Very interesting. I would make a suggestion as an observation. When you pass by the bridge, perhaps show Picard standing in front of his Ready Room window as the camera is panning around just before you see the observation lounge. It might add a just a little more to it. Love how you showed Janeway, Seven and what looked like Chaykote standing by the window on your Star Trek Voyager intro.
Well done, sir! They most certainly more legitimate to the series than that shown in the Picard series. Most of all, I didn't care for the look of the bussard collectors. They looked like three swirling fans. I guess, they were trying to make them look more like the original Enterprise, but they stopped using that look in The Next Generation.
The version from Star Trek: The Motion Picture, has parts that were cut out, when the theme was made into the theme for TNG. PLEASE work your magic, on it!!!! This is truly magnificent!! It's like I'm 7 years old, in footie pajamas, watching the pilot for the first time, at Grandma's all over again! THE FEELS, THE FEELS!!!

However, for the most part having random lights turn-on-and-off would have been impossible because of motion-control photography! The regular strobe lights worked, but not random room lights.
Yeah, I know that the tech at the time couldn't manage that consistency and detail...syncing up over multiple passes etc would have been a pain. But maybe if DS9 or Voyager get the 4k restored treatment, who knows..
@@ministryoflies1344 So far as I'm aware, the only other Classic Trek that is even _technically_ capable of being upgraded to 4K would be _ENT,_ and that's mostly because all the space stuff was already all-CGI, and Season Four was the first (and only) to be filmed digitally. If I understand correctly, the problem with upgrading _DS9_ and _VOY_ to 4K is they'd have to digitally recreate every single physical model, and they don't have access to those anymore. On top of which- if the rumors are to be believed- Paramount Global is on the verge of bankruptcy, and they're looking to sell-off _Star Trek_ to Warner Brothers (assuming Alex Klutzman and Jar Jar Abrams don't -fuck up- that too), and so they're not capable of doing another 4K release at this time.
This is honestly the most faithful, clean, and accurate CG recreation I've ever seen on RUclips (plus for using the Season 1 theme). So much so, that this has become the definitive version of the TNG intro in my head. You are a true Star Trek fan, but above all else, an incredible artist. Top job.

@@AdmiralKarelia Season 1 and most of season 2 as a whole used a lot of that typical 80’s electronic synthesizer that shows of the time used in their sound tracks. Now as TNG progressed, it was phased out slowly and when they came up to season 3 I believe they changed the whole opening credits including the music, which was based on TMP. Basically they de-80fied the opening credits to more closely, yet TNG like, the TMP music.
Beautiful. The Enterprise looks gorgeous. And the attention to detail-you can see the city lights on South America and all the visible parts of Earth facing away from the sun. Perfect.

I like how some of the lights turned on and off. Its as though people are either done with those rooms or are about to use them or they're going to bed or waking up for their shifts.
She does a proper warp stretch as she leaps,into warp, and the star explosion point is far enough away she feels,like she’s going REALLY fast, I love these warp jumps, the model is great, everything syncs nicely and doesn’t leave me watching the various plates failing to interact nicely and going “uh-huh” like I used to.. great job ^_^
Love the visual reference to the very first in-episode shot of the Enterprise-D from the TNG pilot combined with that super-detailed close pan from PIC S3.
That was so damn incredible. I mean, wow. Wow! I'm speechless. So much attention to detail. I could pause on the Enterprise, and see things (in my Picard accent) "never seen before"!
After thinking about how I can transfer the feelings I had while watching this, I can just say, that I got overwhelmed multiple times by the rendering, the visual effects of the warp-jump, the music and the overall feeling that you conveyed, which was exactly the feeling I had every time I sat down once again to watch an episode of this wonderful Series! Amazing how closely that final flyover shot mirrored the Enterprise-D's approach scene to Jupiter in the Picard Season 3 finale! And this was created first.
@@AdmiralKarelia Similar, but not quite. The last shot in the TV intro, the ship comes from behind and below camera. The Jupiter shot, they warp in and the camera comes in close on the bridge and follows it around to reveal Jupiter, getting much closer to the hull than they ever could with the shooting miniature in the old days. 🤓

..its 2023 I'm 42 ..but I remember watching in1987 . But the only way was watching on a 12 " black and white tv. When I saw it in color....it is beautiful.
I noticed that, especially since the traditional opening has the Enterprise flying under the camera rather than that flyby at that point. I also noticed that you can see things behind the windows in almost exactly the same way. Even the angle from behind the ship following the flyover matches up.
It's time to release a 4k version of the full journey box set and it will be amazing to watch your favourite episodes in 4k. Yesterday's Enterprise would look awesome and even Q who! We can only wait and hope!

I always wondered what it must have been like to see this intro for the very first time to someone that grew up with the original series. To hear Kirk's words through Picard's voice, and to see the new enterprise come into view for the very first time must of sent goosebumps through every fan.
Well.... no. The general reaction from OG TOS Trekkers ranged from disinterest to outright disdain. TNG was not welcomed with open arms. It wasn't until the 3rd season when the majority of classic Trekkers came around. Prior to that, almost every aspect from ship design to their spandex uniforms were subject of ridicule. Even the Jerry Goldsmith theme was robbed from "real" Trek in many fans' eyes. Sorry, but no. No goosebumps. It was a different time. We came around & now TNG is roundly embraced.

From the 1:20 mark to 1:39 (just before the Enterprise goes warp) someone from the production of Picard season 3 must have been a fan of this video as it was used during the opener of episode 10, when the Enterprise comes out of warp near Jupiter. With the exception of the burn damage to the front of the Saucer (continuity nod from Generations) it's practically shot-for-shot.
Well Done love the textures added to the surface, with lights and emergency escape pods its also nice how you changed the angle of the first pass it hides the bottom starfleet logo.
If we'd had this clear an image of the ship back then and not that crappy video resolution they used, I would have actually felt something for this ship. She always looked like an overstyled model without any detail, and it turned me off. I only started to feel and believe it to be an actual ship with people on it back when Generations came into theatres and we finally got a high resolution image of her. Absolutely loved it. Your creation here is superior to that one.
I've always thought yesterday's enterprise would have been so much more awesome with actual Klingon battlecruisers, apparently they wanted to do a whole new ship for that episode but didn't have the time of budget. Great work.

Its here that you truly get to appreciate just how gorgeous a vessel the Enterprise-D was.
Many Starfleet ships are gorgeous. Defiant, Intrepid, Constitution Refit. But none are so *majestic* as the Galaxy class.
Voyager series was my first Star Trek ever. And I loved at first sight.
