Really good videos for GR Yaris owners looking for exhaust upgrades.
on point
cheers
Man, I also like all the exhausts you marked, but in f-ing germany you cannot mount them onto your car due to "laws".
49:24 i really like
Credit to you both for doing this extensive exhaust test on the GRY. It was a big investment on your behalf to do this. Much appreciated.
I don't have a GR Yaris but this is very interesting. I hope you can continue to do more videos like this. Thank you for all the detailed information
HKS Super turbo was by Far My favourite and such a lovely warm, Clean sound. Worth every penny.
Definitely the cleanest sound and not boy racer annoying like most of the others.
Unfortunate though that the tips looks cheap and very aftermarket.
Remus+GPF delete is a great combo!
Sounds can be heard here:

Remus w/ Scorpion: @50:52
The Remus suprised me, was expecting it to be quieter than the others tested but for being only a 2.5 - 2.8 diameter exhaust it had a decent note!
Completely unrelated but been using these guys for Honda parts last few years absolutely flawless quick service everytime 👍
Thanks for taking the time to do such an informative video guys. I don’t have a Gr Yaris but really interesting video. If I did own one then I think the Fujitsubo would be the one for me!
Great work guys. Going to be a really useful resource for people.
Great video! Very informative for potential buyers
Amazing work guys! You clearly put a lot of effort into this and it shows! Would love to see more of these type of videos!
Stay tuned!
Thanks for a great in depth review. Just caught up with this and the intake video. Looking forward to many more. So love my GR yaris
Awesome guys! Thanks a lot for make this video and for your effort. Finally my GR Yaris is with me and I know exactly wich exhaust I want!! Cheers!
Such a nice video 👍🏼 gpf delete with resonated milltek sounds best imo
Thank you very much for testing all those exhaust.
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Thanks a lot for this video! Great resource to rewatch once the car arrives.
Very informative video thanks for the time you guys have put in 👍
If you turn off the synthesize intake noise via OBD, you can hear the exhaust better inside the car. It also makes the car slightly quieter at cruising speed.
Thanks for making the comparison!!!
On my local dealer's list for a GR Corolla, so thank you for this and the intake video. I'm thinking it'll come down to HKS or Akrapovic, so I would've liked to have seen it here too, but this is a lot of help.
Great content guys, loving the detail/explanation behind each install. Do you have a video with just the GPF delete and stock exhaust system. Would be great to hear what that sounds like. I'm after power gain/free flow rather than the sound of an after market exhaust.
That's great to hear! Unfortunately, we didn't test all the systems with the GPF-Delete, however the Fujitsubo was similar sounding to the stock system WITH the GPF, so i'd imagine with the GPF-Delete it would be somewhat similar to that as well. (Fujitsubo GPF-Delete @ 46:41 )
Milltek resonated gpf back definitely the nicest sound.. 👍
Sounds like the kind of flatulence one suffers after a baked bean supper to me.
@@robertsaca3512 obviously your speaking from experience then ...👍 Seek medical help If it continues...👀
Literally the worst lol
Agree. Bought this for my GR Yaris after this video.
Excellent video, congratulations
Great comparison, that's for sure, but having the opportunity as you had, you just missed to try the stock exhaust with the GPF delete to see how it sounded like.
@tegiwa superb review. Weighing up the Milltek or the HKS resonated systems. Do you have a summary of all the systems decibel readings in a single table? Thanks!
Thx guys, great video.
Amazing video guys!!
What is your advice... Looking for that free-flowing feeling you get from an opf delete with a raspy sound. No drone. But also lighter than stock too.
I've had Akrapovichs in the past... What do you think about those?
Happy for you to price up a solution for me!
😊😊😊
Thanks for your video, you helped me a lot to make a choice
That is a long video that I don't mind watching again. HKS Super Turbo gets my vote, though, I think Akrapovic has something great.
This is a good comparison!!
I got the HKS super turbo on my GR. Great sound. What I didn't realise was how much heavier it was than stock. Good Lord!! 6kg heavier!!
Looks like you paid for the wrong one from what I’ve seen here buddy
The most important thing about the HKS is that is has 30% less exhaust backpressure. Don't mind the 6 kg!
We also offer a resonated version, optional front muffler is also available!
Nice info for my gr corolla. Thank you
Hello I realy like that video ! That’s realy cool ! But how mutch is the weight of the stock catback please ?
