I haven't tried the Presto card yet - I wasn't living in Ottawa when they first handed them out to "friends and family" - I worked in a contract position for a consulting company that did some work for OC a couple if years back - and I have knowledge of the countdown process - which is where my original anger came from. No one would even try to improve countdown, and yes - buses went out without fuel. That was infuriating.
I can't say for certain, as I don't work for OC, but I do believe the majority is done over night. I do believe some are done during the day but not as much as overnight but could be mistaken.

Sorry - OC Transpo. And it is funny that you find the Sun to be particularly hard on OC Transpo but I find the Citizen to be the most anti-OC Transpo paper in the city!

As the nap part I can't comment on that as I don't work at OC or part of the "countdown. As for buses running out of fuel again I don't work at OC so not sure why buses sometimes run out of fuel.

I would have a problem even if I had to pay full value like the regular pass holders, OH well it wqas fun while it laqsted I guess come OCT I'll be using the Prestro Card..
Lastly, I wanted to say that the people of Ottawa - including members of the press - have made OC Transpo bashing a popular pastime and I am usually the first to step up and defend them, so I must have been having a bad day when I made those negative comments.
But like you, I am a regular user of OC Transpo, and I find I am often trying to defend the majority of the good people that work there to the average citizen who, without any real reason to, have developed a deep hatred for OC Trams
chauferette specialle ..... a l"ectriciter lol , what he means is a plug it and its turns the wabasto on so the bus is burning fuel witout even moving lol !! Work CD and get gassed up by bus exhaust everyday especilly the webasto burn raw unfiltered exhaust and are not efficent due to lack of maintennce! , noticed his regen/webasto switch was not turned off ..........lol

You forgot to mention the part about the naps you countdown guys take. And, if you fuel the bus every night, why do buses run out of fuel before the afternoon rush? I've seen that happen.
Like I said I don't work for OC, so I don't know what their policy is if someone gets sick on the bus. But with Covid-19 I'm guessing they take the bus out service to do a through cleaning to prevent spread of possible Covide-19.
@@mcibus2000 puke and sick buses are sent to interior clean .... covid 19 at oc was a joke..... getting called 13 days after driving a covid possitive bus....pair of rubber gloves and a cheap 3m mask to sanitize the covid bus , not properly using and not fallowing the manufacture directions of the DR200 sanitizer for the touch points and such...
