This maybe a Problem that... Genshin can help. By being an example of how little the devs care for their comunity, Genshin has help Wuwa set up a new bar. Even if Kuro want to water down the rewards abit, people can still feels that is alot compare to how much Genshin gave us for 3 years.

The auto targeting was pretty bad honestly, I tried to hit an enemy in front of me, and the attack hit the enemy behind the front one, there's also randomly switching target when the targeted enemy was about to die. Glad to see they're addressing the issue.
a couple of days ago i was fighting some big car guy, used my echo skill and my calcharo teleported to a random enemy 20 meters away??? this was so weird
For me, I think that the last thing Kuro has to make is to put the environmental sounds in the game such as voice of people talking when you're near them. Sound of hustling trees, when you're near the wolf or monsters, you can hear their growls at a certain distance etc.
I get they're working hard, but it's just making it that much more apparent how they had to rush development / release to try and get a chunk of their competitor's playerbase. 1.1 got advanced by a week so it doesn't overlap with ZZZ's both release date and subsequent patches. I'm just sad they couldn't wait 6/12 months to truly refine the game. I feel bad thinking how Kuro's devs must be working overtime. Having issues in the base game as of 1.0 idk how getting 1.1 sooner will help them work on said issues. I doubt they had time to review 1.1's localization but what do I know, hope that I'm wrong about it. I really hope wuwa does well, a shame we might have to wait a few patches to have a refined game experience. I'm really excited for 1.1's characters and story though!

i really dont want to see kuro stretching themselves extremely thin with all these fixes and early releases. i dont think ppl remember how bad genshin 1.0 was with the extremely boring furnace event. the fact wuwa launched with illusive realm and then had the overdash club not even a week later is amazing. im ul 33 and still haven't explored most of the map!!
People are giving to Overdash Club event too much shit, IMO. It is a weak first event, but it is a good filler event. I've been having fun with it, as the parkour system in this game is fun.
I've played Genshin day 1 (on PC), it wasn't as bad as Wuwa is. The game was in a much better state at launch even tho many things were far from perfect and the lack of keybinding option for example was really stupid.

It's just our subjective experiences of course, but you can't say it was perfect just because you didn't have trouble. As an experienced gamer, I never expect launches to go smoothly these days. What really makes or breaks the game is the aftermath, and so far Kuro is acing it. Thank god they are dealing with enemy disengagement. I was fighting level 120 Hoocheifs; they would dip and fully heal multiple times. It was a battle, to say the least...
The most surprising out of all of this is how the Devs communicate with it's playerbase. I think this is a one in a million case study where the developer is not an ass and actually LISTENS. Actually swalled their Ego and listens to our feedback. Just because of that this game is a major success to me. 🙏
Hey Rate Up, about the JP issue, to make it clear, it has already been resolved, Ryuuku Sensei has already made a video about it. In a nutshell, Only 200+ JP players reported that they had issues of spending for the weapon to use for Calcharo, they were reached out to by Kuro and were refunded and were given more compensation. The final sentiments of JP players about all the issues regarding the weapon is that they were satisfied with how Kuro handled the matter.
That's wild. We really don't see that kind of transparence coming from every developer out there, let alone the ones from Asia in general. It feels good to see that they're working hard to make up to everybody's expectations.

Glad they're addressing the audio issue. I played the quest against Dreamless completely without BGM and sometimes without SFX. I won't be able to experience that main quest again, but at least it would prevent it from happening in the future. They also need to rebalance the sound. I don't get why the sounds of my resonators gasping (especially Chixia) is louder than the ambience and sometimes the sound of combat. Also Danjin is a resonator with HP sacrifice as her mechanic. They don't need to keep playing her injured sound again and again unless she's getting hit

