Recorded in 1988, but never released by Eminem.
After the eruption of the public beef between Eminem and The Source Magazine owners (Benzino and Dave Mays), that first started in 2002, they decided to held a press conference where they played two (at that time) unknown Eminem tracks, where he was delivering multiple racial slurs, "Foolish Pride" and "So Many Styles", using them as a way to give Eminem a bad reputation, painting him as a racist. After this conference Eminem issued a statement saying: ''The tape they played today was something I made out of anger, stupidity and frustration when I was a teenager, I'd just broken up with my girlfriend, who was African-American, and I reacted like the angry, stupid kid I was. I hope people will take it for the foolishness that it was, not for what somebody is trying to make it into today.'' - It was never intended to be heard by anyone.
In early January of 2004, The Source ended up including a CD with those tracks on that month's edition of the magazine.
Eminem also apologized on his song "Yellow Brick Road":
“But I’ve heard people say they heard the tape and it ain’t that bad
But it was; I singled out a whole race
And for that I apologize, I was wrong
‘Cause no matter what color a girl is, she’s still a ho”.

Black and Mexican families raised me as their own. I learned from them. At 16, I apologized to that boy, and we had a real conversation. It took me years to reprogram myself. Here I am years later, and I'll shamefully admit, I'm still working on it. Cultural stereotypes are everywhere in our society, and it is backwards thinking that isn't helpful. There is also so much miseducation about black people in our history. We are programmed to fear them. We are programmed to hate them. We are programmed to hold white people to the highest regard. It's sick brainwashing from the time we are born. It takes a lot of time and work to educate ourselves, and reprogram our minds. Because of this, I truly believe there are very few white Americans who are not racist. That is a sad truth. That being said, people absolutely can change for the better. I am living proof and I believe this of Em as well. 💯
