It makes sense that they converted (most of?) this transitway into a light rail line. Is this the only transitway in North America? Southeast Transitway from Hurdman to Greenboro, West Transitway from Tunneys Pasture to Dominion (even though it’s going to be converted, Transitway from Lincoln Fields to Baseline (going to be converted), and Transitway from Nepean Sportsplex to Barrhaven Centre. So basically, in a about a few years, the only Transitway left is going to be the one that stretches from Hurdman to Greenboro.
I remember In 2019 biking to tunnys then catching a bus. I actually just drive now and I love trains. I’m an actual rail enthusiast who wholesale endorsed this project but it failed so bad.

As the other guy said, Mississauga, Brampton, and York Region all have a BRT system, however non are as complex and developed as Ottawa was/is.
