- Welcome back to Civ 6 Gathering Storm! I'm playing as Pachacuti of the Inca, on a standard size fractal map and immortal difficulty, with all enemies being Gathering Storm leaders. Thanks to Firaxis and 2K for providing an early copy of Civilization 6 Gathering Storm.

"I haven't really noticed *that* many disasters, even with them on maximum"
Civ 6: "I got you, fam"
COAL?! That is so anti-Marbs playthroughs. Biggest bug yet to be fixed!
Settle north west of your capital near the barbarian camp, when you eventually destroy the camp. There will be some amazing terrace farms there and it will help you be more defensive against mali
*Mali casts the Flood spell*
Free City is definitely free now. Free from mortal burdens.
I am really enjoying this playthrough!
you can get +7 science for campus at OLLANTAYTAMBO City by replacing the north stone quarry.
Have to admit, i did not care for Civ 6 vanilla, but these playthroughs are making me nostalgic. Real talk: Thanks marbz, I was able to beat Deity Civ V because of you, best of luck in 2019
+7 campus spot in the northern city... I wonder if he will find out.
Lol. I am late to watching this one but in my Inca game I took out hungry as my first foe. Really love Inca for fast growth to powerful production.
Damn I wish this wasn’t a year ago I could tell you about the aqueducts and terrace farms!
Thanks!
if you build terrace farms around the volcano and buy the volcano tile it will be +2 production +4 food.
"I need money for Otter things."
keep the LP going, we want more
No Coal Hype has been negated thanks to a bug!
Maximum disaster! (would also be a good metal band name)
That unlucky flood. Mali could've taken the city with the scout.
In my current game, i've had almost NO disasters in my entire territory despite having disasters on max, been so lucky xD
Also playing as Scythia, getting 2 cavalry per unit you build/buy, and extra damage against wounded units, and healing 30 upon killing a unit is so OP i love it *xD* I've been spending entire wars rushing light cavalry deep into enemy lands pillaging literally EVERYTHING in their lands, then running out, healing, and offering peace. Their whole empire in tatters, 50 turns to recover.
It's almost worth more in terms of damaging / delaying your opponents, if you pillage every district and improvement in their lands, than taking 1 city off them (and almost losing your army doing so, if they have walls and an encampment).
Yeassss a logical proper playthrough u are a rarity
Man I was really looking forward to the no coal hype :(
Could have bought that north western mountain and made an actual useful tunnel lol
I was thinking the one that has the word Andes on it, yeah.
Man... I'm a newcomer to Civ and due to this prehistoric PC, only playing 5. Before this, I've only seen another new player tackle 6 and this is.. an experience. It's all weary useful, even though some things don't apply to 5, but the amount of information pr. min. is kinda overwhelming.
I'm not a regular here, but compared to watching you play an unfamiliar game, this is such a gear shift.
Chris East Marbozir also has done wonderful Civ 5 playthroughs that you can watch, they are SO helpful and entertaining. :-)
@@Maren617 Yah, caught up here, well except the new one and found some of the 5 playlists.
If you're interested in educational content on this game I recommend PotatoMcWhiskey and Hadrian who both have some fun beginner-friendly playlists.
Cool game. What is the name of the map?
Is episode 3 going to be called "I don't think so, buddy." ?
The Avenger at Ilipa who you calling buddy, friend?
@@nicholasmays4257 He is not your friend guy!
Good.
Does Gathering Storm have some graphical improvements? Your game looks nicer than mine, and I play at max settings. Or do you have a mod?
Kevin Davidson It did improve both graphics and performance for me when I bought it, which is pretty neat. :-)
I can't tell if the title is referring to the blocking of the Hungarian settler or Geneva blocking your scout. Maybe both.
@Marbozir > Dude not all volanoes are about you.. sometimes they're about Crete or Krakatoa! :O
Is there a part #3 coming?
I wonder if the city would not have flipped if he put the Limitanei policy
Just a question, why do you put your cities so close together?
I had to switch because he was ignoring the qhapaq nan which solved all his problems
My only question is do you enjoy the Game or is it mediocre for you
sweet child of mineeee... oh, sorry, wasnt it supposed to be a guns 'n roses song?
No coal hy--
It's unbelievable how many bugs happen in Civ VI. It should be so simple being a turn-based game - their code must be as messy as hell to have got so much wrong.
The one with the coal visible is probably because of the terrace farm replacement, obviously you have to put plenty restrictions in the code when there are different unique Civs replacement. But still, I would think this one is easily fixible though.. to make it not visible.. I would say it sort of like a little slip..
@@patryklewandowski2099 I don't understand how those kinds of slip-ups can happen. You can build in for flexibility by having a "can see coal?" variable, which for most is switched to "yes" only when you get Steam Power. There are so many small things like this that it feels they must have really hacked it together in places.
This is an early pre-release build, I don't have that bug in the release.
its really unfortunate that the ai isnt good enough to nuke that city that had no hp but is dumb enough to sacrifice its scout onto a spearman
2009worstyearever Barbarian AI is dmber than regular AI, they just suicide into your units quite often.
M, Why not settle to the north of Gyor? That would have helped your loyalty and you in Gyor and you would have gotten the iron.
Also, I usually do open borders early as this builds favor with the other guys. Though you do play on higher level than me!
I think Marb doesn't do it because of trauma from civ5 with civs walking all through your borders and blocking you. In this case he didn't have to worry about that because Sweden was really far from him so its just free positive diplomatic relations.
@nfzeta, that sounds like a good reason. But this is Civ 6. First impressions are important and that early gaining of their favor really helps in the later game, unless you are going on an attack spree.
@@iamspamus8784 I know, I don't disagree, I'm just telling why Marb almost never does it.
i noticed you are manually targeting units the hard way. try selecting the unit and simply right click on the target whether its an archer catapult or melee it will attack from the right click. so many less clicks for you
or press the hotkey "B". sometimes right clicking can make the unit to move and that is a pain
i hate humanity dose that make me racist