I will say this until the end of all this drama; When people say rollercoaster, all I've seen is minor hiccups. I've played truly trash game launches that barely functioned. Those are rollercoasters. Wuthering waves is just a lil fucked at the start compared to those games and it has done a GREAT job so far of fixing issues. It was their first global launch. It was bound to have issues. So many people said "They should have released it later", but what those people don't realize is that you CAN'T expect that to have changed anything. THEY NEEDED the fuck up. you NEED to make mistakes to learn from them. This launch was a NECESSITY. The only way it wouldn't work out is if they didn't WANT to learn from it.
am hapy that they are finyally going to fix the control remaping issues as they are a HUGE deal breaker, especially for me, I play on controller but all the controls are totally backward compared to all the other games I play, and for some reason we cant remap the buttons, and if I want to play on keyboard... well I cant, they refuse to modify certain functions and keys but I have to if I wannya play as I dont have a qwerty keyboard and the layout is verry different from one I been kinda barely playing this game because of the control issues making it EXTREMLY frustrating and hard to play and making the combat really not fun, tho the story is fine as its just pressing forward in the dialogues
It is worth noting that while the translation of the weapon was wrong, even if it had been as the mistranslation was, the difference of damage would've been around the 1% park, since calcharo's damage is not heavy atk, but resonance liberation damage, and you only ever do 1 heavy atk per rotation and it does negligible damage that is only used to further buff your resonance liberation damage through your passive
Every day it seems like a new bug or problem appears and every time they have to dump free stuff to maintain the playerbase. I don't see how moving up the schedule will help when they should have been focusing all of their resources on fixing the game that clearly wasn't ready for release. I hope the game doesn't die since there are so many people having fun but this will end up snowballing if they don't start focusing on the essentials
Given they’ve patched out a large majority of bugs and fixed a lot of optimization already, and that the only large issues were with localization, it’s really not as horrid as you’re implying. The core of the game itself plays really well and is very enjoyable. I think they’re pulling the banner forward so that future releases don’t clash with Hoyo’s stuff, which is a smart move on their end.

I have mixed feelings. I'm happy that they are willing to listen to players and fix issues and they are generous with compensation, but I'm bothered by the sheer number of issues that they are addressing. What happened to this game? What happened to the beta test results? I really hope that the subsequent versions will not be riddled with this much issue.
Issues like the echo system are best tested at a mass scale and can’t reliably be tested through a beta, given everyone needs to be at that level and play for a while to really *feel* it. A lotta other issues were more reactionary than anything rather than an issue with the base game itself. The foundation for WuWa is pretty solid, I just hope Kuro can capitalize on it.
Dude. Again, they are inexperienced when it comes to global SIMULTANEOUS release. They had to do translation on top of ALL the usual stuff. They were never going to have a perfect launch. FRANKLY? The game launch was way better than it was made out to be imho. I've played some reaaaalll shitters, gacha or otherwise that launched in states that made me question my sanity while playing them. Wuthering waves was simply a little inconvenient in comparison. The worst experience I even ended up having was the music bug and my pc hard crashing the very first time I launched the game.

As far as I know, Hoyo was also not used to simultaneous global release when Genshin was launched. And at that time they had nothing to base it on, because there was no gacha game like that before. Yes, they took inspiration from existing game mechanics, but that's like taking existing ingredients to make a brand new recipe. It's very clear that Kuro took that recipe and changed some aspects to make it their own (it still feels like Genshin but with better exploration and combat and a weaker story). And yet this game's state at launch was so much worse compared to Genshin. Aside from the data gathered from beta tests, they could also see what works and what doesn't in Genshin. And yet despite all that...well, you know what I'm getting at. I just don't understand what happened. But anyway that's all behind us, and I just hope the next patches will not be this rough.
Definitely glad that Yinlin comes sooner, but now I have to decide between going to Mt. Firmament or Tural first on June 28th... I don't even know if this is considered suffering from success... 💀

Outside of other things happening to the game such as designs being altered or censored for the current version such as Scar and Suahua- what will be the next big character for WuWa since Calkaro and Yinglin where the most hyped? I hope the game doesn’t just drop off after Yinglin’s release. I say this because you have made a video in the past about 5-stars not feeling like five stars so I wonder if this is going to be ‘the peak’ for the five stars or if it will start stagnanting kinda like Genshin.

