750 is crazy I agree. But this is sold for around $250 most of the time. At $250 it's not a bad buy. Yes it's still too expensive but you will feel the quality of it.
I've done it. I bought Amber oud by Roja Dove. I only wear it about once or twice a year for special occasions so more than likely the 100 mil bottle will last me for the rest of my life. It's all just liquid jewelry basically. You wear what makes you sparkle
I actually really like Just Jack . I bought it for 3.5 bucks ( Bulgarian lev ) from Notino . I assume they put wrong price . It gets me a lot of compliments but it’s bad in hot weather
As far as Fierce is concerned, I will say that DNA has pulled in more compliments for me in like 15 years than any other. I've had women from ages 18 - 40s absolutely adore it. The only other kind of fragrances that have given me this kind of broad appeal are aquatic freshies, and as most of you know none of those are terribly memorable, but they are safe. I was never able to replicate that with Mont Blanc Legend or other clones. There is one exception to this, and that would be DUA's Fierce Attar. It projects and has longevity similar to the original early 2000s Fierce. I have smelled it side by side with a bottle of vintage 2007-2011ish Fierce, Fierce Intense, and current formula Fierce and it is definitely worthy. I suggest checking it out of you enjoy this DNA.
I bought Nautica Blue as a cheap "gym" fragrance. I sprayed it once and it's been in the back of my closet ever since. I kind of want to give it away but honestly I'd feel bad to whatever friend I'd give this to.
that no1 when i smelled it the first time... i swear i was shocked as to how accurate they got the "old money" vibe... if old money was a fragrance it'd be no1
I bought Dunhill Desire Blue back when it came out in 2002. I agree, it was OK smelling, but very synthetic. Kind of a typical late 90's young men's fragrance. I used up my bottle and never bought a replacement.
Polo blue for me was a banger..but black overshadowed it...I am referring to back in the day... náutica blue was a purchase because I like the original náutica by náutica....but I agree with this vid
Armani He/Lui isn't the most ground breaking fragrance but it is an easy like and certainly doesn't deserve to be in this 'Worst Mens Fragrances' list at all in my opinion
Yes, I think that "dubious choices" or "Think Twice" would be a better title than "worst fragrances". Armani fragrances are never cheap. So, I think think there are better choices for the amount you will be being under the Armani name.
I have the armani HE and has gotten me complements... it works well at the office and just casual occasions. It shouldn't be in this list. It's a classic 👌
I bought a Nautica Blue after the holidays for $7.00 only. It's cheap and smells cheap. However, I did get compliments (from strangers, and mostly women) more than some of my Tom Ford private blend line fragrances. Weird!
Haven't encountered Lagerfeld for Men but I own Bois de Vetiver and honestly I really like it. It's a very rose-heavy scent which I imagine would be very polarising for a men's scent but it's certainly quite unique in that respect and still comes across as quite masculine. Performance isn't great but what can you do.
Bois de Vetiver smells great. I put it up to Guerlain Vetiver, Daniel Josier Vetiver, Montale Red Vetiver, Mancera Vetiver Sensuel and I preferred it to most of them.
It’s a shame about the Karl Lagerfeld for Men because Lagerfled’s mid/late 80s KL Homme remains one of the most amazing fragrances I have ever encountered. Citrus, florals and amber curated with dry and soft woods. It was my first exposure to smokiness in a scent and stands on top of all amber/smoky scents I have experienced since.
I absolutely ADORE Bois de Vetiver, it's fresh, well bended, and very comforting. Karl New York Mercer Street is my all time favorite Karl Lagerfeld fragrance. I get so many compliments with this one! It's a gem and totally "signature worthy"
My small collection I like to see what I have that you recommend. I currently have Natica, I think I bought it 9 or 10 years ago. I have owned Fierce and Polo B. I also used to date a lady who sold Avon so I have about 3 different Avons in my collection oh well
Yeah, the number of Fierce clones may be the nearest in count to Aventus - along with Bleu de Chanel. It seems like even most designer houses now have a "clone" of at least two of those three, and Invictus is in the changing room getting ready to enter the ring.
I can agree that the Armani lui isnt the most exciting one on the market and perhaps the quality or formula has changed over the years, so what I have isn't what's being sold right now, but as far as all around pleasantness of a scent goes, it has always been one of my favourites. Any time I smell it "I (still) like this.", never "Enough of this". There's been a few years (or itterations of the scent?) where I went noseblind after two minutes. And no, it wasn't during 2020-2022. But that was probably a me issue, not the scent being too weak.
Tres Nuit Pour homme. I wanted a scent like Green Irish Tweed without the high cost. And I didn't have a green scent for my collection. Should have just bought a sampler of Green Irish Tweed. The Tre Nuit makes me gag. 🤢🤮
Call me crazy, but sometimes I want to have a fragrance that doesn't feel like a fragrance. Just a light combined smell of existence. Like when it wouldn't be appropriate to wear a scent or I just wanted to be neutral smelling.... That is when I use Karl Lagerfeld for men. You are right, it is not a scent i desire to wear but more like a room spray Karl Lagerfeld probably liked and then bottle and had sold.
A couple of years ago, I bought some Duc de Vervins from Houbigant, and as a blind buy, it taught me that designer cologne can't always be trusted, and its smelly memory still takes me back to my clinicals in a retirement home. Just a nothing-new-under-the-sun fragrance that smells like grandpa's abandoned rocking chair.
LOL!!! I am SO thankful I never pulled the trigger on Wall Street from BN9. I don’t know why it gets positive feedback so much on fragrantica but I let my instincts make the choice of NOT buying it.
Desire Blue is the predecessor to fragrances like Versace Pour Homme, Chanel Allure Homme Sport, Missoni Wave…. It isn’t near the quality of any of the others mentioned…. But for $20, you could do a lot worse… Has a hint of something 90’s in it as well…. Like an added musk..
I agree...but i think desire blue is a clone of diesel plus plus (made in 1997), but diesel plus plus smells better (has a milky undertone) but doesnt last as long.
Armani HE shouldn't be in this list.. . It has gotten me complements in the past and still does at the office or very casual situations. Its a classic. Thats why i have it
Never smell Karl Lagerfeld For Him before but Karl Lagerfeld Private Klub on the other hand, smells awesome. Smells like a fresher version of Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb and last longer. Sadly it's discontinued though.
I know it's considered a masterpiece, but I just can't handle the petroleum note in Farenheit EDT. I really enjoy the smell of diesel & jet exhaust and other hydrocarbons in their unburnt state, but I just can't wear Farenheit EDT. Worst blind buy to date.
„HE“ from Armani is a Great Perfume. This perfume does not belong in this List. (The Old Original Version,i don‘t know new release from 2020, maybe it smells different.) But the old release, It's easy for everyone to like. But the Longervity is really really Bad….
You’re right. I’ve bought 3 Mancera fragrances, Cedrat Boise, Hindu Kush and Aoud, lemon, mint. All of them were w@nk and I sent them back for a refund!
Im curious with discounters, In Australia, we have Chemist warehouse who sell fragrances sometimes for less than 50% of retail. Ive heard that they receive old stock but not sure. Ive bought a few and Im on the fence about that theory?
When I was watching (Women React To Affordable Mens Fragrances by Baldassarre Fragrance), I got the impression that they really liked Nautica Blue... Now I'm a bit confused
Gold Intensive Aoud is one of the best Manceras I own. For me it smells nothing like the other oud Manceras and I probably smelled most of them. A girl from my gym bought it after smelling it on me. It works great on her too. Plus my girfriend has a bottle too, smells amazing on her too. Just my taste 😅

