I was so excited to have my mom and dad in town for the special mothers day shoot with my mom but couldn't let the opportunity to sing with my dad and sister Callie pass by. We decided to put this song together the day before lol! I'm so amazed and grateful for their talents and couldn't have done it with out them :) I hope you enjoy!

Every once in a great while I come back and check this out and am so proud of my daughters. And this arrangement. Thank you for all the nice compliments from you all, you warm my heart. I've been meaning to do a guitar tutorial on it since so many have asked. I wish we all had time to do something like this every month or every week. And to the very few who say my daughters can't sing. OMG what planet are you from.

I really cried when you sang 'I'm going there to see my mother. She said she'd meet me when I come' I watched the recent Shaytard's vlog when Colette talks about her mum and Callie writing Ellen's song and somehow ended up here. Anyway I just wanted to say that Colette and Callie fill me with hope that one day there will be light at the end of my tunnel. I lost my mum recently and this song and Ellen's song resonate with me. So, Thankyou for filling me with hope wonderful ladies.

I love seeing Colette's side of the family singing together like this.. Seeing Vince (Colette's dad) looking at Colette you can tell how proud he is of both of his girls. Their love is so beautiful.

I love this old gospel song, it is so Celtic in its sound, and this the best version I have ever heard. The ladies voices are so pure and perfect and the harmony is perfect it reminds me of the Everly Brothers, the father playing and vamping its just perfect for this simple song. It brought me back home 50+ years and visions of my Grandparents and Uncles and Aunts and Great Uncle and Aunts sitting around sing it.

Kat Bro Your comment is spot on; I can't Find the tissues as I can't see! LOL I can see them (I don't know if they already do, but they SHOULD), all 3 be a band! Dad's perfect in the background, sis has Harmony DOWN, and the pretty (they're both pretty) girl on the RIGHT sings (my lack of musical terminology is apparent) the basic lyrics. Heart-rending melody; they put a magical, almost etheral spin on it. It's so full of true emotion, and SO believeable. Plus the talent! Is the X-Factor still on? I feel stupid
This reminds me so much of my family. When I was younger, the church we went to did all the music a capella and so we all sort of took a role and sang it together. And its weird really to look back because we sang this song at funerals all the time. My mom, my dad, my sister, and I. Bittersweet memory :)
