I saw Ted Williams get lots of cheers at Griffith Stadium in Washington when he drew first blood with a titanic home run off Camilo Pascual. This was in the 1960 opener. The Senators answered with four home runs and won the game 10-1, with Pascual getting 15 strikeouts.