Honestly the jiyan incorrect weapon TRANSLATION drama is weird, to say the least… it’s not uncommon for games to get wrong description in stuff, even gacha games, and any games just say « woops sorry » and everyone move out… i suspect the fact it is wuthering wave, the game that present as the first serious competitor to genshin, might be related to it… i see far worse game release that trigger way less reaction from players.. you still can get those wavebands AFTER 6TH JUNE THE BANNER IS RUNNING SIMULTANOUSLY with Jiyan and Yinlin (I FORGOT HOW TO SPELL IT) so you still have time dw
After Jiyan's banner ends, you won't be able to pull for him again until he gets a rerun, which probably won't be for at least a few months. But I wouldn't worry about getting dupes, they aren't that important unless you really like that character. For early game you should focus on getting more characters and having variety than just having one really strong character
honestly big props to the devs for responding so generously, although there are still a lot of issues to tackle. considering they need to retain players after the messy launch, its understandable. i just wish they could do something about the story on the early acts, because its really bad that i dont care about the game enough to progress other than for the combat. not sure they can do anything about that at this point though
I hope this game is successful. I was one of the players who had constant crashing every 5 mins of play. It was on mobile. I was also disappointed that it didn’t have controller support. I think I will pull for Yinlin and sit the rest out until Kuro makes the game playable for mobile players or have a console ver.

Overdash club is real fun, my only issue that I want more, I would have been fine if they just split the rewards for 1 course to make it 2 each

The door realm is definitely my favorite mode in the game, it's got a fun arcade feel to it

I will say this until the end of all this drama; When people say rollercoaster, all I've seen is minor hiccups. I've played truly trash game launches that barely functioned. Those are rollercoasters. Wuthering waves is just a lil fucked at the start compared to those games and it has done a GREAT job so far of fixing issues.
It was their first global launch. It was bound to have issues. So many people said "They should have released it later", but what those people don't realize is that you CAN'T expect that to have changed anything. THEY NEEDED the fuck up. you NEED to make mistakes to learn from them.
This launch was a NECESSITY. The only way it wouldn't work out is if they didn't WANT to learn from it.

am hapy that they are finyally going to fix the control remaping issues as they are a HUGE deal breaker, especially for me, I play on controller but all the controls are totally backward compared to all the other games I play, and for some reason we cant remap the buttons, and if I want to play on keyboard... well I cant, they refuse to modify certain functions and keys but I have to if I wannya play as I dont have a qwerty keyboard and the layout is verry different from one
I been kinda barely playing this game because of the control issues making it EXTREMLY frustrating and hard to play and making the combat really not fun, tho the story is fine as its just pressing forward in the dialogues
It is worth noting that while the translation of the weapon was wrong, even if it had been as the mistranslation was, the difference of damage would've been around the 1% park, since calcharo's damage is not heavy atk, but resonance liberation damage, and you only ever do 1 heavy atk per rotation and it does negligible damage that is only used to further buff your resonance liberation damage through your passive

Every day it seems like a new bug or problem appears and every time they have to dump free stuff to maintain the playerbase.
I don't see how moving up the schedule will help when they should have been focusing all of their resources on fixing the game that clearly wasn't ready for release.
I hope the game doesn't die since there are so many people having fun but this will end up snowballing if they don't start focusing on the essentials
Given they’ve patched out a large majority of bugs and fixed a lot of optimization already, and that the only large issues were with localization, it’s really not as horrid as you’re implying. The core of the game itself plays really well and is very enjoyable. I think they’re pulling the banner forward so that future releases don’t clash with Hoyo’s stuff, which is a smart move on their end.

I have mixed feelings. I'm happy that they are willing to listen to players and fix issues and they are generous with compensation, but I'm bothered by the sheer number of issues that they are addressing. What happened to this game? What happened to the beta test results?
I really hope that the subsequent versions will not be riddled with this much issue.
Issues like the echo system are best tested at a mass scale and can’t reliably be tested through a beta, given everyone needs to be at that level and play for a while to really *feel* it. A lotta other issues were more reactionary than anything rather than an issue with the base game itself. The foundation for WuWa is pretty solid, I just hope Kuro can capitalize on it.

