. The 996 is pretty raw and loud from that perspective.
