I’m going ti show you how you can go from hitting bad shots from chipping, pitching, bunker shots and full drives with your golf swing are so much harder and inconsistent because of one error when it comes to the set up.
How can the angle of your lead foot toes cause so many golf swing faults? A restricted upper body, a slide, an over the top golf swing because of and over-dominant dominant side to your body.
And easier golf swings are achieved by flaring the toes out toes and flow will give effortless power and consistency… Instantly
Which golf swing would you prefer? DID YOU SEE THE DIFFERENCE?
Golfers struggle to swing until they do this especially older golfers
This is not only applicable to full swings or senior golfers though if you don’t do this you will always struggle with your golf game.
Posting up is needed

Left foot turned out a little works very well , thank you
Great to hear!🏌️♂️
thanks again for this important insight. I was struggling with too much attention to a nice backswing and as a consequence was getting more stuck in the follow through, now with this left foot flairing out it gave a big difference
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you!!!! You are a GREAT communicator!!! ☺☺☺
You are so welcome and thank you!
I can’t wait to try this out. I have a hard time getting through the ball. Great tip and looking forward to trying this out.
This certainly should help!
I'm going to work on this, thank you! It might also help with my shanks on the half and 3/4 shots
I think it will indeed. Let me know how it goes
The flared open left foot was first proposed in my book The Reflex Convex Swing in 2020. Back then, almost every golfer followed Ben Hogan's prescription of a 22 degrees open left foot. I had suggested that the 22 degrees left foot was blocking the downswing momentum. I suggested that the left foot needs to be turned at least 45 degrees, preferably 60 degrees or more.
I have even proposed a new movement, namely the pivot fan-slide 'frictionless' movement. This will change radically the downswing and improve the efficiency of the golf swing in the process.
I have advocated that the three core principles of the convex swing will take the golf swing to the next level. Details are all in the book, The Reflex Convex Swing.
Will try to check it out!
Learned to flare both feet 4yrs ago when I rebuilt my swing from scratch, changed how to grip the club which changed my alignment, that centered my stance and posture, and finally understood what Ben Hogan meant when he said the swing balanced him
Well done! It is easier :)
that's called playing the slice
I flare both feet and creat longer backswing and can hit draws or fades at will.

👍🏌️♂️
Awesome tip. I tried this today and it worked. I still hit a few fat shots but after a did it for awhile I started to get more comfortable and hit the ball more consistently. I was having a real problem with posting my leg as I had a couple disks removed in my back and I have a problem with turning as you can imagine. So I am going to keep ar it and with any luck and lots od work maybe I can keep playing.
Thanks so much, cheers
Excellent to hear!
Great instructions great instructor
Fantastic Tip thank you.
More than welcome and glad it’s resonated
Thank you very much for this drill Alex! 10 weeks ago I had an accident and broke my left ankle. Unfortunately, I still have a lot of pain, but the new foot position definitely helps me to be able to start playing at all. Best regards!
This is great and hope it’s healing 🏌️♂️
Thank you for this lesson. My left hip is starting to bother me when I golf. I will try your left foot out lesson and hope it will take the pressure off my hip
I love your lessons. Short, very helpful and you are very supportive and encouraging.
Thank you.
More than welcome ! It certainly should help. Also pulling lead foot back a couple of inches can do the world of good too. Have some videos on that also 👍🏌️♂️
明天去打球 迫不及待要尝试一下了❤ 之前一个中国教练的视频也这么说过,一直没有尝试,你讲的更加细致清晰。🎉
I love a simple explanation. Great tip. And as you say so easy to do. Going to try it out Thanks Alex
More than welcome and let me know how you get on
Awesome video! I’ll try this open left foot technique tomorrow
Tried this today, this works well.
Excellent 🏌🏽💪
Thanks Alex. I really needed to hear this.
Marvelous and come back to let us know how it goes
this is the most important thing!
It certainly can make a big difference
Alex another great tip .
Many thanks. 👍👍👍
Excellent! 👍🏌️♂️
Thanks for the lesson, makes a lot of sense..
Good lesson.....it works for me...
Excellent to hear!
that is amazing. Clear simply illustration.
Great! That's the goal!
Hi Alex, should we do this for all our Irons, even the wedges ?. Great content as usuall, I really like the way you explains the golf swing. Good job my fiend.
Yes! I talk about pitching and demo in video too. Certainly test it out
Great tip again Alex. This is a move I’ve been trying and it’s made a huge difference to my game.
Excellent! Keep at it
This is great stuff. Was wondering if you might have some thoughts on keeping the width of the arms through impact or swing thoughts to prevent casting.
We have several on casting… straight arm release. This one too ..ruclips.net/video/xf6PE5gCpBo/видео.html

