Thank you for sharing the video! I can still see my Dream Car in 2021. CRX is really a god-level work. It is still so beautiful now. Many new technologies in Japan will not be exported before. Honda EF Japan already has Vtec. Foreign EG first Started to use. In the end of the 80s, Accord has a fixed speed. With automatic tracking function to control acceleration and deceleration. In the 80s, Toyota 2.000cc family car was equipped with a refrigerator. Map navigation began in the 60s. Until now, the Japanese version and the export version will be different. The United States Cars have a lot of high-tech. Your feel normal, but we're have never seen it. I’m so glad to share with you.
I don't like Hondas much because of the Honda kids by me stancing them and thinking they are race cars (no vtech) but I always admired the CRX. If I ever own a Honda, it's going to be a CRX properly built the way I want it. I'm glad I accidentally came across your channel. I really enjoy your videos. If I ever come across money, I would totally have you build me a fast CRX and I would fly from NJ (Where I live) and enjoy the ride home.
I was quite surprised to see what some grey scotch Brite and some plastic restore agent did to those interior panels. Thanks for sharing cause I have a couple sets I could restore myself.😊
I love the OEM/OEM + work you do but I really want to see you do a full custom CRX!!!! I think with your attention to detail it would be an amazing build. What would really be cool would be an original 72-29 Civic! or an 87 Si (JDM)! That would be sweet!
I used some vinyl and plastic paint that came in a rattle can on my CRX interior plastic for the faded areas and the colour match was spot on. I then lightly rubbed it back and applied a trim treatment wax similar to yours. Good as new.
@@JJenesuispasfrancais Dupli-Color Vinyl & Fabric Paint Flat Black 311g - HVP106. I know it says vinyl and fabric but worked perfectly for the plastic panels in the trunk area and dashboard of my 1988 CRX. The colour match is near perfect. Finish with some light trim rejuvenator. Tried to keep it as OEM as possible. Matt, not shiny. Do a test area first as product may vary on region. I’m in Australia.
Makes me wish I still had my old crx sadly I sold it a couple years ago uncompleted... think I still have some of the parts in storage either for or from it
awesome videos Seth. I have a 89' sitting in my garage and your videos make me get off my a$$ and restore it. Plenty of tricks and advise in your videos and the outcome is great. Do you have a video on how the restore a cracked dashboard? Mine has a few cracks. Much appreciated and keep up the good work.
how do you plan to replace the roof moldings because they are hard to find new. My Civic coupe needs roof moldings so would love to hear what you’re doing with yours.
@@crxseth i get it, when i was taking my car apart i had to stop like every 5 minutes to watch a video or look it up on the group page, then i would just try and figure stuff out myself and it would either break or take longer than if i just looked it up 😆

@@crxseth Thanks for sharing, never heard of the piano hinges!😆Good idea do!I will try and see if I can make a hinge for it that can be out of sight underneath the cover.
Wow that plastic restorer works really well! I went with the heat gun method which took some time then applied VRP from CG which came out looking like factory color and identical to the carworx. Does it provide uv protection like the VRP? Heard both of these products last a very long time. EDIT* some small minor spots are still faded and wont go way with heat nor the VRP on mines.
Great work on these. I need to grab some of this stuff and see you have a link. I got a y49 with some front damage and noticed you had a couple of bumpers. I’d love to get one from you or if you know someone with any, I’d love to get in touch with them.
Juts what I needed... Any tips on how to restore the top "felt"part of the dashboard and doortrims... Thye came out that felt material which always weathers in sun... I have the audm model

In UK they were still cheapish 2 years back now all of sudden they are being listed for alot more, could never understand why they were cheap compared to other hot hatch from same era. Vtec converted i bid on 2 years back but just outbid £3,500 but got JDM 1.5x for 2k which suits me as cheap to tax and still cool CRX end of day, managed to get some JDM power folding mirrors for it also
Really enjoy these videos. Finding a well cared for semi-stock crx feels almost impossible.
If you find it its expensive which is another thing
Binge watched all the videos in this series so far. Your attention to detail is exceptional.

SEM trim paint also works great to get oem finish on interior plastics. your method looks good and gives it that aged character.

good job Seth! Greetings from Poland
That S2000 is gorgeous
I gotta say, that plastic looked pretty good
Loving all the different stuff you show on the channel! Keep it up, Sir!

I’m just going to reuse the old ones.
Do a POV shot driving down the road in the project rex the way it is right now that would be pretty hilarious 😂😂

lol seth i just asked about that hatch harness plug on the CRX community facebook page a couple weeks ago! 👍
I should have done a bit more research. Haha.

I probably will not do a Honda Accord. Those have just not been a car I'm interested in very much.
Cerakote has a trim restorer that’s really good and a permanent fix
I’ve been wanting to try it out!

Bug spray with deet. Brings the plastic back to new. Spray let sit for a few minutes and wipe clean
Bug repellant

I’m unsure of the UV protection, to be honest.
i use a product called solution finish. its expensive but works amazing with plastics
Thanks for the suggestion.
I'm having trouble with the seat back adjustment mechanism. The seat only locks in the almost all the way leaning back position.

One step ahead of you , what's you're plan with the green / faded rear speaker covers ?, dye ?
Probably, unless I can find some new fabric to use.
Nice nice..
I use a paint brush to scrub interior panels with soap before power washing
I’ve used a toothbrush before, but now I’m all out of brushes. Maybe this will motivate me to buy some cleaning supplies. Makes life easier.
I wonder if this would have similar results on the blue interior the crx hf has
I say it would help in just the same way. It’s no miracle cure, but it would improve the looks.

Only thing I know to do is re-“flock” it using a flocking kit. I’ll be doing that to mine to match the EUDM door panels I bought.

I know you are a purist, but think of the ROI if you plopped a k series in it prior to flip?! Your spouse would appreciate it, I am sure!
Believe it or not, these cars are sometimes more valuable with the original d-series in it. And it’s far less work and initial cost.
