  • learn to make fresh feta cheese at home.
    8 liters whole milk
    1 tsp calcium chloride, mixed in 1/2 cup water
    1 1/2 tsp rennet, mixed in 1/2 cup water
    1/8 tsp mm100 culture
    3 tbsp non ionized salt, don't put this in your milk, it's for salting the curd after it's separated from the whey.
    Follow the instructions in the video, don't hesitate to ask for help.

    Greek here, it is important that the milk is either from a goat or a sheep.
    If its from a cow, then what you are making is not feta.

      We don't all have access to goat or sheep milk, this may not be authentic but it tastes just like feta. Oh and thank you so much for your helpful comment, I'm sure you feel better about yourself now.

    one question when you add the ingredients you still heat the milk on lower heat or you turned of the stove

    If I wanted to add dried herbs to the feta cheese, when would I add them to the cheese mixture? Thinking of dried roasted tomatoes, basil and oregano .

    Will it still work with 4 litres of milk...my pots aren't big enough...the half all the ingredients???❤
