Dave, you are unquestionably the gold standard for instructional guitar content on the internet. I'm sure I speak for tens of thousands of guitar enthusiasts when I say, thank you, thank you very much.
I'm a, singer percussionist with a jazz but due to inevitable circumstances I also play solo with my acoustic guitar due to the demand of solo performers and musician like you is a very big help for my carrier my gratitude to now I can Play d guitar now with confidence since I'm much much better in playing the percussions with a jazz band thank you very very much
Beautiful voicing of the chords, Dave. Thanks so much for this (and all your other lessons). They have improved and enriched my playing. (In many cases I wind up making chord charts based on your lessons). -- A fan from 1/2 way around the world.
Another great song.. Thanks Dave.. I'm really enjoying learning to play guitar with these...definitely digging it over here on the Jurassic coast UK... and definitely very good.! 🍻
Dave , As always. You nail the exact chords , you really have an amazing talent for hearing songs and working out the proper chords Most people people post song tutorials with approximations which just drive people nuts - knowing that is just isn’t right. I know you love Stephen Bishop- I’ve spent years not quite figuring out his song Never Letting Go. Any chance you could take a look at this sometime. Keep up the great work
Interesting in Amaj7. I play it straight out of the Fake Book in Bmaj7. You are a great guitar player. You have quite the selection of songs too. Thank you Dave. Gotta go. I'll be back (there's a great Beatles song for you). sw
I am failing to see what is weird with this. The song is in B, here I chose to show it a whole step lower so it sounds better on the acoustic and easier to sing. At the end of the song it Modulates to C but only on the ending. So you basically play it a 1/2 step higher than the record. Not weird or a big deal. You do however, play the maj7 and on the record I can hear the 9. Omitting the 9 is not a big deal just not what I am hearing him play on the record. Try a Cmaj9 instead of Cmaj7. Other than that, if you were playing this song before you saw this tutorial, thats good on you. All is good.
And again… I must question everything I thought I knew. 🤣

Fan-effing-tastic.
Thank you!
Nice!!
Thanks!
Dude this is great, but it needs chord windows. Please can you update with them?! Would make this a million times easier to absorb. Great arrangement

I'll take a listen, not sure I know the song

Yes the record is a whole step up as I stated in the video. To play in record key on acoustic with no cutaway, just too high for me.
Sir can you do Heart To Heart by Kenny Loggins? It would be awesome
I'd love you to play the chorus slower you see I'm from Cape Town or just write down the chords please Dave
I am getting there that chorus I need to nail come on Dave
There is a button on you tube to slow down video
How do you play a Cbmaj9? It looks like a B minor7 youre playing.
Cbmaj9 is the same as a Bmaj9, except in the key of Gb you would call it as I did, a Cbmaj9.
weird. I 've always played this starting with Cmaj 7

Yeah this is a grouse song and thanks Dave, I'll get this under my fingers. I can't sing either but, who gives a rats.
Thank you for your tips from Montreal
