High prices are a way to generate money to fund transaction to electrification. Interest rates are too high and credit is tight, so those monthly payments are becoming sky high. Average car payment is about $1000 / month. Remember, the dollar has been depreciated, and is only worth 83% as much as pre-Covid dollars.
Yeah I'm just waiting for people to default on those $1300 a month Rubicon payments so I can get one for a price a sane person could wrap their head around
A fully LOADED S needs to be $35,000 USD PERIOD, thats why Jeep cancelled the Renegade and they are now reducing loaded rubicons by $19,000 for 2023 models.......People NEED to stay together and FORCE these prices to be cut in half!
Ben, thanks for doing a review on a Gladiator Sport S rather than Rubicon/Mojave. Ideally would like a Sport S with the max tow package. I am shocked that the Sport S only has 1027 lbs of payload as configured on this truck!!! Geez. Unless I can get 1,500 lbs or so of payload, I will be taking the Gladiator off my list for purchase at the end of 2024. P.S. - thanks for always giving payload numbers during your reviews. You are one of the few that do that.
The dual brake lock differentials are plenty capable for on-road or mild off-road use. I had a Rubicon and seldom used the lockers. Brake lock differentials work great too.
I don't get this talk of the Willys and Sport costing the same. Around me, in a 200 mile radius (basically all of north Texas into Oklahoma), the Sport can be had for a good 7 grand less than the Willys.
Jeep really needs to introduce a new jeep that TRULY replaces the old willys. With all the modern tech and current economy too many are priced out of their vehicles yet. Would be nice if they made a 2 door with cost in mind to get a vehicle that is 25k-30k
Had it, sold it. Jeeps suck as daily drivers. Period, end of story. No matter how nice you option them and how good they look, if you’re in them for a couple hours a day you’ll end up wanting something else.
Why is Max Tow so elusive? Sport S should have Max Tow as standard. wtf is the use of having a pickup truck that can't pull a small trailer that a SUV can pull?
Because Colorado is a California Air Pollution state and Jeep doesn’t let dealers in those states order anything other than hybrid Wranglers. You can order non-4xe but the dealers can’t.
Should be in the high $30's to low $40's, imho. With that said, to me, this or the Willys is the perfect version of what this vehicle is all about. A local use, ranch/farm truck or for a small business. For $51k you can get into a nice Tacoma.
$51k is Rubicon territory. Jeep needs to re-evaluate their pricing. Nice video.
$51,000 is lose change now days
Its like $10,000 10 years ago
Yea they have serious issues with prices right now. No wonder they are losing sales by 30 plus percent
I checked the Jeep website and they’re actually offering below MSRP deals. But yeah, still expensive.

Jeep has lost their goddamn mind with their pricing
Toyota* lol it's a jeep , I got one with a lifetime warranty...they hold their value just like any other expensive toy.

Might sell if it was 35k but not at 51k !! 😂😂
I can’t get over the mountain views in all of your videos. I’m so jealous!! Nice review 🤝
just purchased sport, basic, 30,750, prices are coming down. Oklahoma city

With fancy price, too! I've only driven the Willy's but I think for my use (predominantly road), I'd try the Sport S.
Awesome video. Please review the green Wrangler in the background.
Excellent video and hello from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 ❤
where is the engine cover?

exactly they are not close to the same price
Air conditioning is considered an optional package? 😳
GREAT VIDEO BEN. I AGREE WITH YOU 100%.
I'm gonna wait few years for this one to drop big time or on the used market...Jeep out their minds with the pricing!
your knees are pressing up against the front seat. - descent knee space. come on
My 24 sport s didn’t come with a remote start keyfob :(

Hard to make $20,000 profit on a 25k vehicle😂
You forgot the Max Tow option!
If i was gonna ever get a jeep, it would only be that green one that is completely color matched and looks kinda like a g wagon

Nighthawk ?
Can’t find a jeep wrangler in colorado unless it’s the 4xe. Not sure why, can’t believe people would pay so much for them
they are really pushing the 4xe thats why you see it most
@@Cory69No one is buying those 4xe, that's why ur seeing alot of them sitting

@@is6566 appreciate the response. I was mystified why there are absolutely none anymore. Thx
Willys, definitely.
I'd go willys in 2024
The pricing is the biggest obstacle to buy them and second is the depreciation value 😢
No Max Tow Package, Sport S lost its purpose!

I love you.
Terrible stance. Geo Metro tires. Plain everything. What exactly is worth 51 Thousand dollars here?
Jeep is sniffing glue.
That's why they aren't selling. Prices are crazy.
Can you talk any faster...great review but slow down😢😢
DE REGULATION.
I want to like this vehicle but it's way overpriced. It does look very similar to the 1991 Toyota Land Cruiser Pickup. I'd rather have the Toyota.
1000 lbs of payload is shamefull, 5 adults in the car and you cant even put grocery bags on the bed...
Sport s is 1800lbs👌
@seanwise781 no it's not, is 1100 lbs
Jeeps are over priced!!
Who is buying that?!?!
