Nice find especially it being a SI . that hood will go good on ur b16 swapped crx . And definitely will be nice to restore. Just grind down the quarter panels and see how bad they are to determine if it’s even worth all the work .its a potentially good candidate for a k-swap 😃
Man I'm very excited to see you save this thing! It definitely doesn't look like it's gunna be easy but if you take your time it will come out looking mint. Your attention to detail will make it shine man 👌
The exterior of that car is better than mine all in all its complete. The scene is prettu big in San Diego that would easily sell for 2k minimum you are lucky to have that
For 600 you got a good deal regardless. You can for sure make your money back off parts. However if you do restore this one I will be watching. I have a crx that I discovered some major bondo body repairs that I am going to try to replace in the quarter panels with patch panels and rockers. Love the videos man. On a side note I am videographer for a tv station and your video quality is great keep up the good work.
Just found your channel, just subscribed also this is the first video i’m watching and about to binge watch every single video one after the other with a ice cold bottle of corona 👌🏻👍🏻💪🏻🇬🇧
That's kind of what I am thinking. It'd be a nice "daily driver" CRX versus so clean you don't want to drive it. And that's easier to do than a total restoration.
I have the entire rear CRX panels BNIB. Cargo cover, rear cargo separator, rear box. Also have a BNIB sunroof panel, console, climate control and floor mats. Also have 2x NIB armrests
DUDE I think U made a great purchase with that CRX😎😎😎 I'm kinda restoring a 91 CRX Si. I need AC parts among other parts but AT the moment AC stuff to prepare IT for summer???😎😎😎😎😎
I'd say do some restoration on the parts that are salvageable. Keep what you can for your current or future builds but throw the rest on ebay. You can probably recoup your $600 back by doing so and use the chassis as a race car build!!
Most of my old cars are just full interior daily driver status, but with this particular car, I can definitely see the appeal of making it more race car status due to the condition of the interior. I'll definitely have to consider that route.
I say you should fix it up but if you decide to part it out can I buy the sunroof!? I have a 89 crx si and I’ve been looking for a sunroof FOREVER and I cannot find one
The car being in that rough of shape. I would just have fun with it. Make it a budget racer or just mix it up. Full interior half race. No carpet, Painted floor no roof lining. Just indoor plastics
I'm most likely in the minority, but with it being pretty rough I think gutting it and turning it into a fun autox/track-day car with an NA B-Series would be a lot of fun. Everyone loves screaming ITB's.
I think finished your other Crx first and then you have plenty of time to think 🤔 If you decided to restore it , finding another donor car will save you money and time. But searching for each part needed might be the biggest change.
Do you know if there's anywhere I could find Front Seat cushions .to restore my seats also need a driver side Seat pan it's a 89 si hatchback. And yes always save a ef when you can
Just found your channel I have a CRX Si 1989 need some help on restoring it.Just wondering do you work on customers cars I am in Arkansas could drive it up there to let you check it out
@@crxseth Oh yes no rears in my hatch so i can constantly keep an eye on mine due to our bad weather here in the UK, Only swerved off the roads from checking twice..
@@crxseth mine are cracked all over, and have two chunks missing. I pulled them apart cleaned the mold and resprayed silver, but the outside is pretty toast. I more so wanted to tinker with which ever is worst off and make a repair process for these using tinted epoxy
I plan to use the hood for my other black '88, but there isn't a lot else I can use on the current CRX's, as they are intact. That's why I thought this car could be the new build.
So sick that you are restoring these badass cars to their prime!
Nice find especially it being a SI . that hood will go good on ur b16 swapped crx . And definitely will be nice to restore. Just grind down the quarter panels and see how bad they are to determine if it’s even worth all the work .its a potentially good candidate for a k-swap 😃
Oh goodness. Its really rough but I have faith you'll get it back to it's former glory 👍
2021 plans watch this beauty get built 👍😁🤘
Man I'm very excited to see you save this thing! It definitely doesn't look like it's gunna be easy but if you take your time it will come out looking mint. Your attention to detail will make it shine man 👌
I hope so!
Save all the EF's

Came here from the owners group on fb and I'm excited to see where this goes. You got a good good deal at 600 man.
