Lulu deserves more credit as one of the great female singers of all time she has an amazing voice and can really belt out a song sydney australia 20 august 2022
This hidden gem is my favorite Lulu song. The lyrics and the orchestration evoke a mood rarely felt in contemporary music. Played on pop radio channels back in the '60s, the song had the feel of 'adult music' blended with 'teenage music .' It was truly one of Lulu's underrated gems.
The American Music Industry should be ashamed they didn't promote Lulu as she deserved. She was by far, the best "blue eyed soul" singer of her day. Had she been paired with a writer such as Thom Bell? Ohh...that would have been wonderful!!!!
Forget "To Sir, With Love." THIS is Lulu's supreme achievement in the recording studio. Her masterpiece, in which she brings all her gifts of musicianship to the forefront. Thanks for your hard work. Cheers.
Wow!! This is a Great Song! SUCH Beautiful Orchestration and what a wonderful voice Lulu has! Can you believe this song is over 50 years old?. It doesn’t get any better than this!! So Beautiful! Best Of My World! Peace! Steve
She really nailed this song in mostly drama classes....a beautiful ballad best amongst both worlds we have or had... feeling the song made my tears fall so I remember...✨💫❤️👌⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Songs choices and so who's who?❤️
Best of both worlds and To Sir With Love are my two favorite songs from Lulu. This version along with the pictures you show of her are precious❣️She Sings it with such feeling. Thank you for sharing this jewel of a song.
This was a song I haven't heard in 52 years and the phrase "best of both worlds" had been rattling around in my head lately along with me singing it in my mind. Thank God for Google and RUclips that brought me here. This was a paperboy era song that would play on juke boxes on Sundays when the gang of us would meet after our deliveries for coffee and toast. By the way which would total 30 cents for both back then.
My favorite Lulu record and she made so many great records! It was very special to a previous single that did not catch on, but this one did. She sings the Hell of it! And that fabulous orchestration!
I remember her singing this live on the Joey Bishop talk show on American T.V. shortly after the single was released. She was absolutely riveting and I realized this was a major talent and artist to reckon with.
....this was Lulu's great song.....even up to this time could be ever aired and have a chance young people hear it will love and appreciate it so much....this song is rare and a gem in the record library.....
March 23, 2015 There were women as well who figured prominently in the British Invasion.... Lulu! I so much appreciate this lady's interpretations in her music..... Lulu. Her passion is riveting!
this is really a great song that i was looking for itss lyrics a long time ago. I first heard the song when i was 17 yrs old and never forget it.its only now that i know this is Lulu's song
I am a man....a hardcore hard-rocker. But also, as a trying-hard musician, I get touched and moved by sweet, sentimental songs such as this. I am 63 now and lived those times when this was played on the radio. Thanks for uploading. Lovely memories make the hair on my back stand stiff. Am just wondering how you remixed the song.
I worked as a technical audio-visual man before, that's why I can admire your work on the same level. But I don't do that anymore. Keep up the good work.
And I appreciate your compliment all the more...thanks, Ed...I have about 630 more of these vids and remixes on my channel...I'd love for you to check out some when you can!
Another wonderful extended version! And Lulu of all singers. Funny, I'm going through and updating a list of my 100 favorite records and you've done extended versions of about ten of them! We both have good taste I guess. :)

Mine too.
Yep, mine also! Her voice, the strings, a real 007 ring to it.
The American Music Industry should be ashamed they didn't promote Lulu as she deserved.

So sad we no longer have the writers and artists of long ago. IMO, music today is an absolute joke compared to this!!

Sonically, this tune is far better than "To Sir, With Love". A criminally neglected gem!!!
Yes, Billy...this is a terrific song!!! Mosogotam doesn't put up extended versions unless they are very special...
Your uploads are such a treat for a young person like me because I would have never discovered these gems if it were not for you!
Não escutava há mais de 50 anos! Serviria como trilha sonora do 007. Linda, obrigada a quem postou❤