I can only think of two which are boss number one, smelled exactly how my grandma house smelled like. And worst offender was franck Olivier 0ud Touch. It really smells like 💩 to me and I though I was crazy and passed it around to my friends and same conclusion. I like oud but oud touch is just a public toilet in the sun...
Well, I don't know how is Boss Number 1 nowadays, but it smelled great. It's dated, but I'm dated too and I'm here...😂 About Oud Touch, from Franck Olivier, I wear it in cold last winter and a girl some twenty years younger than me gave me compliments. I've been surprised, because it's an oud fragrance and those fragrances are not commonly complimented. I expressed it, but she insisted that liked it very much... 😎
I don't care WHAT a fragrance does or smells like... ain't no way I'd spend $750.
Yeah, I'm with you.
It's all just scented water. Mental paying hundreds on a single bottle
@@wishawlad3635scented alcohol, actually

I like them also. Tobacco leaf is very strong, just be light on the trigger. It doesen’t smell syntethic to me.
Definitely enjoyed this type of video. You should definitely do more or at least in this style “what NOT to buy” or “get these instead”

I would buy Fierce if they change the bottle to a classy one. This one is just too tacky.
DUA Fierce Attar .? / Now it's on my list ` 👍
I have legend and it is one of my absolute favorite scents. I don't care what anyone else says
@@shaunphan9039
You can buy one with an all clear bottle. They have that option online and at the mall I believe.
Its a great scent, just terrible performance.
I love that Armani!!! My uncle used to wear the original and the scent memory is the best for me .
I bought Nautica Blue as a cheap "gym" fragrance. I sprayed it once and it's been in the back of my closet ever since. I kind of want to give it away but honestly I'd feel bad to whatever friend I'd give this to.
😂
Great video!!! One of my friends described the Polo Blue EDT scent smelling like a magazine!!!🤣🤣🤣
It does 😂 but people love it on my skin, girls goes crazy whenever I wear any blue fragrance.
I like the smell of a magazine
I like bond no9 wall street, its a beastmode. The drydown reminds me a little of silver mtn water.
that no1 when i smelled it the first time... i swear i was shocked as to how accurate they got the "old money" vibe... if old money was a fragrance it'd be no1
Do this list for a whole MONTH! Consider it a fragrance collection de- construction video!
I bought Dunhill Desire Blue back when it came out in 2002. I agree, it was OK smelling, but very synthetic.
Kind of a typical late 90's young men's fragrance. I used up my bottle and never bought a replacement.

You’re correct….Mancera has waaaay too many meh fragrances. They have a few bangers though.
Best Mancera Bangers?
Great video Ash!!

Wall street l owned twice, lots of compliments and one of their best sellers still

@@GucciButNotGuilty The feminine version, Donna Born in Roma is an excellent fragrance for women. I love the smell on a woman!
ASH - best niche colognes that smell like Mont Blanc Explorer *excluding* Aventus?
I was really expecting Bentley for Men Intense on this list. Incredibly overhyped fragnance that smells really awful.
"But it's niche quality!"
💯😂😂😂
Bought a sample decant to try it out. Ufff! I don't get the appeal either, but some people like it.
@@phantomspacemanyeah, never understood where it's coming from. If you put it against real niche alternatives, there's nothing to even compare.

I wanna know which just jack fragrances are the best?
I wouldn't pay 750 for a fragrance even if i was a multi millionaire just out of principle
Just Jack Amalfi Coast is, IMO, a great attempt at TF Mandarino Di Amalfi.
A couple of years ago, I bought some Duc de Vervins from Houbigant, and as a blind buy, it taught me that designer cologne can't always be trusted, and its smelly memory still takes me back to my clinicals in a retirement home.
