March 2024. I'm 65 this year, I've grown up listening to Tom Jones, I probably even watched this performance the first time round. Tom's generation of singers were truly exceptional, they had it all, talent, charisma (Tom still does), they didn't need gimmicks, auto tuning, they worked the clubs, the shows, nothing was handed to them on a plate. . Tom sang with his whole body.....we will never see his like again in today's performers.

I received an early birthday present this year: I got to see Tom Jones in Nashville, TN. While he doesn't sing like this anymore, his voice still gives the listener a fine gift. Yes, he is 83, but still possesses great phrasing, tone, and emotional delivery. Tom Jones can STILL hold and audience really sing.

It's amazing how songs can transport us to another place and time. They bring back memories. A day when you heard a song years ago and all of a sudden you can see that blue sky you saw that day, you see that beautiful woman again as she was 40 years ago, you smell those leaves burning in the backyard... music is amazing and the best singers bring those memories back.

I’m not sure if this is really Tom J or someone who sends replies for him 😉but I will reply as if to Tom himself. I just want to say that this performance is my favorite. No theatrics, as was expected of you in your Las Vegas days, which is where I saw you on TV for the first time when I was just 29 years old. I discovered this performance at my current age of 67 and I prefer the suit and tie and simple staging, nothing to detract from that voice. The same with your show This Is Tom Jones. suit and tie and your voice. Theatrics are not necessary for someone with such a voice. I have many regrets as I look back through my life and wish for a reset lol. I wonder if someone such as Tom Jones does the same. Keep singing 👍

I saw him in Vegas in 1991. Had front row seats. We watched his orange makeup melt off! My aunt took me. I was 31 and she was about 75. She leaned over and giggled and said ‘he’s got a cute little ass, doesn’t he?!’
I saw him at Fair Park in Dallas, TX in the 1970's. Women were going wild, and a few threw panties on stage. He was awesome.
