Thanks bro...
Vikas Rachamalla as a matter of fact you clutch lever has no play at all as thi bike is moving even when your clutch is completely disengaged
Is it any beneficial to use 10w50 for duke 200 over 20w50 ??
Vikas Rachamalla please tell me about buying a tvs apache rr 310
And i need a suggestion about buying a new bike
Almost did everything..... which I shouldn't. ...... thanks bro for such information
Lmao me too!!
How often did you get it replaced ?
rahul raj wish I saw this video before I bought my bike. 😅
XD
yeah I just got my clutch replaced on my 2020 ninja 400. clutch was totally burnt. had to replace everything. cost about $600
I just came across this video - after getting my first lesson of Moto riding. Never have ridden a motorcycle. Thanks for sharing the knowledge!
I trust this guy because he is wearing sunglasses
Israel Santos what is the logic with trust and glasses😂
It makes sense. Any one who wears sunglasses has to be cool 😎 and is most likely trust worthy. I wear sunglasses on my videos as well. Im giving this one a thumbs up 👍
O come on people.. He's joking 😂

I just bought my duke 390. I’ve been having trouble shifting gears. 1-2 is smooth, 2-3-4 is horrrrrible when in slow speeds. When I’m on the highway it does not clunk and make a heavy dhukkkkk sound, but when I’m slow.. ughhhh, I feel like I’m hurting the bike.
Was frustrated n your video taught me something new about my bike so I’m happier now haha. Thanks man.
Please Make A Video On How To Make Appropriate Gear Shifts. Thank You For The Knowledge You Are Giving Us..
Is there already one ?
Sorry to drop in but i can give uba piece of advice that always keep in mind the sound of the engine. U think its redlining shift up and if u downshift and u feel engine brake is applied quickly engage the clutch and shift up or apply brake. I don't like using engine braking but professionals use it so its as per ur wish.
6 years later, this is still a gem of a video. Thank you, sir. Btw I love the new podcasts! 😃
thanks very much brother

Thankyou so much! I was thinking this only since a few days that I am doing something wrong! & you just dropped the video today on this! I corrected myself by releasing 20-30% clutch before with just a little bit throttle, the bike goes ahead smoothly! Before I use to give more than a little throttle & the bike just revved so much that my dad got off the backseat in middle of the traffic! My dad just serviced the whole engine a few days ago! Hope I don't break it! I am a beginner!
Nope.
If that were the case, slow speed control would destroy every clutch on every motorcycle ever made.
You know (most) motorcycles have a wet clutch right?
Let it warm up properly before you ride and like my 90k mile FZS 1000 it'll never need replacing.
Thanks so much for this. I began riding recently and am trying to learn at an early stage how to stay safe and also not ruin my bike. Subscribed
Thank you very much. Hope you enjoy my other videos too and hope you subscribe.
I recommend staying in gear at a stop light and keep your eyes on the rearview mirrors. Keep your bike aimed at an escape route. It may save you from being rear ended.
That's a good idea regarding safety
You western people drive at 60mph like its nothing, that's not the case in India. Plus we have way more motorcyclists compared to cars here. Your car drivers are "blind" towards motorcyclists and its okay, but not applicable in India. You can afford to burn your clutch plates but we can't.
Thanks for the kind info 🙏

I love his voice every time I think of the words of the motorcycle I hear his voice now!!! 😂 keep up the good work love the videos
Thank you brother.
hello... bro you always speak exact words...
1. some people pull the clutch lever and start moving in 3-4 gear...
2. during 30-50kmph speed people change gear
my tip is
when you are start moving bike put 1 gear and give few required movement then go to 2nd gear then go to 25kmph speed and then directly go to 5th gear
long time confusion about operating clutch. now I am cleared my doubts, thanks sir.
Bro as my knowledge clutch is only used for shifting the gears and in some comfort zone case like cornering etc.
The video is nice . Ty
😂😂Do u even know how to drive?
Chandrakant Shankar tf ? Pls elaborate
Thankyou for making this video, I was starting my motorcycle in 1st gear by pulling the clutch. It was a big mistake that I was doing. Thank you very much sir.

