The Dupont slides are amazing. This year is my first time using them and my sled rolls so easy now. No friction at all. Thanks for getting me on the Vespal train Greg.
👍🏼 No problem buddy.. You’ll never have to change them for as long as you have that sled.. You’ll be on to your next sled and the next owner will be enjoying them. 😁 They’re definitely worth the extra money. Stay warm 🥶
Hey Mikey Mike, Yeah.. I'm getting much older and any tool I can buy to help ease the work load is well worth the money. They came out pretty easy because they were new.. Sometimes they don't slide out that easy, not even with that slide hammer. 😁
@Sometime Is Now 😅😂🤣 Not only will I be using this for my next slid change out... but also for some of those stubborn a** carterpins at work 😄 I'm down here on the Island... going to have to make it a point to head north to check out some of the ridding up there... I've spent the last decade ridding in NH.
Another well done training video. I was looking to order a pair of the slides with the vespel inserts, but couldn’t find any in stock for my Ski Doo 137” track. They are pricey, what’s you opinion on them after some use. Any noticeable much difference? You sure do have some nice tools, snap on torque wrenches and cool slide hammers.
My opinion on the Vespal slides is, they’re amazing and well worth the money. I’ve installed them on my last 3 sleds and once you install them, you can forget about them. My ‘18 Renegade X 600etec that my buddy Mark bought from me for his son-in-law to ride when he’s in town has almost 8,000 miles on now with the original Dupont Vespal slides and Mark says they’re still like new. That’s saying something. They’re pricey for sure but if you keep a sled for 3-4 years of more you’ll never replace them again.
Hey Thanks Tristan, and thanks for stopping by to watch the videos. I went with the Hurricane Performance Flasher, Cluster Flash Bundle (225, 240 & 270hp) and also added the Closed Loop System . I should be doing a video on the whole process soon. I’ve been riding but now there’s a warm up coming so I’ll have some downtime to be able to edit some videos while I wait for the cold & snow to come back. THINK SNOW ❄❄
@@davemiller9068 Give Ingles Performance a call. 315-598-7422 My buddy just bought a set. He said they just got some in stock. $100 each. Don’t know how long they’ll last. 😉👍🏼
Hey Zeppid, Welcome to the channel and thanks for watching. Yes, The Yamaha Sidewinder is the same and takes the identical slides but…. Yamaha discontinued making Dupont slides and you probably wont find them anymore. Arctic Cat now makes the exact slides called Tiger slides and you can get them at this Country Cat link: www.countrycat.com/arctic-cat-8639-422-tiger-slide-wear-strip-121-165-inch Take Care and THINK SNOW ❄

Hey Big Murph, I've had them on my last 4 sleds and once I install them, I never have to deal with them again. They last that long.. Well worth the extra money. They're getting harder to find now. Cheers !
Hey Garth, Do you have too much play in your throttle? My Service manual says this: (Adjust the throttle cable tension by turning the jam nuts in the appropriate direction until 0.030-0.060 in. (0.75-1.5 mm) free-play exists in the throttle lever and the butterfly completely opens and closes. Tighten the jam nuts securely.)

By the way... Great video as usual 👍🏼

@@jamesvitale7132 Oh nice, we were looking at riding in Pittsburg NH last season but needed up going to Eagle Lake ME instead.
@Sometime Is Now I've been going up there for a long time! Been riding that whole region. Absolutely love it! Ever want to meet up... let me know 👍🏼
Great Video! Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you and yours Chris 👍🏼
Great job,but it would be nice to have a helper with you. ☃️👍👍
Hey Bruce, My helper was inside hanging with the wife. He🐶wasn't interested in the slides project.🤣

Yeah, Good luck aye… The Skidoo ones have been on back order for months. What’s nice about the Cat ones is Yamaha has them too . 😁 Take Care

Where did you get the vise grip slide hammer?

did you have the tension backed off the track ?
Hey Benny, Thanks for stopping back. No I didn’t back the tension off, I didn’t need to as they slid right out with the slide hammer. 👍🏼