Sounds awesome
Do you have any knowledge on the Whifbitz exhaust systems for the GR? If so I would be interested in your views.
Does anyone know how likely it is that an MOT tester would notice a GPF delete?? Also from what you say the Japanese market cars don't have a GPF so we just need some audio of a standard Japanese car to know what the standard exhaust sounds like without the GPF? Thanks for a great test!
No doubt, HKS Legamax Premium is an excellent and solid exhaust and no drone.
Nice review thanks for making such video! How much the stock mufflers weight? Thanks
The stock exhaust weights approx 11.8kg!
I'm looking for a titanium mid pipe gpf delete that will bolt on too stock exhaust, I like the quiet sleeper exhaust, but wouldn't mind a little note with some better flow and weight reduction. Possibly even a larger hi flow cat into a gpf delete with stock rear
Hi Are the Fujitsubo 2 hole metal gaskets reusable? Thanks
I know this is a fantastic involved video. I would have been interested to hear the dpf delete with the std exhaust
15:44 I’m loving that exhaust
great video :) check out the quicksilver valved also.
So the oe is by far the lightest at 10.8 kg. I can't see the point in adding weight so opf delete is the one for me
Which ones have the drone from inside the cabin?
Saving like a mofo to buy a gr, want to have about 18k to put down so I own it outright, therefore I really appreciate the effort you put into this and when the time comes I will deffo look at purchasing from yourselves.
That's great to hear Murphy!! Which exhaust from the test you'd like to see on your GR Yaris one day?!
would you get a convenience pack and then mod it ?
How about Stock Exhaust with GPF delete?
which system sounds most like a rally car should ?
Thanks that was brilliant and useful. When mine arrives in June (or so they say at the moment) then I'll be in touch. so which one did Matt go for?
That's great to hear! Matt went with the Fujitsubo!
@@tegiwa Yes he did say he was getting a bit old and wanted the quieter one for the neighbours i suppose - I'm also quite old too at 54 so I may have to follow his wisdomed advice. maybe not - think it will be the HKS. i'll be in touch when Toyota are! thanks again!
do you lose power with a 3 inch system ?
Would of been interesting to see rolling Road figures like the intake vid
👍 non resonated sound awful on tick over but awesome on foot 2 floor lol
Hi Mat and tegiwa have you heard the hks hi power l ll spec. Would love to know what you think compared yo others thank you.
Hi mate, no I haven't heard one yet but I am keen to, I've heard they sound great 👍
Milltek are good, but personally I'd use a full Akrapovic titanium exhaust on my GR Yaris to reduce weight, or a HKS Super Turbo exhaust custom-spec'd in Inconel
Hi there, which exhaust system did Matt eventually fit on his GR Yaris?
Matt went for the Fujitsubo in the end.
What are toyota like warranty wise . Will even a cat back void ? Or are they pretty good ?
Hi mate, largely depends on your dealer but most I've seen work on common sense. It would only affect things directly concerning the exhaust. For example, if you had an aftermarket exhaust that was misaligned and it caused one of the mounts to break on the gpf, then it wouldn't be covered. But if, say, the fuel pump stopped working, then that would be covered. I use RRG in Macclesfield and they have been fantastic
Two questions from a newbie...does GPF deletion have any consequences when the MOT test is carried out, ie, will it fail and when you are able to obtain the new GR86, would you carry out the multi exhaust test on it please?.
Hi, unfortunately with the GPF Delete it would be a MOT failure!
@@tegiwa Thanks for that confirmation. Will you be multi exhaust testing the GR86, when it reaches the UK?.
i hope you test FLOWMASTER EXHAUST for Yaris.... maybe SUPER 44 SERIES DELTA FLOW...
please test :
-FLOWMASTER
DELTAFLOW / HUSHPOWER
-AERO TURBINE
Brilliant Video made a tough decision even tougher 😂 one question is it illegal to remove the GPF ? Ie will it fail a roadside test or MOT. Also you didn’t really comment on what you thought to the Fujitsubo like you did the other other than it was quiet ?
Hi, yes tampering or removing any part of the emissions control system SHOULD fail an MOT and isn't legal for use on the road.
It's me and my car on the video, I bought the Fujitsubo and GPF delete and kept them on the car. I really like the sound with the GPF delete, without it I probably would have gone for the Milltek Resonated or one of the HKS systems. Hope this helps 👍
Thanks Scott! Yes, unfortunately with the GPF delete it would be an MOT failure.
