Finding a lasting natural green in cold process soap

  • Throughout the journey of delivering this custom soap order we have learnt so much about natural colourants. Often it’s tricky to find lasting greens and purple in natural colours that survive saponification and hold without fading. Our solution was to heed the experience of The Sussex Soap co. and combine stable colourants to achieve the unicorns 😊 In this video I combine Indigo + Annatto Seed oil infusions to achieve a gorgeous forest green.

    Beautiful! Sorry it took me a week or so to get the time to watch these two colour videos. I think this green turned out the best, it's really nice and suits the Australian scent too. :) Holly from soap addicts x

      Thanks 😊 I think I will definitely do a follow up to the video as I went back to look at the ‘baby poo’ yellow green I had and was surprised by the lovely blue/green soap I saw in its place 😃 Indigo is such a fascinating colourant ❤️
