I actually love this movie. Sure it has its flaws but it’s an enjoyable movie. Plus the fight scenes aren’t bad. The first fight however was probably one of the better fights I’ve seen in movies.
The plot is so dumb but I was hoping there would be a twist with him basically causing the alien to get loose when they went to Russia and that being the reason he became depressed and left his family. They didn’t set him up to be the guy that behaved the way his daughter said he did. They didn’t show a dark side but him being upset for 1 minute for not getting a job he wanted, like anybody would be. Plus the whole sending people back to just die makes no fn sense. Just send everybody from the future to the past and figure out how to stop them before they show up.
In the original timeline he loses his advancement opportunity, gets depressed and becomes a jerk to his family and that is what causes his downfall and probably had something to do with the accident that killed him. By being pulled into the war, he doesn't go down that path.
U can’t be alive go back in time and then exist within the same time as u being born. That’s why when they are going to the future the black guy explains to Pratts character that the reason the ppl are so young is because they have not been born yet. 😊
This movie had me going back in forth the whole time. One second I thought the vfx were great action was fun but then the time travel just didn’t make sense? He was so worried about his future daughter dying but like… if you go back and save the world your daughter won’t die right? If we’re saying this is all a loop type time travel? Idk. Seems like they didn’t know what direction they wanted to go.
All of those are the good points of the movies. The only problem is the plot doesnt make sense or makes the future people stupid. The future people were fighting a war they already loss. The future people should have time travelled to the past and asked the past to Preapare for the upcoming war to defeat the Aliens than sending Civilians to die on a loosing war.
Yeah tbh if you dive into the whole plot and story or whatever it's not gonna be winning any awards but I mean, I enjoyed it. It made me laugh more than most comedy movies now a days and the action well, wasn't eye-popping but their were some scenes that you know, were like, wow that looks cool. Nothing crazy but overall, sat down and watched it all
Wish they explored the "aftermath" more. Alien movies are a dime a dozen, but what happens after we win? My interpretation was that timelines A and B are independent, so what happens now that 70 percent of draftees die? What happened to those from B now stranded in A? Good popcorn movie, but I would have really liked a new spin on "alien war."
I understood it as the draftees were never in the future to begin with because they all died and that’s the reason they were accepted in the first place.
Timeline A & B has to be independent otherwise the everything would be the same (everyone dies, Aliens win). So since now A B are two different timelines then it’s not a simple time travel anymore, Chris was literally jumping from A to a different parallel universe B and time travelled at the same time, then the question should be where is The original Chris in the new universe B?
The logic honestly didn't make sense as soon as the people from the future wanted ones from the past to fight a war they are already losing. The first half was just more cohesive. In the second half, it seemed like they just had some plot points they wanted to get to and they were going to do it without caring about cohesion.

Unpopular opinion: Chris Pratt is like a modern day Arnold Schwarzenegger. Is only typecast in big budget action flicks because he can't act in anything too serious.
I mean, I can agree with you that he's typecast into a lot of stuff because he's a big celebrity, but my man can really act. Stuff like passengers, the lego movie, and guardians of the galaxy have proven that he can be a good actor. I thought there were some bits of dullness in his performance in this movie, but I also think there were some pretty good bits as well. Arnold was casted for his physical prowess and cool ass accent, and was one of the biggest names in action throughout the 80s. Sure he couldn't act very well, but I think that that was sort of the point with some of his movies. Things like preditor, commando, and terminator didn't really require anything to special acting wise because that's not what he was. He was the badass, carrying guns, saying 1 liners, and overall looking fantastic doing it. These movies made him a target for satire and he overall became more of a novelty than anything else. IMO Outside of both being well known faces that will bring in money because everyone knows them, they are 2 different actors from 2 different actors from 2 different generations.
@@Faustaine The movies writing was objectively terrible. Chris Pratts charming self and CGI carried this movie 100000%. You simple minded movie watchers don't understand that if it was a random actor with not so fancy action scenes, you most likely would be right here with us saying how bad it is. The movies writing was about as bad as movies can get..
I LOVED this movie, im sad so many people think it's bad. It could have been way worse imo. This is a movie about time travel and aliens, it isn't going to be perfect. For God sakes Godzilla vs Kong had more plot holes and people still enjoyed it. Do the same thing with that movie and turn your brain off. Chris Pratt boxes an alien - that's badass. He kills the female with one of its own kinds claw - that's badass. Sam Richardson (chubby black guy [comic relief]) kills a white claw with a saw - that's badass. The visuals were all amazing, the stunt work was great too. Dorian (other black guy) literally was going to die regardless, but he decided to go out the way he wanted - in a spectacular display of pyrotechnics. All these comments sound like they wanted this movie to be boring. Its so sad that people want every movie to be perfect, no movie is perfect. Not Avengers: Endgame, not Back to the Future...nothing, nada, zilch. I rarely write this much, but I just hate when creators make videos like this, telling people what to think, instead of telling them to watch it themselves. Of course, this is just my opinion, LMK if you think I'm wrong.
