      Last time I saw them they where parked at the old rail yard on Walkly. I'm not sure if they got rid of them or they still have them. I d know they;ve been decommisioned are last I heard whre going to be sold of gor parts & scrape.

    Very good questions from councillors but hard to get straight answers from OC Transpo. I dont think it is language barrier issue but there seems to be incomprehensible decision. OC Transpo is not very reliable and there is a trust issue. Where is the problem?

      Pre-august, trains ran in coupled pairs of Alstom Citadis Spirit vehicles that when coupled were the full length of the platform. Currently they have been decoupled and are being run as single vehicles meaning they are now half the length of the platform. As half of the platform will be empty when a train is stopped, the signs tell you where to wait to get on.

    chauferette specialle ..... a l"ectriciter lol , what he means is a plug it and its turns the wabasto on so the bus is burning fuel witout even moving lol !! Work CD and get gassed up by bus exhaust everyday especilly the webasto burn raw unfiltered exhaust and are not efficent due to lack of maintennce! , noticed his regen/webasto switch was not turned off ..........lol

      I hear yeah. Heck yje Bus shelters at Hurdman are no longer heated, the LRT Station is a joke(Design) wind, snow, rain hit open parts of thre station and where the "Heated Are" is a big JOke not closed in and the heaters are pointless, they don't really keep you warm.T he station platforms are suppose to radiant heated, not sure why they don't work.

    Too bad it didn't get built. They claimed engineering and geologic difficulties but it was just to make it cheaper so you can slip on freezing rain on the open air platforms at either end of the station

      The trains where tested a few months prior to L:ine open back 2018. The trains being tested now are for Phase 2 of Line 1. Mostly their tested late evening to over night and mostly between Cyrville & Blair stations. I'm not sure as how long each train gets tested for, that I don't know but I believe once all the Alstom trains(Phase 2)OC will have some like 60-70(single trains, not attached)by the time Phase 2 is complete. You got to remember not all trains from Letrim to the end of the line 1 will be going to the same place. the splitting point is Queensway Station once they reach the Queensway they'll split some wi; go to Moodie(Line 3), others will go to Baseline(Line 1).

    Also the one complaint I gotta make is how they made zero change with the older stations. Besides making it longer they still got those ugly old roofs and they don’t even look anything like the new ones. And as for Greenboro Station, it doesn’t even have a roof! Also most the new stations have the same design which I won’t complain about but come on. Although this video was great and I’m super exited for this to open either way :)

      Although I haven't been by all the stations on Line 2, some sre new, while others are being modified. Remember the stations aren't finished yet, work is still being done on them, so it's still possible they may change.

      @@mcibus2000 I’ve seen them all, and I’ve seen the other work on line 1 & 3, and they have a different process then most of line 2 and 4. The airport station is pretty good but Leitrim, Uplands and Bowesville Station have the same exact design except Bowesville has one roof moved to a different spot lol. But all of them are just for you to get rained on either way lol

I'm not sure as to why they never double track the entire line from Bayview to the end in the south? It doesn't make sense? From my understanding none have heated shelters as well. STUPID especially in a city where it;s freezing in the winter.

      @@jonathancameron3416 Simple answer Line 1 uses Electric powered Trains, while Line 2 uses Diesel powered trains. I'm not sure why OC never converted Line 2 to Electric powered Trains, there going to have to convert them to Electric at some point, why not start now while it's cheaper to so now instead of waiting 10 years and costing more plus another shut down of Line 2?

    The actual station (Lyon) is very different from what was proposed in this video. It's on Queen street, all three entrances are integrated into buildings, the upper level is a wide, very long room, the platforms are on either side of the tracks, and there are no safety gates.

    Wow, lot of details have changed. The actual station has the platforms on the outside, the roof is completely different, the fare gates are in a different location, and the insides of the trains are unrecognizable.

    The Presto pass is so much easier than the old bus passes. You don't have to get a photo, and you can buy the card and monthly passes online. You can even arrange to have your pass automatically renewed every month.

      True, but there always the case where you paid for a monthly pass and for what ever reason that one day when you flash your card on the bus it doesn't work. Now in 99% of the time the driver will let you pass, but you've got that 1% of druveers that will make you pay. With the old pass as long as you had that the months pass you where set.Another advadage the Prestro pass over the old one is you can share it amongest family.

    lol I wonder what happened to the store at Hurdman Station. Before the train arrived we still had our old station but the convenient store was gone for a while

      I remeber that Quikie store at Hurdman. It close way before the LRT was even though of converting the Transitway into the LRT. Was handy, yu could go in and get a pop cofffee or snacks. I guess the reason it closed was not enough customers buying things so the owner couldn't afford the rent. There a Coffe Goat or something called goat at the New LRT at Hurdman, not sure when it's going to open though?

      @@mcibus2000 What a dumb design, so your forced to switch trains then i presume to get to downtown? OC is actually a joke, remember when line 2 (the og otrain) was good? 2 trains on the line @ once, could get from end to end in 12 minutes, sometimes 11 if the driver pushed the throttle to greenboro. They had that line perfected, it would rarely go out of service, even from day 1. They took nothing from what they learnt from that line and applied it to the downtown tunnel. We where a testbed for a unproven train platform. And now we change our choice of trains again? Like how stupid is this city..... argh. Oh wait my bad this is the extension to line 2, makes sense that its diesel. But what about 6 Alston desil trains that we just bought in 2013? Let me guess, were to lazy to service them and well auction them off/ scrap them.

      @@mike.1390 Well in all honesty if your coming from the airport your going to either Orleans or Moodie you'll need to transfer twice . From Line 4 which is the Airport link, then to Line 2 which is Bayview to somewhere past South Keys don't recall the last stop. then transfer to Line 1 Orleans to Algonquin(Baseline) or Line 3 Orleans to Moodie.

      @@jonathancameron3416 According to the cities long term outlook on the transportation Plan(includes OC Transpo, road networks and housing development)the goal of the Trim Line is eventually to convert it to electric. The goal of OC is to be fully eltric(buses) I believe is 2035 or close to that not sure of the exact date. But I suspect some where from 2040-2050 all of OC buses & rail services will be fully electric. It would make more sense to convert to electric now then wait, but I'm assuming it has something to do with the present infrastructure with the present trins we have now.