Just picked up a 88 si shell and now I found your channel. Awsomeee, great content
The exterior of that car is better than mine all in all its complete. The scene is prettu big in San Diego that would easily sell for 2k minimum you are lucky to have that
I would restore it definitely. Especially as it was only 600 to buy. They are really expensive here in the uk. 😎👍🔰
The prices in the US have such a wide range. From $200 to $18,000.
Can't wait to this get restored
Good pick up! You paid a good price too. Restore it and keep it they are rare cars really hard to find.
Wow! You have your work cut out for you. Good luck and have fun!
Bring it back to life 😎
Great buy!
Definitely restore it it's worth saving
Good find 👏
Just got my crx almost a week ago and man I love it already !
Such neat little cars idk how it has so much room inside but looks tiny 🤣
Nice work 👍 😍
Good luck on this one Seth!
Thanks! I’ll definitely need it!
Solid find for 6 hundo

Well hoping to see an update on this crx when the silver one is fully completed with the sunroof assembly, great videos as always
Man I'd love to see you do a complete reator on this ol girl ... save her 💯
it's a deal. good job
Great purchase. It's a CRX.
In a few years these will be neat impossible to find.
11:40 we all been there working and Pop you wake up in the engine bay/trunk Thankfully yours didn't fall hard enough to knock you smooth out lol

Thanks for joining!
Looks like a Greddy exhaust, or at least the tip. I used to have a a Greddy on my 89 Si. Car looks save able to me
Unfortunately, it's not a Greddy exhaust. I think it's just a muffler shop special.
Brady here from IG (GE_Builds, GEHonda), just subscribed to the channel. Keep up the great work Seth!
Thanks for joining!
Deff keep it and save it but it don’t gotta be super perfect just bring it back to life
That's kind of what I am thinking. It'd be a nice "daily driver" CRX versus so clean you don't want to drive it. And that's easier to do than a total restoration.

Haha I new it on the post you had the other day new build
Great buy can’t wait see it done.
Keep them alive I am redoing 3😂...GL
DUDE I think U made a great purchase with that CRX😎😎😎 I'm kinda restoring a 91 CRX Si. I need AC parts among other parts but AT the moment AC stuff to prepare IT for summer???😎😎😎😎😎
Restoration is really a question of the structural integrity if it's good move forward. If not keep hood and make a few parting
This one is rough but I see the potential with a lot and I mean a lot of work. I say k swap it and turn it into some sort of track car
I know it can be done, but I need a decent amount of interior parts. The exterior is workable.
That hood for the black crx ufff, i think you can have the car for parts or project with deleted seat and put other motor
Well I would keep the hood for your black crx . But it don't seem that bad it can look good again. Let's see what you can do Seth .
I definitely plan to use the hood for my other car.
I mean if you have most of the spare parts is not that difficult, but you can be in touch with crx owners they can provide you some
PART OUT! sold my CRX yesterday and bought a turbo kit with the money.
Please keep it and do something with it for the future
I think if you just gut it and paint it I think you get it least double your money and keep the spare parts that are salvageable for yourself
I'm in Ohio! That hood alone is worth 600. As long as it's zc or b16.
If it was mine I would restore .getting rare to find one since they have run out of pintos at the dirt track.
I say you should fix it up but if you decide to part it out can I buy the sunroof!? I have a 89 crx si and I’ve been looking for a sunroof FOREVER and I cannot find one
In europe that car would cost probably 2k euros and be rustier but better interior, please save it no question
Only 7 in the whole country left, I need to get my license faster lmao
@@hondacrx4909 thats sad AF, what country if i may ask? im in finland
That rex needs to be taken apart fully and down to the metal !
yeaahh Im the 250th like lol koo video bro!
Remember these cars were not expensive when new?
I just clicked the video to tell not to part it out but to build it.
The car being in that rough of shape. I would just have fun with it. Make it a budget racer or just mix it up. Full interior half race. No carpet, Painted floor no roof lining. Just indoor plastics
I got my crx for free all it needed was a computer and hood and still missing some interior but a pretty solid car so far
Make it a race car strip it and save the good parts for another crx worth saving
I'm most likely in the minority, but with it being pretty rough I think gutting it and turning it into a fun autox/track-day car with an NA B-Series would be a lot of fun. Everyone loves screaming ITB's.