You know, I actually enjoyed this movie a lot. It is not rocket science to turn off your brain and just enjoy it. I will say that it is like three movies in one and the logic is almost non-existent. It was fun and I think we ended up watching it two more times after it premiered. The only other movie we have enjoyed was Run, Hide, Fight which turned out to be surprisingly good.
I enjoyed the movie, but one obvious suggestion might have been to ask, “why are you giving me a rapid fire low caliber gun, when it’s obvious that I need a high caliber slower rate of fire weapon.” Complete mismatch of foe and ordinance. Give them 50 caliber, armor piercing incendiary rounds and the humans win. Their weapons lacked enough knock down power and required them to put too many rounds on target.
On the topic of JK Simmons, if we speculate he was born in ‘53 (Simmons was born in ‘55) it would make him eligible for combat in Vietnam during our time over there. He would have been young of course, but so were so many that lost their lives in that green Hell.
I love this movie. I’ve watched it like 5 times now. I love how we get to see the aliens. Those movies with people running around shooting invisible aliens or a dark mist is annoying. Movies don’t do aliens justice anymore. They don’t show you actual aliens and we’ve got serious cgi now. Why aren’t there any aliens in alien movies? I love how The Tomorrow War actually shows us the creatures. I also like the relationship between Pratt and his daughter. She basically did what he wanted to do, something important with his life. And then she gave his life meaning with the toxin and saving the world. I watch the movie for entertainment. Movies are made to entertain and it’s very entertaining. Alien movies are not meant for deep thought provoking life changing questions and answers. It’s basic survival and that’s what makes any alien movie a good movie.
Right, but it took them what? Two minutes to figure it? I don't see why nobody else could, they didn't capture anything falling from the sky, so nobody could had thought that maybe they came from the ground? C'mon
If you look at the film as a bombastic action film with a story about climate and family rather than an almost alien horror film or a war flick, then this movie is great. I really loved how Chris Pratt just rams Spikes with cars, charges them with sharp objects, and just tell an alien to die. It’s so dumb but so cool, it’s almost funny. 9/10
So simply put, the terminator goes back in time not to kill Sarah Conner, but to gather computers and tech gear from the 80s to take to the future to fight in the war.
Yeah, the most unbelievable part of this movie was that they were having a World Cup Viewing Party. Competition Kickball is a fourth-tier sport at best in the United States.
I'm not American and it felt weird to me too. I even thought maybe it's just the family that enjoys soccer and they had a party but still wanted to keep an eye on the score. Until the part where people at the party seemed to be excited by the possibility of a goal
I liked the first half the everyday civilians getting thrown into a war zone, the spec guy try keep everyone alive but he’s not use to this battlefield, 3 tour badass and his team, and the aliens introduction. Then they kind of threw everything out the window when Chris Pratt came back. Decent movie
@@whatNtarnation90 Nah man, this movie was the best action film since edge of tomorrow, and imo they’re pretty even. Edge of tomorrow’s scifi concepts are cooler but don’t make as much sense, edge of tomorrow’s creatures are more unique but the choreography and animation isn’t as good, both movies have a driving relationship sideplot that does exactly what it has to, etc. Edge of tomorrow definitely has more unique concepts, because it’s more of a sci-fi movie than tomorrow war is, but there’s nothing wrong with a trope told with new personality. And beyond that, Tomorrow Wars choreography is some of the best in the last 5 years, and it has FOUR major set pieces to flex it. Good flick.
@@WhiteKnuckleRide512 agreed while edge of tomorrow is cooler , it ultimately takes itself too serious and struggles in some parts. This movie doesn’t take itself as serious and that’s perfectly fine .
My two biggest problems with the movie were the fact that the toxin wasn't really needed, just the location because at that stage there weren't a lot of the aliens and a well placed bomb would've worked, my second problem was that scene where his daughter is pouring her heart out to him on the beach and chris pratts face is so emotionless that you'd think he was waiting in line at a store

Pratt and the daughter (present and future) is what makes this movie wayy better than generic alien invasion flick.
Chris Pratt is completely trolling us at the end lol
Just posted 3 minutes ago? Notification squad!
Unpopular opinion: Chris Pratt is like a modern day Arnold Schwarzenegger. Is only typecast in big budget action flicks because he can't act in anything too serious.
