me too, vocalists these days can't seem to pull off that style of singing. Everyone is monotone or sounds like everyone else, not many vocalists have a unique vocal sound. Unless your name is Miles Fucking Kennedy, who is one hell of a vocalist and has the range to pull off the 80's early 90's style of singing

But Gabbi is now the world-class singer. Therefore, allow me a few comments. I read some comments on your web site I think:...she has a great voice, but needs to get into the song....it's not coming from the heart therefore lacking in soul...so this song doesn´t fit her passionately, she still kills the techniqueAnd I must reluctantly agree with them. I think especially in the last 2 songs you did (Fool For Your Loving and Wasted Time) is given more emphasis on singing technique than on the overall impression of the song. Great voice, big range and brilliant technique is not always everything. But I understand these are just a "study" records, not regular covers. I believe when she could make a regular covers (with the band for example) she will make it much better.

I absolutely love that people are still loving to sing these songs from a band I’ve loved since I first heard them. This young lady has an absolutely AMAZING range and beautiful voice! I would definitely love to hear her sing something she loves and can relate to. Even if it’s in her own language. As a big fan of Skid Row, and knowing that "In a darkened room" is a song about a child who has been molested, I think my head would just explode IF I saw anyone sing it with anything less than ALL the emotion that it should be sung with. I'm kinda drunk and have been up for a long time, BUT, maybe IF the vocalists had learned to sing songs in perfect pitch and all that BUT NOW they need to sing the songs with EMOTION, and really FEEL what the song writer is feeling. IF NOT just do another song.
The subtle and PERFECT (alternate) harmony of the backing vocals at exactly 3:40 (when the lyrics say "time", so start at 3:35 to know what I'm talking about) gives me chills since the early '90s has been NAILED in this version as well. And I'm shivering now. Amazing.

Brent Smith (Shinedown) is a phenomenal vocalist to say the least. to me he is a cross between the lat Chris Cornell and Elton John. Definitely a better and more trained vocalist then Sebastian.
Sebastian Bach was a natural. He added technique but didn't probably train well over the years, and didn't maintain the youthful voice for very long. However, he did set the bar, and many performers today, who grew up listening to him and his peers, went from there and, with training, now has the vocal skills that used to be a rarity 30 years ago.
I been a sabastian bach fan since the eighties. Gabriela is the only voice I've heard so far that can give a run for the money to come close to Sebastian's voice. God bless her.

Depending on your style, I definitely suggest Joel O'Keeffe from Airbourne. Sounds sort of like AC/DC but more pleasing to the ear in my opinion.
