    I never knew this kit existed, thanks! As of 08/02/2024, the gearbox is $250.00 now, but still think it's a worthy upgrade. I always have trouble with the chain drive on my 47 blower, so it looks like this is the ticket! It is also very common for the blower shell to crack around those 3 bolt holes that the main shaft goes thru due to torque stress. Since this gear case has the 4 bolts around the frame too, that should spread the load and prevent cracks or stop cracks that have already happened from getting worse. I will definitely be getting this kit for my 47 blower and replace all the bearings too. Thanks for posting this!

    Thanks for the video! Followed step by step. Also needed to use a couple of tips from other commenters. First was removing the bolts from the middle auger brace, then removing 2 bolts from each end of the auger. Leave the top bolt to allow the auger to pivot enough that the carriage bolts behind the impeller drop out, without having to move the whole auger. Also had to lay the blower face down to get the gear case to move enough so that I could insert the 4 bolts securing the gear case. Used a chain hoist to make it easier to wrestle around the blower.

    I'm already itching for snow and we aren't even halfway through June! I think we got barely 300 miles on this past winter! Riding on Tug is fun both seasons for sure. One thing nice about going in summer is that you can see where there are potential water holes. I'm seriously thinking about buying land up that way in the near future for a camp. How often do you camp in your motorhome? How about some camping videos!!

    • @SometimeIsNow
      @SometimeIsNow 4 месяца назад

      Hey Adam, Oh Yeah.. I can feel the cold fall breeze now just around the corner. 😁 Not getting to ride any miles this past winter was a first for me. I figured I’d get another ATV just in case next winter is worse than the last one. We actually camp quite a bit in the motorhome and on occasion I post photos to instagram of our stay. We mostly stay at the larger RV Resorts with concrete pads. I’ve recorded aerial footage in the past from different RV Resorts we’ve stayed at showing the sites from above. I sold my drone last summer due to all the new and upcoming restrictions from the FCC They require adding a transponder to it now so it was time to sell and move on. Last camping season I recorded some footage walking around campsites showing some of the better ones but never uploaded the footage. 🤷🏼‍♂ Maybe I’ll do a video or two this summer highlighting where we’re staying. Take Care bud and stay safe. 👍🏼

    I do mine annually right after summertime as I don't use it nearly as much in the winter so usually about 150+ hours on it when I do it. When I first got it I did the 50 hour then I did it again at 150 hours and I've kept around that 150 hour mark since. It's a great little tractor, does way more than it was designed to do so it is worked hard but I make sure everything is greased well constantly (I use Superlube Grease) and air filter is cleaned and checked weekly and the most important is the radiator screen I clean that sometimes a couple times a day if I am brush hogging but generally clean it when I am done with it for the day. Haven't had any issues with it, it fires right up and does what I ask it to do which saves my back LOL! Great video, John Deere should pay you to use it for people buying a new one.

    • @SometimeIsNow

      Thanks for stopping by to watch some videos. It’s appreciated. I don’t put many hrs on little johnny in the summer months unless I have a small project around the house here and there. All the hours mostly came from winter snow blowing but the past two winters I’ve only used it 2 times each season. I just looked the other day when I was moving some dirt and there’s not even 100 hrs on my tractor yet. lol I do make sure the air filter and radiator filter screen are always clean and clear. I change the oil and filter every season no matter what. Some would say it’s a waste but I say it’s cheap engine insurance as diesel oil gets dirty much quicker and contaminated with diesel fuel and soot due to the higher compression engine so I change it every season. Wouldn’t that be great to have John Deere pay me to drive their tractors.. 😁 I would love that. 👍🏼 Take Care and Think Green !!

    So disappointed you couldn’t do any Maine snowmobiling videos this year! Really enjoyed watching your Maine trips! They had a really bad snow year! Maybe next year! Keep up the great videos! 👍🏻🇺🇸

      I’m with you Jeeptjx !! Very disappointed with last winter. I put zero miles on for the first time ever. Even up in Maine was a let down. Definitely next season we’ll get back up there when winter gets back to somewhat normal. Thanks for stopping by to check out the video. Take Care 👍🏼

      Thanks Jeff, Seeing how I didn’t ride one mile this past winter on the sled I figured I’d get a summer toy to keep me busy other than the motorhome. Had a great time Saturday. Felt good to get back out on a wheeler and get dusty. lol cough cough..😂 Take Care

      @@SometimeIsNow I know how you feel. I only rode about three miles in the ditch. Not good conditions at all but I did get fresh gas run through. I plan on riding a lot this winter. Take care!

    My suggestion. I can't watch a 38 minute video. My suggestion is to cut out everything other than the repair or procedure and fast forward through anything repetitive. Intros can't be longer than 3 seconds.