Dude. Again, they are inexperienced when it comes to global SIMULTANEOUS release. They had to do translation on top of ALL the usual stuff. They were never going to have a perfect launch.
FRANKLY? The game launch was way better than it was made out to be imho. I've played some reaaaalll shitters, gacha or otherwise that launched in states that made me question my sanity while playing them. Wuthering waves was simply a little inconvenient in comparison. The worst experience I even ended up having was the music bug and my pc hard crashing the very first time I launched the game.

I'm basing my thoughts on what Kuro announces as issues, and there are a lot. I know it's a bit tiring, but let's consider Genshin again, for the nth time. As far as I know, Hoyo was also not used to simultaneous global release when Genshin was launched. And at that time they had nothing to base it on, because there was no gacha game like that before. Yes, they took inspiration from existing game mechanics, but that's like taking existing ingredients to make a brand new recipe. It's very clear that Kuro took that recipe and changed some aspects to make it their own (it still feels like Genshin but with better exploration and combat and a weaker story). And yet this game's state at launch was so much worse compared to Genshin. Aside from the data gathered from beta tests, they could also see what works and what doesn't in Genshin. And yet despite all that...well, you know what I'm getting at. I just don't understand what happened. But anyway that's all behind us, and I just hope the next patches will not be this rough.
Definitely glad that Yinlin comes sooner, but now I have to decide between going to Mt. Firmament or Tural first on June 28th... I don't even know if this is considered suffering from success... 💀

Outside of other things happening to the game such as designs being altered or censored for the current version such as Scar and Suahua- what will be the next big character for WuWa since Calkaro and Yinglin where the most hyped? I hope the game doesn’t just drop off after Yinglin’s release. I say this because you have made a video in the past about 5-stars not feeling like five stars so I wonder if this is going to be ‘the peak’ for the five stars or if it will start stagnanting kinda like Genshin.
I know a whole lot of people are really excited for Jinhsi because of her white theme, but even into the future, Phrolova, Camellya, and Scar all have their respective fans.
I think it just means more crush for devs and more issues
YinLin's comingggg homeeeee, doing all the maps 100% before her banner is out so that I can get as many pulls as possible. Right now I only have 100ish radiant saved but I'll probs drop some to get her to max resonator or to get her weapon. So hypedddddd
I failed to find a way to turn a 4 Star tunner into a 5 star tunner, is it just me or did they not added that option yet? If so then they should fix it cuz you still can get the four star tunner in taced field for whatever reason

Honestly the jiyan incorrect weapon TRANSLATION drama is weird, to say the least… it’s not uncommon for games to get wrong description in stuff, even gacha games, and any games just say « woops sorry » and everyone move out… i suspect the fact it is wuthering wave, the game that present as the first serious competitor to genshin, might be related to it… i see far worse game release that trigger way less reaction from players..
Also as other comments point, i fear they may be TOO generous and create a playerbase that will ask for ridiculously high compensation every week for the smallest issue…

Thank you! I did up the saturation a bit in editing, but the game looks really good and saturated if you turn the Brightness all the way down in the settings. Seems to be gamma and not brightness

After Jiyan's banner ends, you won't be able to pull for him again until he gets a rerun, which probably won't be for at least a few months. But I wouldn't worry about getting dupes, they aren't that important unless you really like that character. For early game you should focus on getting more characters and having variety than just having one really strong character

honestly big props to the devs for responding so generously, although there are still a lot of issues to tackle. considering they need to retain players after the messy launch, its understandable. i just wish they could do something about the story on the early acts, because its really bad that i dont care about the game enough to progress other than for the combat. not sure they can do anything about that at this point though
I hope this game is successful. I was one of the players who had constant crashing every 5 mins of play. It was on mobile. I was also disappointed that it didn’t have controller support. I think I will pull for Yinlin and sit the rest out until Kuro makes the game playable for mobile players or have a console ver.
