How is it that those "folks" are allowed bot monopolize the waterways with vessels that are totally mis-matched for the environment. Those appear to be ocean-rated craft and should be used in the open ocean - - not on a crowded lake. I'm not talking about a law here, unless that becomes necessary. I'm just talking common sense and decency. What's the challenge, anyway, in operating that craft on a relatively flat lake?
Frank these boats although they seem big are not really designed for open ocean. Yes they can certainly run offshore but they would much prefer a big calm lake. This event is very well organized and safety is a huge priority. Also these "folks" raised over $500k at this event for jdrf (juvenile diabetes). So while you may not like them or their boats realize they do a lot to help those less fortunate. If they wanna have some fun in the process I see no harm in that.
