What happened to all the old landmark strains, the real strains that have taste not just looks and smell. The industry has been stolen by big corporations and government. It was just way better with prop215, prop64 needs to be abolished.
Strains are more flavorful than ever. What you’re experience is commercial mids. I’ve worked at commercial grows where broken buds dried on the plant (during flower under light and heat) tasted better than the product cured in darkness. They don’t cure it right and they quick dry. Those $65 eighths you see aren’t overpriced. You’re paying for their time and effort to deliver a solid product. Spend more and you’ll get more my man.

@@TonyisToking I smoke teds buds, that’s the only vendor that i can think of having good taste but still nothing like what we were getting from 1995-2010. Especially the OG’s, today’s OG’s is garbage and by the way California’s weed industry is crashing, from the SFGATE. We were far of better back then.
Tony’s right ^^ it’s out there but people are swayed into thinking dispensaries have the best since they’re tested and have funding for operations, IMO it really comes down to caring about the plants a bit more than a huge warehouse fullll of plants would that are grown for pure profit reasons. They want a lab result that says 30%, not flower the consumer actually enjoys and benefits from.

Has anyone found good skunk lines? we had super skunk in late 80s from a California who brought it to Australia but we lost it, haven’t found anything close to that smell and taste since.

I read it on SFgate the industry has gone downhill with these new so called strain. Today’s weed doesn’t have taste it is nothing but garbage and stolen by the government and big corporations. 20 years ago cannabis was way better also they had real that real Moroccan hash. It is all gone in 2024.
Michigan grows mostly cultivars bred in California. Michigan had a small legacy breeding scene but was nothing compared to what was going on on the west coast. Idk if you caught it… but this is about genetics, not sales.
Sales are lower in California because everyone has a fat stash.
