Universal's New Theme Park Land Opens! Best Food in Minion Land?

- We traveled to Universal Studios Florida to check out their new Minion Land. Minion Cafe features some of the best food in the two Universal Orlando theme parks. Freeze Ray Pops brings some sweet frozen treats to cool you down. Pop-A-Nana offers banana-flavored popcorn and Minion-themed drinks. Bake My Day offers a selection of cute Minion-themed baked goods as well fluffy unicorn merchandise. The Illumination Theater offers meet and greets with your favorite characters from Despicable Me, Minions and Sing. And the new gift shop Evil Stuff offers all the Villain Con merchandise you cold ever want. Villain Con Minion Blast is expected to open later this Summer.

I love how happy Peter looks in Minion Land. He did not stop smiling! I had to think a minute about all the statues and “scenes” and how nothing is moving and there are no animatronics. It reminds me a little of the old Disney stores or Warner Bros stores that had little scenes with statues. I guess we don’t really need anything moving around and being complicated and breaking down (which let’s be real, would happen). So it’s a cheaper way to go but smarter and more realistic because we know they could never keep stuff moving. So I think it looks great for what it is.
Hey I love animatronics more than anyone but Florida sun is no joke and I doubt they could keep them moving in that heat and wetness. The amount of detail in each of those statues is just amazing. It really feels like a moment frozen in time and there is so much to explore and discover.
@@OrdinaryAdventures I agree. It bothered me at first that the Gringotts dragon didn’t move and was just a statue atop the building…but I get it. It would have broken in a month if they tried to make it movable. And these statues all look cool in pics.

Kitra has the best kind of energy. Every time I hear her laugh or see her excitement for something it puts a big smile on my face lol. Everyone needs a friend like Kitra.

As someone who hates minions, I think they managed to pull off some pretty great theming in this land! Some of the food looked pretty unappetizing, but I guess that's what happens when you stay true to the source material, especially with that soup. Glad to hear it tasted good!

The Minion Land is so adorable and I can't wait to see it in August (I think I'm more excited than my 11 year old). LOL I was getting the names of the minions all wrong but I think I got it now so thank you Kitra (Stewart is easy but I couldn't figure out how to tell Kevin and Bob apart until I paid attention to the eye color)! I get excited in all the stores until I get to the register and realize I've gone way over budget 🤣!
I can't wait to try the Antidote and Agnes Soup; just seems like everyone seems to enjoy both of them.

The Dino chicken tenders were at Costco the other day. My daughter wanted them, and I don't remember eating them 😂. I love the minions. What a cool addition to Universal Orlando. Someday, we will go.