This is a brilliant point that you have just made in this video, thank you my friend
Bike moved may b your clutch is lose, you needed to adjust your clutch.
Casual Rider or may be bike needed little more warmup before taking to gear.
I have to agree the clutch cable needs adjustment
Casual Rider it's called creeping
Sir ji I do reckon You've lot of knowledge about bikes and you explained brilliantly 🙏🙏🙏
22k kms done including Leh a few weeks back, still rocking my company fitted clutch plates. I only use clutch while shifting gears.
How do you stop in traffic for 1-2 seconds? 😲
@@ashish00007 Well, the standard protocol is, unlike chapris, one should slow down and stop at yellow light itself, bring the engine to neutral, turn it off and start when It turns green or is about to (like 5 seconds left at the timer). For bumper to bumper traffic I continue to ride in 3rd gear which goes from 12kmph and all the way upto 75kmph . For any speeds lower than that I stay in 2nd gear which again goes from 0 upto 40kmph without too much stress. I do not engage the clutch even when I am not accelerating, the engine breaking plays a crucial role here, I just drop a gear or two and continue.
So how do you go slow without stalling? Probably don't know how to
That was helpful. I would add it's good to do 2 finger clutch because it leaves 2 other fingers around the bar and prevents loss of control.
Nice video. Thx for informing me about your 3rd point that i often do😅 but now on i will not do that again.
Thank you so much sir I've learned a lot from you, i hope I'll not burn clutch plate soon from today ☺️
My suspension was changed at 7000 kilometres . Please do a video on this topic also.

I will make a video on this soon bro..
This is a great video. As a beginner, this is very helpful to understand. Thank you.
teach us rev matching in demo but not in a standing motorcycle
Try to master the rpm of your bike bro. Thats your hint for rev matching. Whether you go downgear or upgear hihi
rev matching shouldn't need to be told it should just be natural when you are at 10k rpm and you pulled in the clutch and drop a gear bring the rpm bring the rpm back up to 10rpm or near before letting the clutch go
Bring him at your place he will teach you
It's easy
@@JamieS1992 I never once thought to rev match until I found a video on it. Before that, I had no idea what rev matching was or even existed.

Can we downshift multiple gears (4->1) by holding the clutch lever once.
No
Yes
@@dirtypanda6984 it will harm both clutch and gear
Yes for sure but u should match with the rpm level and speed level
as long as you don't release the clutch at speeds that the gear cannot handle without causing heavy engine breaking you should be ok . else you can rev match 4 gears down without using clutch, but it takes a while to understand the engine

thanks for the advices! i think i abuse my clutch , i've been making most of these mistakes!
Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoy my other videos too and hope you subscribe.
Hey nice video, will also recommend not pulling the clutch all the way back, that's a dead zone anyhow, you can have it disengaged without all the way back. Then you can change gears more smoothly verse all the way back then you have to release like halfway before it bites. Also at a light, if you do go nuetral make sure your bike is pointed at an exit so you can pop it into gear for those who don't stop behind you, then you don't get hit.
"Buddiiesss"... Love the Intro 😍💕💕
Hi Vikas. Good job on the video. Thanks for sharing the details about clutch oil.
I'd Like to add something more.
I've recently visited Northern parts of India and one thing I noticed here is that , people don't shift to lower gears , they partially engage the clutch while in 4th or 5th gear and keep moving at 20kmph range.
Thanx for the video. i was doing the same mistakes previously.
Bro just 1 thing i wanna say
U really know how to explain..
I really like to watch your videos and i really have learned alot
Thats why I ride a scooter and I m fine with everything
@@Appppy u idiot. Public transport in India sucks.
Not only clutch solution bt scooter has the biggest advantage of luggage space...But scooter is good only for short distances & smooth roads..If u have nything missing here then rest assured u will get back & shoulder pain soon , no matter how carefully u try to ride.. Thats the reson ppl choose bikes, auto gear bikes consumes lotta fuel so is not popular..
Thanks for the video, my i20 clutch got burnt 😭 i hope all the logics will also apply for car. Thanks again.