Nah he’s got great comedic range
Nah that award goes to Vin Diesel
Even though the movie had many plot holes, I enjoyed it. brain off movie hat on.
"Chuck that apology in the ocean".. i liked that reference :)
Sorry first time I'm disagreeing with you LME. This is my new favorite"turn my brain off action movie" and was mind blown by the monsters till the end
Second time for me. But this movie was fun. Schwarzenegger goes 1v1 with the predator just like in this movie so what's the big deal
I enjoyed it. Great movie with superlative dialogue.
This was the BEST MOVIE I watched in last few years!
I have not watched this yet. I can wait.
This movie was crazy, weird, and absolutely positively the most up and down movie I have ever seen..... I love it
I personally think this movie is good until the last 20 minutes
I dont the last 20 mins is bad, it just goes on too long
So, it's like Hobb and Shaw where it felt too long.
It was trash I regret watching it

@@Faustaine The movies writing was objectively terrible. Chris Pratts charming self and CGI carried this movie 100000%. You simple minded movie watchers don't understand that if it was a random actor with not so fancy action scenes, you most likely would be right here with us saying how bad it is. The movies writing was about as bad as movies can get..
LME IS GETTING BETTER
YEP
I’m only 6mins late? 😮 YES!!! Right on time☺️
I actually enjoyed it thoroughly, it’s a sci fi action movie. Not supposed to be mind boggling
Bro, he told it to die, what more do you want?! 😂 absolutely loved how dumb this movie was!
“Chef boy if you don’t change” 💀💀💀💀💀
Great content and I agree that Evans is still the best Chris 👍🏻
That final clip 😂🤣💀 and ya, he is the best Chris
Awesome recap 💪💯👍
“Maintain humanity under 500 million in perpetual balance with nature”
Is what it sounds like
On the topic of JK Simmons, if we speculate he was born in ‘53 (Simmons was born in ‘55) it would make him eligible for combat in Vietnam during our time over there. He would have been young of course, but so were so many that lost their lives in that green Hell.
The aliens are ripped off from the storm light archive by Brandon Sanderson
Got that Chuck joke 4:58 haha
“This wasn’t room raiders” 😂
How would they check out the spot when no one knew it was there. They still thought the aliens came from space.
Right, I keep saying that!! Lol
Right, but it took them what? Two minutes to figure it? I don't see why nobody else could, they didn't capture anything falling from the sky, so nobody could had thought that maybe they came from the ground? C'mon
This movie reminds me of Edge of Tomorrow in a sense
If you look at the film as a bombastic action film with a story about climate and family rather than an almost alien horror film or a war flick, then this movie is great. I really loved how Chris Pratt just rams Spikes with cars, charges them with sharp objects, and just tell an alien to die. It’s so dumb but so cool, it’s almost funny.
9/10
“Just tickle him”😂😂😂
So simply put, the terminator goes back in time not to kill Sarah Conner, but to gather computers and tech gear from the 80s to take to the future to fight in the war.
XD
I liked the first half the everyday civilians getting thrown into a war zone, the spec guy try keep everyone alive but he’s not use to this battlefield, 3 tour badass and his team, and the aliens introduction. Then they kind of threw everything out the window when Chris Pratt came back. Decent movie
The only explaining to do is why wasn't this movie a coming soon-straight to DVD
This is the earliest i’ve ever been
2:29 just noticed this guy is wearing a Black Rifle Coffee t-shirt.
Aliens: You can't do that it's unfair
Humans: Haha car go bonk
6:10
Good movie brotha... 8/10!
When you realize The tomorrow war is just Edge of tomorrow but worse
That's a sequel well needed
How dare you even put those 2 movies in the same sentence. This movie was an abomination.
That's the movie I was thinking for so long thx
I liked the movie, but I wish we had seen more monsters in the open doing their own thing… I.e more action scenes but with them on full screen
They Filmed in Atlanta and maybe in my high school Lakeside High School so yeah in 2020
That ending was funny asf! 😄
I actually really liked this movie
Escape Room 2 is coming up, are you going to do a LME on that?
This is actually really good
The chef outfit can be explained. He is not a chef, but they tell them so little, he was hoping they would put him on kitchen duty instead of combat
So basically Chris Patt suppose to be the new Time Cruise then? He reinvents the same character and I'm here for it! 😊
You know I really really liked this movie, the whole apex predator that can swim fly and run and shoots spikes made the whole movie better. It showed how much time and effort they put into the spikes and they did a fantastic job showing it. It made me really think k what if we had something like this happen one day, we would be wiped off the earth completely
