- In this video we take a look i the latest Range Rover Evoque steering wheel will fit a Land Rover Defender L663. It is very close but not quite possible.
I put a D4 steering wheel with your silver paddles on my D3, needed different PCBs though. Also it was heated 😃👍
What video shows paddle shifters being added?

The question is does the 2020 steering fit the older evoque!?

Hello Simon…more brave work for Destiny and at least we know the job is impossible! Useless information…when disconnecting the battery terminal and tucking it to one side, in 1966 my Mum gave a a piece of flannel bed sheet to use to wrap around it to stop it shorting out. Yes…58 years on and I still have it in my tool box carried every day of course! I’ll go now….🏃♂️➡️🏃♂️➡️🏃♂️➡️🏃♂️➡️🏃♂️➡️😱😁😁😁😁😁
Hi Richard - I always have a handkerchief on me - everyday - most of the time it is an impromptu rag ! I feel naked without one. We are off to the festival of speed this week.... i managed to get press passes !
@@L663 Simon…I have been carrying a handkerchief every day for my entire life…exactly as you say, not having one feels dreadful and can even panic without one day and night! Yes..I’m at the FoS on Friday and then leaving for Cornwall straight after…the sixth time this year! I will look out for you…I’m easily spotted…the old man with grey hair!!😁😁😁😁 have a good time and don’t eat the Goodwood beef bread rolls…they are like trying to eat a wallet!! 😃😃😃😱😱😃😃😃Richard

@@L663 Simon…I will be there and see if we can meet up! The weather is worrying so I hope we don’t get loads of rain…I remember swamps in 2005 and I was one of the few to escape the top carpark without a tractor tow, in my SWB Shogun!
The Octa…it is a very big step up in costs and I guess you have to consider it as an income earner for the Company. Viewed in the cold light of Costs v. Benefits, would having a bigger engine and a small number of body changes give much additional inspiration for modifications that would sell and on that basis, I’m not sure it would be a financially successful plan. However, if you would like one as a car for you and Mrs P to own, drive and enjoy and bought through the Company then I would definitely say go ahead! It is a lot of money but you work so hard at Powerful and deserve your success so on that basis, choose some colours and make it a really nice one but best not to modify it too much if you think you would go on to sell it in a year or two. 😎😎😎

Surely an Evoque airbag, the one for the steering wheel, would fit?
Yes but not sure about the compatibility with the airbag module on the Defender - delay times etc etc

You can actually get the airbag off without removing the cowling
Really - its not even easy with the bottom cowling removed !
@@L663 I use a long allen wrench with a ball end, turn wheel 90 degrees from normal, so hole in back of wheel is at the top, pop your allen wrench in and release the clip. Rotate the wheel 180 degrees and do the same. Obviously remembering about disconnecting the battery for the airbag. If you don't disconnect the battery it's really easy to sound the horn also. I tried your method originally and couldn't get the airbag off, so tried to work out another way. I can now have both clips off the airbag in about 5 mins. By the way how are the brackets for the big screen coming along? It's something I really want to do.
@@defenderv8 I have asked ben to do this. We will sell our bracket kit / gen bracket kit / loom etc

You dodged a bullet there, the controls on those wheels are horribly unresponsive.

The evoque is the worst range rover made
The original 2011 Range Rover Evoque is a masterpiece of design and still looks modern. They have had some engine problems though on later models
