- Welcome back to Civ 6 Gathering Storm! I'm playing as Pachacuti of the Inca, on a standard size fractal map and immortal difficulty, with all enemies being Gathering Storm leaders. Thanks to Firaxis and 2K for providing an early copy of Civilization 6 Gathering Storm.

About the mountain rangen you said you can do nothing about, you can build your special mountain pass improvement to send your units from one entrance to the next, right under Preslav.
A gentle eruption would be like the one Hawaii had last year.
A violent eruption would be like Mt St Helens in the 80's or Pompeii. They are known as pyroclastic events.
"There is a volcano, so, it's a pretty good spot for a city". Yeah... You should call it Pompei.
Holy crap, a +8 campus??? Science FTW!
There was also a +6 at the left choke point to Musa ...i probably might have taken that. Don't like to raze production tiles...
I didn't think I could fall in love with an accent but now I certainly fell deeply
Lol @ "gently obliterated by lava". No need to worry about being burned to death by a less than optimal amount of lava.
"why do you hate science?" great quote
I'm just here screaming at the screen to get some luxuries.
One of the things that they need to fix ASAP is world congress coming into play if all the players in the map have not met/become aware of eachother. It should just like what it was in civ 5. I mean seriously, how can you go into World congress sessions repeatedly with an empire who you never meet or bother to know of?
or It would make sense that at the first congress you are aware of all the opponent and there capital location
If they meet each other It would make sense they present each other.
They should make it so that World Congress begins when everyone knows at least one other person and the sum of those people know everyone. Then everyone will meet everyone with basic diplomacy, and whoever the World Congress convened around, i.e. who introduced the most, would get a Diplomatic Favor bonus.
I disagree completely. You clearly dont play on huge maps, sometimes u can go to modern age without meeting the last civ. The fact that World Congress (and emergency meetings) can happen even with unmet civs is a GREAT thing, because it means that even in your own little isolated continent, you can have diplomacy and congress gameplay start early.
If you're stuggling to decide whether to stay at war or not, don't forget that the longer you're at war with a player, the more they spend their production on units. If you kill those units, your opponent is essentially consuming multiple turns of production for nothing. In addition, Mali builds slower, so not only will they throw units at you in a slower and more piecemeal fashion, they might also waste gold and faith purchasing units you then kill.
You're driving me crazy with not destroying that barb camp.
Capital settled next to a volcano, that is gonna be so brutally handicapping the rest of the game to have -3 pop randomly on eruptions. I'm sure you will do well in the game anyway, but imagine how much better things would go without that handicap? xD
_"Challenge mode, i'm too good at the game. Settle capital next to a volcano!"_ xD
Edit: 22:50 LOL Preslav, i just noticed it's next to two volcanos. Good luck Preslav.
Can't you use your workers to build mountain passes?
I'm not sure how exactly it works.
I thought the same thing! Would be funny if he could just move 1 tile away from mali's city immedatiately after declaring war
They showed you could build them outside of your territory in the first look and livestream, so unless that was changed later you should be able to.
@@FIamestalker Yeah you can, with the builder he captured from Mali, at one point I saw he could build the Qhapac-Nan or whatever's it's name
Yeah, he's not taking full advantage of the Inca. :/
"Gently obliterated by lava" you make me laugh out loud a lot Marbs
You could have got some gold by clearing out that barbarian camp. Would also get rid of the annoying barbarian raids, 2 for 1 deal, not sure why you didn't prioritize that.
And era score. Getting one or two points from a golden age is the worst possible score, you get the same penalties from getting a golden age (namely, the increase in cost for the next normal age) and none of the benefits.
I hate how the era score ignores the extra points from the previous era. Anything above the target score is just wasted
@@Monochromicornicopia Ignores? No, no, it doesn't ignore them at all: each extra point you get makes it *harder* to get a normal era later on.
Im in looooove with you and your videos!
If he got the money ge can buy the 2 forest tile toward mali and take control of the choke point with a encampement would help a LOT for the future war.
When he'll be back!
Looks like you could have built some unique unit's. I think the The War'aq starts with logistics (an extra attack), is a bit stronger than the skirmisher, and it is a ranged unit. Not sure when you unlocked it, but I saw it on one of the screens when you were building the swordsman or something like that.
Good guy Mansa Musa, donating all of that experience to Marbz' units.
u can build one or more farms at grasslands to get the boost easily :) great LP
I am sure you read this kind of comment like all the time, but: I love you accent. :D
Greatings from Germany!
15:22 Christina picked Great Writer as target, not Great Scientist. I think it firsts sums up the total votes for option A or B (enhance or block), then decides the target by who got the most votes from that group.
By the way you can settle near to Mansa in the mountains. There is a lot of mountains and a lot of food and work. Mountains will give you a lots ot work you can use for warriors to beat him.
eruptions... eruptions everywhere... (insert meme here)
Hey Marbz, you are a cool guy. Much love from a fan
Marb, you are one cunning strategist... 😁👍🏻
Why doesnt Marbs build a tunnel to that Mali city?
Wait.. the Ottomans were getting 6 great scientist points per turn and voted against it??
Not surprising. Look at what Britain is doing to itself now
Did the launch update improve the game?? I see a lot of AI patch notes but not sure waiting for your input on that. On the fence on buying this expansion. Great vid Marbs!!!
In a previous upload he talked about how the AI did not improve with the new expansion.
Firaxis added additional post-launch patch notes almost immediately...I think he is asking about those changes. Would be interested in your take on them, Marbs!
@@crippletimeI thought the update came out like this morning?? So marbz is playing that ver of the build I assume?
The update to strategic resources is worth the expansion. It makes way more sense now
Flavour fail having Christina of Sweden hate science :P
I don't think she hated science. She hated the idea of others using GS to catch up to her in science.
*makes friends with people.
OK! Can we get some money!?
I dislike that they add simple mechanics. Not because I dislike the mechanics, but because they should already be in the game. It is hard not to compare it with Civ 5 when ideas are constantly scalped.
Why would you leave that Barbarian camp so long without dealing with it?
With them out of the picture you could have pushed on Mali much quicker and harder.
You did destroy one of his cities remember, pretty good reason for him to still be mad at you.
Was your last upload with the Maori a one-off?
NOOOOOOOOOOOO the title of this video was almost amazing (see comment from episode 2)
26:56 I really hate when i have a city under siege and stupid barbarians pop up. That's always annoying. Specially in high difficulty levels. I've lost the chance of capturing a city just because that red colored asses feel like droping by.
you know the ai still sucks if you win pure domination turn 200 on deity. nice game :D 1 game with maori and now iam bored for ever:D
Marcel Rost Challenge yourself with a pacifist playthrough - makes the game much much harder since the AI mostly sucks at war, but not so much at other things.
Am I the only one who renames my capital "Wakanda" when playing as an African Civ?
Yes

Still first lol