@@noteventhatfaststill got the fujitsubo?
@@Philbyyyy yep, very happy with it 👍
Milltek Resonated for me
i've been thinking about the HKS Super Turbo Muffler for a while as it sounds great, but now i'm starting to wonder how it'd sound with a GPF delete as i want the sound a bit louder. unfortunately i can't find any videos of it 😔
I'd assume it'll sound mega!
@@tegiwa i hope so. but first i need the car delivered 😅 i’ve got a lot of time to research
Nice Sappy 👍🏻
Same! I have the HKS turbo muffler and want the GPF delete! Need to know how many DB it will make due to track days. ...
i likw thw look of the 2.75 system rather than the fake looking tips on th 3 inch
I've JUST bought a GR and came straight to your shop to have a chat about the GPF delete. Sadly your colleague was not very helpful lol. I've the HKS Turbo exhaust on mine. Did you fit the GPF delete on the HKS? As it's not on the video? Need to find out how loud it will be before ordering it through you guys.
Hi Mark,
Unfortunately, we're not sure how loud this would be as we haven't tested that system with the GPF delete. If you was needing advice on installing it there is a guide in this video @41:00.
We aimed to conduct as many tests as we can in the available time we had to work with, hopefully in the future we can expand on this video.
This 38:50 is brilliant, but I like this 11:05
When is intake test video coming? You've tested quite some recently. ;)
Not long left till the video is up! Stay tuned on the channel!
any videos of the stock exhaust with the gpf removed?
Unfortunately not. However for some slight comparison the Fujitsubo was similar sounding to the stock system without the delete so I'd say it'll also be somewhat similar with the delete.
Aw, you left out the Aulitzky Exhaust!
Gr8 test that lots of people have been waiting for. Personally I have Milltek resonated and it is as good as You say however longer trips can be a bit tiring. Also there is this drill at certain rpm that is not too pleasant. I was wondering to change it to HKS Legamax but am afraid that this will be again to quiet.
Ps. Which one have You decided to choose for Your own 😎
Matt decided to go with the Fujitsubo! He's very happy with his decision!
@@tegiwa so despite it was one of the quietest it was chosen. That means something :) Thanks.
@@Luki_Luki_Luki it means that I leave for work before 6am unfortunately 😂. I do love how it sounds though but if I wasn't fitting a GPF delete I would have gone with the Milltek Resonated 👍
HKS Legamax Premium is an excellent and solid exhaust.
Holy cow, the GPF delete Remus is brutal. I do like the pure sound. It reminds me to real racing like wrc. But you absolutely can not drive this casually. Its just to whrooom. You will have anyone's attention. Mostly the bad sort. I wouldn't want that. For a daily, I'll stick with the stock one. Maybe the fuj.
VOUS N’AVEZ PAS ESSAYÉ AKRAPOVIC ??
I don't even own a GRY, but man this was a great video!! HKS sounded best imo. Which did you end up going with?
He ended up going with the Fujitsubo system with the GPF Delete!
HKS Super turbo ftw
Are the tips on stock one possible to change?
I don't believe they are.
@@tegiwa thanks, thought so too
I can bet you Matt has taken home the HKS super turbo home!
He took home the Fujitsubo!
@@tegiwa ah just as good then haha. I'm actually surprised it's not a huge price different to the low end build quality of millteks
why no gpf delete+stock gpf back??
Sounds a lot like a straight through pd
👍🏽
I’ve got a Scorpion on my S4, I don’t think I’d have another. There’s a reason they’re cheap, it must be the lowest quality stainless there is as it looks like it’s come off the titanic after being on my car for 4 years.
Remus the best
Where is the Akrapovic ??
Does that mean you've now got some used exhausts for sale 😂
Couldn't care less about the sound....which one makes the most usable power and torque ? That's all that matter's....(to me)...
The stock exhaust is very well designed, none of these are likely to make a difference to performance. GPF delete is the only thing that is going to make a difference on this video.
El coche es increíble, pero sacarle un buen sonido a un 3 cilindros…. Es imposible igualar a un súper 1.600cc
its very
confusing which one are you talking about...
Remus non-res gpf delete is pure chav
The worst things about the GR Yarns fours is when you follow them on the motorway and you can see that shitty looking exhaust pipe hanging down like something has came loose.
ReMoViNg ThE gPf Is IlLeGaL
just doesn’t sound good it doesn’t matter what you do with it
