In case somebody is still interested in the backstory of this game, i've found an interview with the developers in an old Dutch Amiga magazine (Amiga Magazin number 42 from November 1996 (I don't know Dutch myself, but google lens helped a lot): Apparently GREED was simply a group of friends and relatives who wanted to develop game that took advantage of the capabilities of the Advanced Graphics Architecture chipset (hence the CD32 compatibility). So more of a tech demo that eventually became a game. When it was finished they looked for a publisher, but nobody wanted to release stuff for the Amiga anymore. Finally they self-published the game and distributed it by mail order. The funniest part of the interview was the info that they pitched the game to Psygnosis and apparently Psygnosis actually liked the game. They only rejected the offer because they had already withdrawn from the Amiga market at that time.

Two things. First, this is probably the most epic failure on Supermarket Sweep next to other moments such as the couple who grabbed the 5k after the bell rang yet convinced themselves they won and were really pissed at the end when David told them they didn’t win.
