  • In this video, Angry Video Game Nerd shows us the Amiga CD-32 and plays what may very well be the most absurd CD-32 game ever.
3:09 Forget Great Effect Development (funky capitalization ignored on purpose), Kang Fu is such a crazy nonsensical game that I swear it was programmed by Laughing Joking Numbnuts!
    Purple for putrid gameplay... Check!
Blue for bad musical abominations... Check!
Green for graphical farts and garlic... Check!
Yellow for piss-poor lack of loyalty to source material... Check!
Orange for orange you a big idiot... Check!
Red for high-stress anger-inducing masochism... Giant economy-sized check!

In case somebody is still interested in the backstory of this game, i've found an interview with the developers in an old Dutch Amiga magazine (Amiga Magazin number 42 from November 1996 (I don't know Dutch myself, but google lens helped a lot):
Apparently GREED was simply a group of friends and relatives who wanted to develop game that took advantage of the capabilities of the Advanced Graphics Architecture chipset (hence the CD32 compatibility). So more of a tech demo that eventually became a game. When it was finished they looked for a publisher, but nobody wanted to release stuff for the Amiga anymore. Finally they self-published the game and distributed it by mail order. The funniest part of the interview was the info that they pitched the game to Psygnosis and apparently Psygnosis actually liked the game. They only rejected the offer because they had already withdrawn from the Amiga market at that time.

Shortening Great Effects Development to GREED is disrespectful to (guess which societal undesirable).

5:19 James hasn’t read the Sonic 3 Manual where if your playing as Tails in Sonic 3 Alone, there’s a glitch that’ll kill him automatically in Icecap Zone UNLESS you activate a checkpoint or special stage