Build it!!
0:57 It's so weird seeing stock 240..and a vert at that!
I think finished your other Crx first and then you have plenty of time to think 🤔 If you decided to restore it , finding another donor car will save you money and time. But searching for each part needed might be the biggest change.
Sorry biggest challenge, this iPhone auto type is crazy 🙂lol
I agree. I am going to let this hang out until I get the other one done, then I’ll focus on it. But I’m always looking for parts. :)
Do you know if there's anywhere I could find Front Seat cushions .to restore my seats also need a driver side Seat pan it's a 89 si hatchback. And yes always save a ef when you can
I honestly do not know. Junk yard? Or a guy named Mat Duba on Facebook may have them.
What camera and lens are you using? So sharp and wide!
Canon 6D with a Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 lens, but I also use a couple other lenses. Sigma 35mm f/1.4, and Sigma 85mm f/1.4
Just found your channel I have a CRX Si 1989 need some help on restoring it.Just wondering do you work on customers cars I am in Arkansas could drive it up there to let you check it out
I do not. Unfortunately, I barely have time to work on my own cars!
Ok I’m looking for a intake hose for my crx Si . Trying to use factory airbox. Do you have one you’re willing to sell?
I will have to check when I get back in the garage.
How much for the front bumper and front signal lights? If you part out? Thanks from Nashville!
I will sell the front bumper as it’s got damage, but I will keep the bumper lights. I may sell the corner lights.
@@crxseth what's the damage? Mine was backed into at work and the whole center of the bumper shattered.
Nevermind just watched the video lol.
Time to make a race car. Gut it, cage it and k swap turbo.
Is that bump on the driver side of the hood oem ? Never seen this before
Ah hmm I see now zc hood garage is full to ha 😁
Sell what you can and put it into the EG project!
Definitely deserves a second chance but i would remove the rear plastics and check the rear arches
I planned to remove most everything and clean it anyway, so that’d be a good time to check.
@@crxseth Oh yes no rears in my hatch so i can constantly keep an eye on mine due to our bad weather here in the UK, Only swerved off the roads from checking twice..
How hard is it to restore it to being road legal?
Road legal versus looking good? Probably get it back on the road for a few hundred dollars.
@@crxseth nice! Because I’ve been thinking of picking up a civic coupe 96-00 from the junkyard and restoring it
That intro....
600 bucks for a crx?
Man I should really move to the US
Would you sell the rearlights, if you get new ones.
Yes, but they aren’t in good condition.
@@crxseth mine are cracked all over, and have two chunks missing. I pulled them apart cleaned the mold and resprayed silver, but the outside is pretty toast. I more so wanted to tinker with which ever is worst off and make a repair process for these using tinted epoxy
Well, once I get to that point, I’ll have these available. Not sure when it will be. After I sell the silver car and start on this one.
@@crxseth lol but three CR-Xs isn't enough though! 😂
👍
Good purchase but it might be too much to rebuild it. Might be better to just tear it down and keep the parts for your current builds
I plan to use the hood for my other black '88, but there isn't a lot else I can use on the current CRX's, as they are intact. That's why I thought this car could be the new build.
@@crxseth I see. Hopefully there isn’t more rust, but it would be good to build and keep the channel going
I might have some little things you need for the crx buddy
Let me know. I’ve already gotten a lot of items.
How many CRX cars do you have?🔰
Total of three now.
PFI speed RUclips channel they're out of Colorado contact them cuz they might be able to change a bunch of parts cuz they have three gutted crx's
$600, out here in cali u cant find one in half as good of shape for less than 2500
You can’t out here, either. I just got a bit lucky.
would you sell?
The one I just picked up? Not at this time. Maybe after I rebuild it.
Salvage what you can and drop it off at the junkyard.
No way!
Would be a good 1st project for someone. But I’d take the hood and cut my losses just IMO.
Can I have one? Lol
Fix it up....
I would restore it. Not rotten out so don't part out
Part out and get out 👎
