Happy we got someone to accept it. I tried to get a different facility in Maryland before 2024 but Corporate wouldn't have it so at least SunMed knew to get involved and they're ascending from where they were in 2022.
I just wanna know why all this legal weed is such low quality and so much more expensive than street weed was. Sour Diesel outta North Philly was best bud I had circa 2012. It was $400 an ounce and if you rolled up an entire gram you'd be high for 8 hours straight. Shit got you high every time too! No tolerance breaks needed! And allegedly was only 17% THC
As someone who lives about 20 mins from SunMed and has been consuming their products for years, all i can say is great episode! Thank you for spotlighting a small county in Maryland, making a mark on the cannabis industry.

People like me opened the door for you guys. Humboldt County right here. Generations. Non-Violent Offenders pushed the envelope over the edge and forced the issue of legality.
Up the hill from Maryville,there are generations of the old gold miners that still have their original crosses of exotic land based strains genetics that went to Holland years ago and now back for these folks to play with
They don't care about us or the culture. They're cashing in. Risking our asses decades to the right thing and in the end even after we win we get fucked over.
We did it with Love in our hearts and worked with the best of the gardeners from the multi-generational families in the area. I had about 20 years under my belt, and then someone that was filled with envy and jealousy decided that well, maybe he could use me to get himself out of whatever trouble he had gotten himself into. I am 100% at fault for letting it happen. At least the next gen has been able to carry the torch without some of the issues that we had to deal with. The issues are still there, but it's more accepted now as an actual medicine compared to times of past. Good luck to you all.
We met some dope, passionate growers in the Maryland scene. We didn't realize how established that state is on the cultivation and genetics end. Growers across this country keep impressing us. I don't think we'll ever run out of content to film CannaCribs episodes 😎👊

They're allowing us to apply for Micro license pretty soon.
Hopefully when the next round comes we'll get to represent the Mom and Pop operations! That'll be a milestone for the "Apothecary market" in recreational businesses. Maryland has a huge Farmer community which can get as prestigious as Michigan because of the diversity from Western Maryland and the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Such a successes are a homage!

Damn, this reminds me of when I worked in a canning and bottling facility. All that's missing is the cannabis and fork lifts.
I know a 74 year old hippie that lives in a semi truck trailer. The most beautiful and impressive weed ive ever experienced was his own strain. It was called "Old Noodles". He has his reasons. And i don't nessecarily understand that. Anyway,.....his yield was the fattest id ever seen. He wrapped the hung chops with wax paper. Not sure why. Dont care. Its so purple its black. Similar to Afg. Cush. But way darker. His green make the the strongest edibles ive EVER. Dude lives up in the Appalachian mountains here in Townsend TN. Gotta hike to get him. A one day hike to be specific. But sooooooo worth it.

Somehow it made me sad as well. Imagine when it goes legal federally. They spent 100 million on this facility. Imagine what big tabaco can do. A lot of mom-and-pop shops are going to go out of business. And the marijuana quality is going to become like a whopper or big Mack. For lack of a better analogy.
If people are using cannabis consciously and set that as the way to interact with the medicine, then the big companies cannot just kill the little guy.
People have to recognize value over price.
A look at industrial agriculture reveals the issue behind large corporations who made large delivery promises to retail stores and people who bought the worse version due to ignorance
It's what all old weed smokers feared.. The man running the marijuana industry. Taxed to high heavens.. It's McDonald's of weed.

I know how I tried getting 1 back in the beginning need $1.5 million for permits and applications plus another million for bribes.

I'm 38 and been smoking since 14 when I had to page my dealer from a payphone and buy a ten sack to roll a swisher up between me and the homie. Anyhoo just joints and dabs and eddies now,,,I just can't believe where we're at with concentrates and flower!?and eddies😮 It's amazing and I'm continuously amazed at shit that's getting put out for us to enjoy. It's definitely the golden age of being a pot coneuseur.

I’m in California when you were 14 that was the best time in the industry and the quality was way better, today the elite corporate industry has taken over and driven the private mom&pop shops that had the best quality out of business. It’s not about THC percentage it’s about the taste, yeah the weed looks good and smell but the taste is not there anymore.

You missed the point, the idea behind automation isn't for people to lose jobs, its so that companies can offer more competitive pricing to the end user. @@CannaCribs lol I get the point but that doesn't mean people will not lose jobs to automation, however, I did seem to miss that those people now have jobs in other areas (which I applaud). Please make no mistake tho, most companies will not be moving their employees to other areas as automation takes over. This world will look far, far different in another 10 years, and not in a good way. I guess Im glad my flower will be cheaper tho!

I'm not a fan of additives in Marijuana. Especially if they aren't ORGANIC. All I water my plants with is Molasses, Onion Peel and Banana Peel water :( ... And all landrace strains that I've collected over 20+ years. I can't smoke anything dispensary or that comes in fancy packaging. The chemical smoke isn't for me :(

I actually got to walk through this facility when it was just about to open…think it was fall/late 2017…it really is something to see…it was still being built out but he had the very first plants growing already…very cool

I think he might be talking about the people that were cultivating cannabis and were persecuted by the police, court systems.. Most of these licensed facilities through out the US people can now cultivate cannabis "legally" but only after this billion dollar industry.. people are still incarcerated in the US for just having cannabis on their possession..

Im 46 smoked since i was 12 indoor weed is ok but ive never smoked more dank weed than outdoor since the big indoor grows started when shit gets corporized its never the same the tastes have changed
