cuz it's art to them cuz they invented them or something
So you don't dirty the wall when you walk over it duh
@@breakcoregirlxd What the fuck bro no. It’s a common practise to put rugs on the wall in many countries. Russians didn’t event rugs. Here in Portugal in old Palaces you have old rugs on the walls as well. It’s art. They hang a rug like you would hang a poster of furries.
If NFKRZ didn’t have long hair he honestly would lowkey fit in this apartment with that outfit ngl
The pants are the perfect combo of young and hip and Dimitri that plays backgammon and talks abbout his life as an engineer.

Hello from Vancouver British Columbia! I had a friend as a kid in the 70s and his house had a giant purple velvet sectional sofa with a corner table with hidden compartments AND a pop up lamp at the other end. Cheers!
I kinda feel bad for her having to film while he rips the shit out of her flat

Its so weird, Russian Apartments come with the leftovers of the previous resident.
@Jake Johansson Jail time if you don't leave the Rug?
I would say that renting apartment for a long time is still something unusual for most of russians. Renting apartments for short time (from 1-2 days up to few weeks) was widespread even in USSR times, and this culture of short time renting just extrapolated for longer periods.
@Jake Johansson сейчас бы шутку принимать за тролинг
That table-couch is something I would like to have in my house.
Leather door is awesome and the widow in the bathroom for light is actually a brilliant idea
Bruh. Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Not only did you know Vancouver is expensive af, you even know which province it’s in. Fk yea
Most* of the refrigerators in the State's are taller than the average person. It's interesting how different other countries design and use standard household appliances.
Actually, that's just a cheaper version of refrigerator. Standard ones are taller than the average height.
A russian speaker speaking english with a British accent is the best thing I've ever seen.
It's common bc in Russian schools people learn British English with that accent stuff and such
The fact that he speaks English makes him an Englsih speaker or am I wrong?
@@mjdifon22 Its common in a lot of Europe. You can tell based on the accent if someone learned most of their english in school or through media based on the accent and their pronunciation verse total vocabulary.
@@guppy719 do you think if they sound more american they learnt it off the tv? What of they sound half and half?

Roman: Soviet Babushka Apartment
Bald & Bankrupt: Ooooh! Count me in!
I feel like this video made in Hungary, but in Hungary apartments are fucking EXPENSIVE! This would be 2x more expensive in Hungary. :'DDDDDD
And yeah don't talk about our Hungarian currency. :'D
Washington D.C. ....depending on the neighborhood you could easily pay about $1200-1500 monthly no bills paid, for that apt.
Its brutal here.
Roman,
These babushka apartments are far better than the inhabitants expected from life. They had to work five years at a factory to get in the line for a new apartment. Those tapestries represent 20 years of labor, and Hedrick Smith told of the notorious line in downtown Moscow for one. It lasted for three solid days just to sign up to get one. Then, everyone waited in two more lines before delivery.
You should put this in context of what their lives were actually like.
It is a pity we could not see your friend in the video, she sounds really nice & sweet and would be a good advert for coming to Russia.
