8:37 "so what do you do for a living?" Well, whenever lightning bolts hit the field I drive a big metal tractor across it.

BigSkyFishing what I know it’s a joke I’m just saying (sorry)
@@charlottelemerond2148 I respect you for apologizing
3:47 Okay, _that_ was badass. And the guy did it with a straight face and basically shrugged it off.. Idk how but he did. Lol.
It is his job actually, succumbing to panic is how you make mistakes; so to remain calm in the face of that is key to him being able to catch. It is badass still, just is how he is a badass.
@@Ontarianmm You really can't say that it's his job, and they can't succumb to panic when half of the guys in the dugout did just that.
Ultra Instinct.
He caught that like it was just another day at the office.

I don't even watch baseball but when he pretended to swing again for the grand slam that was hilarious!
thats not even the slightest bit funny but ok

"Now I've seen it all" - Every baseball commentator when anything mildly odd happens.
Whats going on Dr. Garcia, whats going on!?!?!?!?!?!
11:26
oh my goddd
I thought my swing was all kinds of messed up but turns out my swing is alot like his... Thank god.
When i watch baseball, i mute the sound,.
This is why we need an army of jomboy clones to cast ever game.
*Ball flies through the air, hits the bat*
Commentator: "You know, Billy-Bob, now I've seen it all!"
3:46 everyone in the dug out is dipping out of the way, meanwhile Guillorme just casually catches the bat.
It’s 3 am.... I don’t even watch baseball
Edit: it’s almost been 3 years, I still don’t watch baseball

Lol
3:21 that announcer made my day
How Segura knew those rules and acted on them in the heat of the moment is incredible.
11:45 remember when in Little league your coach said always run it out.
That's why
If he did run though the catcher would have just grabbed the ball while in foul territory to keep the runner from having a base hit. So either way the runner was screwed!!!
the future no if he ran and the catcher picked it up in foul territory then he would just go back and get another chance to hit.
the future yea there weren’t two strikes
11:41 yup😀
Except nobody ever takes it to heart...
This is why this sport is so great. It lends itself to the most amazing, hilarious, and unorthodox plays.
You can watch this game everyday for 40 years, and still not see it all.
"now ive seen it all!"
9:30 when I was little, in machine pitch baseball at my parks and rec department, I somehow managed to do this. Caught the edge of the ball perfectly and tore the stitches right off. I still have the ball somewhere in storage in my house.
"Im gonna keep my eye on the ball"🤣 that has happened to me as a catcher.
11:54, Swisher: "...Y'know, I ain't even mad."
Swish is a cool cat
Yeah I cant even blame him, that was an absolutely 1 in a zillion play
8:02 kicked started the pitchers heart.

Great video. Most compilations are just quick clips. You show the before and after action as well. Kudos-

Mom, I think this is what my coach mean’t when he said, “Keep your eye on the ball”.

I haven't laughed the way I have while watching this in a long time. That lightning one had me rolling.

The editing on this is so smooth that I like to imagine all this insanity happened in one game - one thing after another.
5:00 Just appreciate the sound of the ball hitting the bat 😍
Chuck \m/
11:32 I still can't get over how cool that pitch looks in slow motion.
The first one was so chaotic I’ve never seen that much chaos for a triple play before lol 😂
Does anyone remember a time when people were in the stands?
Absolutely ancient times
3:14 is funny af
ramen devil ikr
Can someone explain me what happened
@@Roman-kl3wk Michael Morse hit a homerun, but the Umpire originally called it in play and that he was out at the first base, so after review they realised it was actually a homerun and made him touch all the plates to complete the run, but also made him swing the bat I guess just to make sure all the motions were followed (???) Idk about that part. They just wanted him to touch all the bases for the homerun to count.
Fantomex oh okay thanks :)
Yes it is af
9:17
I only even knew that was possible from The Sandlot!
6:08; commentators:"you're glove went over the fence fowler, you'll have to wait for it."
fowler: "hold my beer" *jumps over fence and throws ball and glove back over, then comes back over himself* "gimme my beer back because i just went somewhere no mlb player has ever been before!"
Yo legit, some of these "oddities" are what make baseball so fun to watch. Like how there's always the possibility of something you never seen before happen in a game, because of the nature of the sport being so "odd", where the game is always frozen until you put the ball in play, therefore there's so many intricacies that can come up to surprise you in a game. It's crazy to think that a sport that's being played for over a century can still surprise you with something new every game. This is why I think that sport it's the best one created by men, no kidding. I love baseball.
Its not. But stuff like this is hilariously fun to watch.
Thanks for putting out good compilations that aren't 5 minutes long or changing volume between plays!
yeah its very easy to edit the volume on each clip. it annoys the heck out of me when they dont. great vid, only saw one or two of this clips in the past so it was cool to see some new ones!
GamingJ20 it's easy but takes long time. But I enjoy it when they do

This is a better kind of clip show because you actually show a good deal of the clip, not just 10 seconds.
8:16 probably one of the biggest gatherings, jump scare in history 😂
I don't even like baseball, why did I just watch this?
Nonetheless, I was not disappointed.

