That kings power bar at the very start from Kamakaze is mad with additional context. The king power stadium is the home stadium (turf) of Leicester City football team (where he’s from). For some added trivia he was also a football player at the semi pro level
That's dope I didn't know man had so many talents . That bar is even crazier with the context. I would've never guessed that as I know nil when it comes to football.
Mez is one of the hypests MC you'll see at set, its like the d-dobule e of new era (not comparing interms status but in energy wise, hes very much a rave MC) when i saw him live he got mad reloads trust
I enjoy watching you learn about the culture... to me, classic GRIME lyrics are like a wrestler's special move... If I see Stone Cold whoop some ass I need to see the 'Stunner'... if I pay to see The Rock, the 'People's Elbow' is a must, just like if I see Skepta and I don't hear 'go on then, go on then... draw for...' I'm pissed. Or seeing D Double E and not hearing 'Buda-bup-bup...' It's like Ryu and Ken's Haduken...
This is a great analogy. I really enjoy learning the culture and overtime its just adding to my skillset of music I can work with. Prior to this If I don't catch a good pocket id never know how to approach a grime beat. Now I kind of understand and have better writing sessions due to this. its really like music school when I first learned to write and was studying Big L and the masters from my side.
this is a classiccc, would love to see you more of any of these man. Mind the Gap (which this clash was to promote) Was an album which most of these man collabed on
I love the way you appreciate UK music without completely understanding what they’re saying because even me as someone who has lived in the U.K. all my life sometimes struggle understand such fast flows. And that’s not to say the music is bad at all.
Yea you gotta give things it space. Especially if I’m learning I can’t be so riding that I don’t try to internalize what the natives think that makes this stuff so great. It’s a fun process and as an artist it’s like learning new skills
Man didn't just spit wit Dave man held his own and carried his city. Big up to the man. Ty for rocking with the boy. More coming soon. You gotta put me on to more dons from the city so we can showcase them like the rest.
Yh Dave uses the ‘Walk in the rave’ set up in No Words with Mostack, Thiago Silva with AJ and on a grime freestyle with DJ Semtex (which would be nice to check out I think)
I couldn't place it exactly but I knew I heard them bars. I'm like I really been listening to man for time before these reactions, so when I heard those I'm like damn that's how long these bars survived before getting laid on record for real.
It’s not the same bars , he’s using the same flow but with different words. Uk rappers do that for nostalgia. They know people recognise the flow but they switch it up with new lyrics to hype everyone up
You’ve actually reacted to everything wth 😭 I never knew you’d seen this Great vid tho and I’m with you on the rankings, except I rate Mez’s second verse highly, gives me that D Double feel

@@Jurnalist_ Yeah that set is cold but it takes a while to warm up and you won't like the beats at the start, has a few low points, but the high points towards the middle/end more make up for it. Maxsta, Jammz, Manga all kill it.

He's still a footballer and he was professional not semi

Pretty sure he's the first (only?) person to be in Fifa as both a player and on the soundtrack
