I have the black G10 version, and it's my new daily carry. Liked it so much I pre-ordered the titanium micarta (Knifecenter exclusive) version. That one will be my "dress" carry.

Love the pyrite, I'm excited to see blade hq exclusive in CF/ Titanium with S35vn. There's also some white mountain exclusive's out there. Fantastic knife, a much more inexpensive alternative to the bugout, giving the elementum a run for the money!!
Me too, looks like it’s gonna be awesome. Significant price hike though (which is understandable).

The all steel/linerless model of the pyrite have by far the best action but this one is definitely the best looking
I am enjoying this same version of the Pyrite as well. It's a much better value than the $199 BladeHQ exclusive with S35VN and Carbon Fiber scales. I have two Malibu, in blue and black, and this holds up well against them.
Thanks for watching! I have carrying it as my main EDC since I opened it in that video. I like it very much. I do however have some criticism. At least on my example, their are some issues. But I am willing to put up with them because it’s been so nice to carry and use. I will be doing a follow up video after I get some more pocket time. I love the Malibu. Took me forever to find one for sale, but I finally got one. The standard for button locks I think!!
That’s a good looking knife. I’ll be honest I bought an Elementum button lock and it was… ok. Didn’t blow me away and it never has gotten any pocket time.
This one looks like it would get carried
The titanium version of the elementum button lock is far better than the micarta and g10 versions. If you ever get a chance, give that one a try. I think you'll be surprised how much better it is.

Got a black steel one today. I was impressed right out of the box for under $50 it’s a great deal
There’s just something about the liners it feels cheap. But I mean it is a cheap knife so. But these cheap knives are definitely getting better and better.

What is it with micarta I absolutely hate the stuff yet every new model of knife that comes out that I’m interested in is in bloody micarta
I went on Knifecenter to buy the Pyrite with the waves in the handle, but then I seen this one with the titanium bolsters and bought it instead.

Thanks for watching!!! You know…I never noticed the clip length. Is. Nice length in my opinion and very functional. Some other titanium clips can be so rigid and very difficult to use. This one is great. Perfect retention and ease of use.

Two drops of KPL Ultralight will wash out the grit. No need to open the knife 👍

Thanks for watching! They are both quite nice in my opinion. I do love the regular elementum for for its size. The button lock is larger. However, they are set to release the regular size in a button lock real soon. You can already place preorders for it……and I’m in on it! The pyrite is just as beautiful.
@@averageknifeguy83 I received the KC Pyrite and I like it a lot. I have a We Elementum (titanium and 20cv) that unfortunately is out of commission after carrying it at the beach. The sand must have gotten into the bearings or something.
I saw the Elementum ii button lock and that thing will be a best seller for sure.

Got this and was very disappointed with the button lock. The thumb studs had become useless cuz that button had the blade locked in. Had to disassemble it twice to fix it. Rotated the button itself around a bit. The face where the lock contacts the blade is rough, so pretty unhappy that such an important part was not up to standard in a $80+ knife. I’d be singing its praises otherwise…
I would say this is the version to get
I have the blue G-10 Pyrite and love it. I bought this version as an upgrade and the detent was way too strong. I couldn't reverse flick it. Ended up selling it. It's a shame as this would be a stellar exclusive otherwise.
I had a similar issue with mine. I couldn’t even thumb flick it. Spent a day and half opening and closing it with two hands and it eventually broke in. I’m guessing there was a burr left over from poor finishing.
I have the opposite issue. Just got mine last week and the detent is so weak that I can wrist flick it out without much effort at all. And the button sticks. I might have to return it. Frustrating.