Because it turned up in your recommended. Did for me too. I don't understand anything about baseball.
Where is Randy Johnson clapping that bird lol
OMG Khalil I’ve never even seen a gun make a bird explode like that before haha
That poor bird smh but I’d be a liar if I said I didn’t laugh every time lol
When that happened, I laughed till I was wheezing. I couldn't breathe. I thought I was going to die. It was worse because everyone who saw it was laughing hysterically too, which just made me laugh harder.
I remember my dad told me about this and I didn’t believe him so he showed me that is the funniest thing you’ll ever see a pitcher do
It happened during spring training 2001

I was delivering pizza a few miles away from the Rangers Stadium when it struck, scared the SHIT out of me. Can't imagine the volume over there!
Players and umps scatter but then they send the field crew back on haha
Baseball is played by dogs confirmed
I can imagine all them are like REEEEEEEEEE
I was across the street from a 7-11 store when a bolt of lightning struck the 7-11 parking lot. Around 100 feet away from me!
first clip makes me happy im a die hard white sox fan and honestly most of the time the sox can be bad but they make some unbelievable plays sometimes

This is what makes baseball great not just the amazing plays but the players and the random shit that happens
That bat catch, so casual. Damn.
8:15 lightning crashes
Players: Scatter like startled mice
the reverse grand slam is probably the funniest thing i've ever seen, holy cow.
3:51 definition of nonchalant
11:40 finally reading the rule book cover to cover pays off lol
Eh? That’s a known rule...
fUn yeah
What the hell is that damn game anyway. I didn't grow up in America and i don't get anything. I have seen several baseball videos now and I still don't understand any of the rules. Why do they start to play catch all of the sudden? Why does the guy with the bat wear head protection and the guy throwing the ball, who (i'd think) is way more in danger because he is directly in front of the bat guy, not? Why are the spectators not protected? In football (or as you call it: soccer) the organizers are worried about the well being of the spectators eventhough the ball is a very light one and in baseball, where the ball is hard as a brick, the spectators seem completely unprotected.
This game is a mystery to me.
@@0TurnAround0 You don't have to grow up in America to know what baseball is
@@ronaldms5971 Yeah but the odds of knowing the baseball rules if you are not from the states are really low because the US have pretty much their own ecosystem of sports. I am from germany and i don't know a single soul that watches american football, basketball or baseball regularly. But in europe (and almost every other place on earth) people go crazy for soccer instead.
That Switch pitcher thing is amazing. Not just because the player is consistent but also because of that minor league/college game where they kept going back and forth with a switch hitter
“Step on it, pop it, stick it in your back pocket”
Love that bat catch. I remember watching that and the "Kickstart My Heart" bit live on TV. So funny.
A lot of funny things here. I love oddities/things like this. And the announcers' reactions too.
Thanks for this videos EXE, I'm from Mexico, my grandfather loved Baseball and i watched a lot of games because of him, I was always sittin' next to him and in front of a TV to enjoy every game and he teach me how to love this ball game, 5 years ago i lost him, but when I see videos like this, he return to my mind and my heart.
God bless you, Javier.
That kind of memory is the best kind. You can't buy them for any price. Have many children, and tell your grandchildren about him while you watch baseball.
Sorry to hear about that!
The first clip finally made me understand how baseball works lmao.
The dude who pressed the button for that sound at 8:02. That sounds like motley cruel Kickstart my heart.
Guillorme catching the bat one-handed at 3:46 is probably the most badass thing I've seen in baseball. It' even better that he looks completely unfazed in the moment
PS: As I comment, the next two clips come very close to proving me wrong.
You know that lighting was serious when the camera messes up
Klaper gaming I thought it was a gunshot 😂
I was at that game; it’s the loudest sound I’ve ever heard.
Sitting in Texas near the ballpark on a thunderstorm right now lol. We do have some impressive light and sound shows down here.
New ballpark will have a roof thank goodness.
1:56 The whole play was just hilarious 🤣🤣
Really enjoyed that!! Thanks for the laugh!!
3:47 This is the manliest thing i’ve seen in my life...
I remember seeing a switch pitcher versus a switch hitter. They kept switching back and forth not actually throwing the ball. This happened until the umps stopped it. Hilarious.
Ulysses432 It happended in the New York-Penn League where this same pitcher was involved.
I actually read about this is a psyche text book.
He plays in Italy national team. He pitched against Dominican republic in WBC.
vjm3, MLB now has a rule because of this. An ambidextrous pitcher must declare if he is going to pitch right or left handed, and cannot change during the at bat. The batter then chooses his side.
10:09 i like how the outfielder just walked into the guy and the suit guy fell over
"ramirez cant understand whats going on" thats how i felt this entire video

3:34 what a badass!
No flinch at all. Just like "hey look, I got a bat"
Seems like out of all sports, baseball players have the best reflexes haha
3:30 The umpire nailed it with that recovery of his failed knock
1:00 He tagged the runner a second time, and he was off the bag. He's out.
8:15
They ran so fast that it almost made me run 🏃🏿♀️ and I’m at home.
Funny part is that none of them ran fast 😂😂
Gotta love the audio guy playing "ring my bell" when the ball deflected off the catcher's mask
Bro at 10:32 the catcher should be playing for the benchwarmers
Ryan Schlichting When the catcher says just aim for the helmet..
When the scene when Ricky’s mask caches Gus’s pich
That grand slam was absolutely hilarious. Nice to get away and watch some great sports plays.
I was at that Rangers game when that lightning struck, my dad and I were 1/4 of the way up on the 3rd base line and the lightning struck the lighting right above us. It was deafening, and right after that lightning struck it started raining, and there was like a 45 minute-1 hour delay.