Excellent advice

Lee Trevino was the ultimate devotee of the flared left foot. He was my childhood hero and I played my best golf of my life imitating him being a scratch golfer at 15. I quit golf for the next 25 years and took it up again at 40 and followed all the BS of the “modern swing”. What a mistake. I’ve never come close to approaching my game at age 15 but I sure can drive further. Further off course most often. This vid has convinced me to return to my roots.
Please do give it a try and let me know how you go!! We have several lessons on here and in our online club too :)
flaring the front foot also helps to keep players from overcooking the hip turn on the way back
Yes indeed and we have touched on it in other videos
@@TheArtofSimpleGolf does that help w my tendency to hook?
But if you flare to much you'll restrict your backswing! I find 20-30 degrees is about max! but it depends on individual's flexibility.
Yep
👍⛳️
Great video and exactly what I’m working on! But seem to struggle with setting up square. Flaring the foot tends to open up my lead hip at address and changes my foot alignment to the target.
Always appreciate your concise tips. Thanks.
It’s subtle. Keep at it and glad you’re with us!
This makes sense, and I am pigeon toed. So this in mind should help big time.
Let us know how it goes
Makes sense when you think of the position you put yourself in for a flop shot or bunker for example..strong stable wide open stance..you just feel like you have more control imo, well i do anyway.
Yeh valid observation 🏌️♂️💪
Great videos…. Can you make a video on aligning the club to the ball? I hit it off the toe or heel and is not consistent - thanks
Makes a lot of sense ... I tend to top the ball right at the start of my round then as I warm up and become loser and more flexible in my swing I start to hit much better golf shots
This can help that I wager
Wow.... this really works for me. Thank you.
Glad it helped!👍🏌️♂️
Glad it helped!👍🏌️♂️
When you flare out the lead foot like this do you have to slide the foot back some or no?. As always good information.
You don’t HAVE to.. but honestly… 25% or more would benefit from a slight open stance to help get through. Test it out
I’ve actually just started doing this with the driver and it’s helped tremendously. But I’ve never tried with irons or pitching. I’m excited to give this one a go, when I’m at the range tomorrow.
Oh what I would have done to have your videos in my life when I started playing this godforsaken sport 10 years ago…
Lol it’s a crazy game and it’s always a journey! Let me know how you do with the other areas of the game too
Very good reminder. TBH I thought the forward foot turned out to be a given for most players, but apparently not. Ben Hogan covers this in some detail in his Five Lessons book.
Yes it’s overlooked by many. Hope this brings more more awareness. Cheers! 🏌️♂️👍
@@TheArtofSimpleGolf I am making sure I do it. It definitely help promote that swing through the ball feeling.
Great show bro 🚩🚩🚩🤔🤔🤔💯💯💯👍👍👍 Les from Perth WA 👀👀👀
🏌️♂️⛳️👍💪
Your a great teacher
I appreciate that! Hope it helps 👍🏌️♂️
fantastic
Thank you! Cheers!
What do you think about flaring the back foot too?
A great idea too for many. It allows more freedom going back but requires faster through as longer to travel. Depends on any restrictions you may have. But test it out and we do have videos where it’s discussed.
Nice one ☝️
Cheers 👍👍
Great stuff. Thanks for sharing. In going to try this at the range tomorrow. I'm recovering from yesterday's range session. Hopefully this helps me not swing like an animal lol
Lol! Yes chill.. be precise in targets. Change clubs.. rehearse real golf
Hi Alex
How much weight do have on the front foot at adress as this is like stack and tilt
Thanks
Stan
Not sure about that 🤷🏻♂️ but irons I find most do well with 60%
Merci
De rien!
I’ll try it and let you know how it worked
How’s it gone?
Alex, will this work of your a sweeper?
Yes indeed
Great 👍
Thanks 🏌️♂️👍
Does that make it more likely you will sway off the ball?
No it shouldn’t
I had a total knee replacement 4 months ago. Will this work for me??
Left knee
It can help yes! but please if you test it, go easy and try on chips to pitch shots first
Do you give in person lessons?
Yes but rather limited availability.
Subbed 😊
Try this in the morning topman
Let us know how it goes!
How did you change your grip?
🤷🏻♂️
I've.been playing an open left foot for years now, but I still can't always get hips to drive the downswing. The question no one addresses is how to get the hips involved in the downswing. I haven't seen a video yet explaining how to CONNECT hips, shoulders and arms and swing them in the proper sequence. The key to address is the CONNECTION of the 3 pieces.
Good observations and we have some lessons in our online membership that covers that but will plan on a RUclips one :)
@@TheArtofSimpleGolf Thank you, that could make a monster golfer of every hacker out there ;)
I have been doing this for a while now and I am hitting farther than ever,at 60 my drives are 40 yards longer.
Wonderful and well done! Keep at it
Moe Norman
Lots of players do it
I flared my whole life. Made it difficult to align consistently and release the club.
That can happen.
🏆
Cheers! 🏌️♂️👍
It worked for Hogan 🏌🏽♀️
He did ok:)
