@@philippwelsing9108 Awesome thanks for feedback. I haven't played with MPM at all, but when I do I might do tutorial. Sounds good I'll do tutorial on vex stuff soon. Thanks again.
Hi! You can get this shape but you won't have as much control over all your velocities. You can create a velocity volume and put that into your sim as a source volume just sourcing v or vel and that can work for faking it, but for controlling exactly how flip reacts when you drop a droplet in there not so much. You can try playing with the velocity smoothing by decreasing that value to get more splashy behavior and increasing the res and maybe increasing the droplet parameter may help as well. But these are all just ideas not foolproof tested methods or anything.
Hi, I'm doing everything according to the tutorial and in the simulation section I just have the dots falling down and repainting during the fall. I don't understand what to do.
Hi there, can you post screenshots if youtube will let you? Or Hpaste or give me a link to your scene so I can see more of what you mean? I'm not sure what repainting means unless that's a typo.
You do need to make sure you have a ground plane in there and make sure ground plane is left input in the merge mode. Any collisions go on left input before the sim.
Favourite new Houdini channel, thanks so much for your work. Highly appreciated and looking forward to more. No bullshit, just wisdom. 👏
Thanks a lot! Yeah I'm thinking of teaching a bit more vex and maybe even python for future videos. Any specific content you want to see more of?
@@TyHoudinifx Practical VEX would be amazing. And MPM. How to really control it. 😍

This was incredibly helpful, especially when you were live updating attributes, it helped me grasp a more what each attribute was doing!
That's awesome! Glad it was helpful! I plan on making more tutorials like it.

Hey , this was great m8. ... very concise
Is there a way to get this shape but using a drop to create the splash? Awesome tutorial thank you!

thx very nice!