Buddy bro pls make a video on bhp and torque as simple as possible.
M.S MANOJ bhp is how fast you hit the wall torque is how much distance u carry that wall with you.
Saravanan thank u for replying
I'm understood with bhp but can u precisely tell what is torque.im confused
M.S MANOJ Torque is all about how much load can a engine takes. bhp is how long a engine takes to reach top speed i guess

Very useful, thanks bro
very informative video my friend. love from philippines :)
One more point is Clutch less gear shifting helps saving the plates
Absolutely true.. thanks bro..
Your channel is awesome. keep the good stuff coming. cheers!!
but will eventually end up screwing the gear box. Clutch is there for a reason.
Ekambaram Nataraajan u can do this easily when shifting up, just use tha throttle. Simple

Thanks bro..
Vikas Rachamalla At morning I was thinking that it's been a long time you haven't uploaded any video yet and now made me happy.
I've learned today that I'm doing the wrong thing since many years with the clutch. Moreover I've seen people using the clutch till their biting point in traffic which is the major cause for burning the plates. Hope I added this as well😀
One of my friends shift gear without using the clutch .
I told him not to do that.
But I don't know what will happen.
So sir can you tell me what's gonna happen?
+Sourav Hore it is an absolutely perfect way of doing the shift, if done well. Thanks and cheers bro...
Vikas Rachamalla So that means it won't harm the bike ?
Sourav Hore Upshifting at higher rpm wont damage motorcycle but you should let go off throttle. I'm not sure about downshifts
rupesh tyson thanks bro!!!!
Recommended to use clutch while down shifting always.
If done correctly up shifting needs very little or no clutch 👍
Thank u brotha. I need to adjust all settings. Because the dealership has them all set not for my comfort. Maybe is good. Maybe is not. Subbed.
I bought a new rc390 last week😍

Nice video on one of the most basic mistakes many people do.
Bike was creeping like crazy
Adjust the clutch
Yeah his clutch adjustment is way wrong
I didnt think that was right. My bike is brand new and doesn't do the jerk on startup while in gear or creep
If you hold the clutch at a light how bad if any wear would you really do on your clutch? Would you say 3% burn or less please give us your opinion what would you percent?
Geng beng aftel scul #guuci #geng
Anyone ;D ?
I'm going to choose my engine oil based on what's going to best protect my engine and internal components.... Since the clutch plates themselves are very inexpensive, but the engine are very expensive.... I'll use the synthetic that better protect the engine, and risk having to replace my plates earlier.
Good video my.friend!
What happen when be rev bomb on a bike
If the motorcycle is stationary, it will burn the clutch slightly, but, if it is moving even at 10 kmph, you are safe.. Thanks bro..

In the US we say to leave it in first gear. We play the friction zone when at stop, ready to move in a hurry if trouble arises.
I agree!
Vikas thanks for taking the time to do this properly. I stand educated. :)
I can't see a better video or better explanation than this😀😁

Same question 🙋♂️
Hello Sir!!!... Can You please tell us which oil(For Clutch) should we prefer for KTM bikes?

Sir what about launch control.
Will we be burning the clutch while doing launch control....
Do we need to pull the clutch lever before braking every time?
Bro how about the fuel consumption while holding the clutch..and even if you kill the engine at a signal and restart again engine takes more fuel for the initial stroke ...right??🤔🤔
riding with clutch all the time or continuosly pressing clutch while riding even the road is open..is it good???
How to know if the clutch plates are gone and need replacement?
Do we need to open up the assembly or is there any other way to know?
