I got Montblanc explorer blue 100ml for 9$ at Burlington coat factory late Summer, Smh never worn it

Joop Homme was a fail for me, I remember using it & wearing it years past. So I was like hmmm maybe I try it again nearly 20yrs later. Epic Fail & never again 😂
Smells like cough syrup
I had it in high school in the 90s and remember liking it and I bought a bottle about 6mo ago and just gave it to my nephew. Which he then gave to a friend. I'm pretty sure his friend threw it away.
I've never smelled CK defy EDT But the EDP is actually really lovely. Fresh spicy clean lovely
@@RBC0405defy is like an amalgamation of every blue fragrance, it doesn't do anything particularly well or have a high point which you would favor it over anything else out there. Most people would just say it's very boring. However, it's definitely a super safe dumb reach fragrance once the price drops to the 20-30 range. People would probably love it if it was much cheaper, it was usually in the 50-60 range for a long time. However, it's not bad by any means.
Great video Ash. I don’t own any of these, which I guess at this point I am happy about. I blind bought Oud Touch by Franck Olivier years ago and immediately was not a fan. Tried a few times and it just got worse, so I sold it.
It's okay, Ash, if you don't want to say Azzaro Wanted EDP is terrible because you don't want to hurt their feelings, I'll do it for you.

Also blind bought montblanc ultra blue, it smells nice and it’s probably the worst performance out of any of my fragrances. Not too mad tho cuz it was like 14$ I just added it to get free shipping lol

HUGE Above &. Beyond fan here. Going to a live Group Therapy show is on the bucket list. I blind bought Asad and totally regret it. Stuff is nasty. I gave it away to a friend.

Versace Eros and Wanted By Night were my biggest blind buy regrets. I did get a lot of compliments, but both were much too sweet for my liking. I prefer wearing fresher scents.
That's surprising that they were blind buys. Those two are on almost every fragrance counter for free sampling, at least in the US.

I bought explorer ultra blue in a macy's backstage store, used twice, dont grew on me, then I gifted to my dad and he like it, guess this is how the world works

Defy Eau de Parfum, however, is a top-notch leather spicy, somewhat fresh fragrance with a decent performance

Can you suggest me: I have Tobacco Vanille clone. Should I go for Spicebomb Clone though I don't want similar smelling kind of perfume? Both are Tobacco + Vanilla based.

I don’t think they’re all THAT similar (especially if you’re talking about the original Spicebomb), but they obviously are in a similar “family” of scent so if you want something truly different, try something else like a fougere or aquatic or freshie etc…
If you want cheap, just look for Cremo Spice and Black Vanilla. I prefer By the Fireplace for that smokiness, so I love Lataffa Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oud

Fun fact, wore SB Ex Tues and Wed went to spray TF Noir Extreme and I got SB Ex 🫤 so I put it right back on the shelf.
Hugo Boss - Pacific is my regret recently. . Smells very dated and oily. Not refreshing or coconutty.
My regretful blind buys were Rasasi Hawas and Mancera Kumkat wood. My only two fragrances I never wear.

@muzim8931 yeah... it's pleasant, better than any other boss... but to me, nowhere near the hope. Probably because I like stronger oud/rose.. this is, not surprising, very 'designer' and smooth. I guess I expected different/more after the hype
I love the Calvin Klein Defy. It smells so fresh. I love it. I didn’t like the Eau De Parfum. The EDP was just not for me. Hated the coconut in it.
Some Rasasis years ago i regret and some vintages that where spoiled 😢

I swear I regretted buying literally all those clones. Every single one of those lattafas, armafs, afnans etc. So if you can distinguish quality difference, I recommend not to bother with the clones.
6:41 Ash is pedantic☝️😁💯 To be honest, I myself keep perfume in boxes "without even removing the cellophane" I like the aesthetics and cleanliness 🤣🤣 I leave only 100-200 ml bottles on the shelf. I've seen that in old movies.

My latest and greatest blind buy fail is Maahir Legacy. Its not that bad but i dont like it much. I have another fragrance that smells like it named Bullet Gold by Bharara Beauty
If Maahir Legacy really is a clone of Sedley then i don't think I'd like Sedley at all 🤔
I see my bank balance increasing after what not to buy videos. Maybe a giftable bottled item for the next occasion.

recently got the MB Explorer Blue from a discounter. nothing special, but a great scent to wear to the gym for the price
Biggest regret... Amber and leather aka ombre leather clone. On skin it's just too pungent and almost has a skunk scent. On clothing, it's still not great, but it has slightly grown on me. I still get nervous whenever I try it out in public which is rare.

I’ve never been a big CK fan. That product line is like a Thomas Kinkade painting. Just screams commercial sellout.
My worst blind buys are Cartier declaration d un soir, Toy Boy, Zino, Ameer al oud intense.
Ultra Blue is straight. Found a 100 Ml at TJ Maxx for $40.
My biggest regret in 2023 was ITALICA too, I just sold it an hour ago 💃🏻😄 I can’t get that people saying Italica in top 5 or top 10 for life !!! Come on people it just a candle scent, I can’t even call this a perfume 🤦🏻♀️
Obviously u don t know anything, but that s fine, is not for everyone, a mediocre nose would make that statement, u r not ready for one of the best gourmands ever
I have a couple of clones, but I don’t tend to get them anymore. I would prefer to just have the real thing.

Yeah sure, Iris flower has no smell. Orris butter (root of the plant) however smells like lipstick.

Like any item containing alcohol, so long as you keep it away from sunlight and drastic temperature shifts. You should be fine. Even with the date being long expired, it’ll still smell amazing!

It’s has something that throws it of for me maybe it’s the cypress.
I never comment, but montblanc ultra blue is a sports fragrance? It’s pepper. Open up a bottle of pepper and that’s what this fragrance is. Anyone who says otherwise is nose blind. It’s 100% pure pepper
Zafeer Oud Vanille - I wouldn't have been surprised if he set it down on the counter and it started wandering around zapping the other fragrances yelling "EXTERMINATE"

MONTBLANC EXPLORER ULTRA BLUE is a very decent everyday cheap fragrance.
I don't know what Ash is on about. Maybe he should add his Maloul scents on this list.

My 4 Blind Buy Fails:
* Burberry Touch for Men (smells feminine af, had to recheck to make sure it was the "for Men")
* Dolce&Gabanna K EDT (smells like dollar store window cleaner)
* Montblanc Ultra Blue (just re-smelled, it's a bit better and masticated a bit. Originally reminded me of the plastic smell of a summertime inflatable pool toy. Only paid $40 for the 100mL at the time)
* Alfa Romeo Red (smelled like decaying fruit rinds. Haven't re-tried since)

@@soraninja It's definitely overhyped, it seems. Way too strong on the pink pepper note to be very off-putting. Mine has been collecting dust for the last year or so.

ck defy is super solid to me. i wear it to the office and i've only ever received positive reactions.
Come on bro ck defy isn’t that bad , I’ve def bought way worse over the years .. surprisingly the parfum smells pretty , Macys had it marked down to like 50 bucks so I picked it up .. I will give you the the edp and parfum are way better than the edt

Afnan London Royal Imperia is the worst blind buy ever. Not mass appealing at all. I receive negative comments everytime I wear it. People say that it smells like Raid roach spray 🤮. Two thumbs down 👎👎

My biggest regret was buying ysl edp, I blind bought it bc of all the hype, then went to the store and smelled the le parfum, and kicked my self for not buying that one
Same I gave y edp away it smells sour the y le parfum smells way better but not trying pay $130 to $150 a bottle for it!
