      Thanks again Owen. There's a truly great reason behind the name of my channel and the end of each video.. One day I will make a short video of it.. Can't wait for a package to arrive this week from Accelerated Technologies, Motorsports Suspension specialists. Going to be installing a Dual Rate Spring kit for the front and the rear skid along with the adjustable limiter strap. Stay Tuned Buddy.

    Did you find the skid plate gave it extra flotation in deep snow?

    • @SometimeIsNow
      @SometimeIsNow  2 месяца назад +1

      Hey Mat,
      Thanks for stopping to check out the video. Honestly I couldn’t answer that question as I’ve never ridden off trail in the deep powder.. I installed it mainly for the added protection from frozen ice clumps that I could possibly hit on the trail.
      Take Care 👍🏼

    That rivet gun is real handy. Good video.

      Hey.... Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate the comments and support. 👍🏼 Yes it is.. If you’ve ever had to install some of those steel shafted rivets on a skidoo, it’s well worth the money 😁

      @@SometimeIsNow I hear you! I installed a set of rock sliders on my Defender and had to do a pile of 3/16's rivets with a hand tool. After that I switched to air!

    On my 18 the front predrilled holes under the bumper already have rivits in there ? Why would this be if a skid was never on it ?

    Do you find that snow gets up in between the skid plate and the belly of the machine and freezes causing issues with your suspension?

    • @SometimeIsNow
      @SometimeIsNow  2 года назад +1

      Hey Steven, Thanks for stopping by to check out the video. I personally haven’t had any issues at all with icing in between the skid plate and the belly. Although the sled never sits outside for any length of time. Each day after I ride the sled it comes home and goes in a heated garage until the next ride. Even if I’m going to ride the following day I always put it in the garage that night to thaw out so I can look it over before I ride it again. Take Care.👍🏼

    I thought that skid plate came with two screws and clips as well

    • @SometimeIsNow
      @SometimeIsNow  2 года назад

      Hey tackdriverCA, Thanks for stopping by the channel. You are correct. It did come with those but I didn’t use them. I had extra rivets and washers so I just used them. 👍🏼 Take Care.

    Can you get washers on all the rivets up in the nose under the intercooler by just removing the side panels or did you take the hood/headlight off?

    • @SometimeIsNow
      @SometimeIsNow  4 года назад

      I already had the hood removed because I had items to install that required the hood off. It made it very easy to get to the four front nose rivets to place the washers on. I just went out and removed the right side panel and looked in there for you to answer this question. If you have long, smaller size arms you might be able to reach over the muffler through a small area behind the intercooler hose and reach the rivets to place the washers on the four front rivets.. If I was going to install the skid plate without removing the hood I'd try reaching through and getting it that way first. With a few tricks ( extendable magnet as seen in this video and long needle nose pliers) that might get you what your looking for. All else fails you'll have to remove the hood. Thanks for watching my videos.

      @@SometimeIsNow thanks for the reply! I went to the trailer and looked at the sled and I think taking the hood off is the way to go!

    You need to get rid of the plastic bushings on the A arms too.

      Hey Norm, Thanks for stopping by the channel and watching the video. Price wasn’t to bad.. I think it was $250 for the bare tool as I already have batteries. We can’t put a price on convenience can we. 😁 Take Care 👍🏼
